My issue with having the earth be billions of years old is that fact that there would have been death before sin entered the world. Before sin entered the world? Or before the serpent entered the world? For the wages of sin is death. Did the serpent sin before he entered the garden? John said that Jesus created everything, or did He.. "All things were made through him,
and without him was not any thing made that was made."And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind.

davewatchman doing this on the phone so I may miss something or slightly misquote (not deliberate). You have some assumptions baked into your post. First is how the Dinos were created and those photos. Really Dave? You're way smarter than that. We have exactly how many pictures of what dinosaurs really looked like? Something I had to apply to my viewpoint was that everything we see today from before the flood is not recorded anywhere except the Bible. Sure there are fossils of these creatures. Ever see a Silverback gorilla? Check out those teeth on that herbivore. Or the fruit bat. Catch that? Fruit bat! They have really pointy teeth but only eat fruit. Point here is we have no idea what these creatures we're actually like. We've never seen one eat anything so we shouldn't assume it was a monster. Next is when was it created? Was the TRex actually created or is it the offspring of the original two dinosaurs of it's kind? Red and yellow, black and white we are all precious is His sight. We all came from one set of genes. After the fall corruption of our DNA occurred. Why not the same thing with animals? Last point is what wiped them out 4500 yrs ago? Could it have been the flood and not some other explanation that denies God. According to our scripture the world is 6000 yrs old. I know there's a debate in there, which I do hold as a possibility but taking the word at the word, there was no such event as an asteroid wiping them out.

And just think how many people in your village could you feed if you killed the dinosaur that dwelled in the woods outside town?
I think it's Answers in Genesis that states that most dinosaurs we're not huge but more sheep-sized or smaller. Very easy to be hunted to extinction after the flood. Lots of animals have been brought to extinction by humans.

The question I have for scientists is -- how could every dinosaur be wiped out but not turtles, rhinos, alligators, etc.
I am sure they have an answer but it probably contradicts Genesis.

And so it could still be said that THROUGH Him, ALL things were made. But i tend to think there was something else going on. I don't think Noah took any of these dudes on the Ark with him.. Simple. Bowman, I often make mistakes about people. So it seems that you are a very good person after all and perhaps not trolling intentionally. You know, its like the world that we are living in is so very difficult and causes us to not trust each other. Thus, trolling is just a way of viewing the world. Perhaps it is more prevalent in the younger generations. For me and my generation we tended as a whole to be more courteous, most of the time. Like when I go into someone's home I am respectful whereas the younger people feel it is within their right to be abusive. I suppose it is like meeting the Savior and saying "What's it like to be the richest"? I did that when I was nineteen years old and would not ever be so disrespectful now. I would say thank you for being my Savior. So I do not think badly of your youthful indiscretion but hope you can grow out of it sooner rather than later. For you to presume that I would agree that "we are still in the seventh day" is disrespectful to me. Can you not see this? Please explain how you conclude that we are in the seventh day. I am not your 1st grade teacher so please get with the program and write something inspiring for me to read. |

YEC's insist on summing the generations to arrive at a creation date....even though scripture NEVER says to do so.
These same people likewise are constantly trying to determine an exact end date for the world as well....no surprise, there...
However...which OT text do you use for this summation?
As you can see, it can vary by thousands of years depending upon which text you use...

You're talking about "And the evening and the morning were the ______ day? That's because it's understood. It goes without saying. This differentiates the six days of the week from the seventh day. All six of the literal creation days had this: "And the evening and the morning were the ______ day. The seventh day was different. It was set apart and sanctified. By the only One that can make a day Holy. If the Lord put: "And the evening and the morning were the seventh day", it would make the seventh day an ordinary work day, like the other six. And fear not, God has not been resting since creation week. As a Sabbatarian guy, i not only rest on the seventh day as commanded, i work on the other six days. Six days am i commanded to WORK. This would not make any sense unless these days that we speak of were regular (360 degree rotation of the earth) days. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns.
For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day.
