The three wise men used astronomy to find Jesus at his birth. They studied the stars, they had nothing else to do at night so it makes perfect sense for God to use them as signs. I believe that this sign is going to mark the countdown to the end. I expect the the seals will be opened and the bowls will be poured out and then the trumpets will be blowing. When Jesus started his ministry he did not go to the rulers or religious leaders of the time, he went to simple fisherman and I expect that its simple people like us are the ones who can see what is coming. I sure hope its the rapture but don't know if the timing is pre, mid or post tribulation. Evil is raging in the world at this time and satan knows his time is short (rev 12). Get ready for a wild ride. I have been studying this type stuff for 25 years and this is without a doubt a Great sign (rev. 12)

Tiffany, so well-said. It is folks like you and so many humble others on this site that makes me feel at home here. I am spending no other time anywhere else. I can not even waste time at some of the FB groups that I follow for secular/business reasons. I feel like if I saw you Tiffany, we would give each other a big hug and feel like we knew each other for years! There is something about God's Word and His fellowship that commonality brings us together. Maybe those brothers and sisters who are irritating us is just part of the deal to keep reading and studying His Word even more as the end draws near. If we had no opposition, maybe that would be equally eerie..
On the comment of the Magi...without doing a word study on them, and recalling sermons I have heard, they must have been able to calculate the sky similar to what Stellarium does. I mean, they navigated WAY more by the night skies (and day) back then, and could put a GPS system to shame. And, btw, how would anyone back then know they were looking at a planet? Did they? Had God told us thru the Scriptures about planets? But they likely saw these bright retrograde-moving stars and studied them for centuries. Knowing by their calcualtions, I bet they knew the Star of Bethlehem was coming..and if so, they see the sign as a verification, not really a future event (will we ever know their minds at the time?)
With programs like Stellarium, one can say "we have been warned" and, for awhile now. This can easily mean that a major shift to end times can certainly happen ON THE DAY of the sign's completion, and so too with the American Eclipse...We have been watching it for how long now? Clearly the Israelites were not watching like the Magi were, or otherwise the scuttlebutt would have been all over Bethlehem before hand...not even the shepherds who watch sheep at night were aware of the Birth sign...one can draw parallels to our own "shepherds" (our pastors) in our current state of debate right now!
Lot had warning like what we are seeing unfolding on a computer program, yet he had it straight from the Horse's Mouth!
Lifting you all up today in prayer!
Maranatha!

We are so lucky... the King has tarried for so long, but we have been putting him to the test. It seems that God is finally putting His foot down. My salvation was worked by God alone; He drew me to Him. I think I was one of the last; God working overtime to pull those last few souls to Him.
Welcome, templeknight!

I think I was one of the last; God working overtime to pull those last few souls to Him. Well, we do know you are not the "LAST" -- Since Paul clearly says "I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in" Rom 11:25
That has always read to me as "A NUMBER" say 1,234,543,993 -- then BINGO -- time is up........

Get ready for a wild ride. I have been studying this type stuff for 25 years and this is without a doubt a Great sign (rev. 12) Great post, and what I bolded... wow! That really struck me. You are right. It makes complete sense that The Holy Spirit would use us, "commoners", for lack of a better word. One thing that I've seen for a long while now, and this is including ALL churches, not just the apostate ones... to say ahead of time that it's not that I'm trying to knock the brick and mortar church and was inevitable to happen due to the fallen nature of mankind and that worst of all sins called pride... Just as back when Jesus walked the earth and social structure, status, a pecking order existed; there were the revered and elite (example pharisees) and there were the lowest of the low (tax collectors). It's like that today. Not only is the world like this, but the brick and mortar church is like this. I can't think of a single church that isn't like this. There is a heirarchy in the brick and mortar church, no matter the denomination going from one or very few with the "most" power, considered almost "holy" and almost like this person or these few are deified by the membership and congregation of each church (and with Catholic church, forget about it, they ARE deified). It's like there is some unspoken rule that no one is allowed to question these people because it is considered disrespectful. In many cases, instead of going direct to Jesus, we go to these people in positions of leadership and power instead (and I'm talking EVERY church... the Catholics make it obvious but think... when in church and you go forward to have the "special people" pray for you. And it's like they are somehow "better" than we, not sinful like we are, they KNOW everything, they decide everything and it turns into being just like everything else in this world is... all sinful, all corrupt, all NOT what God wants. Power corrupts. And because of our pride and our vanity, no matter how humble one thinks one is or that they somehow will be able to handle the power, the fame, the attention, the being revered by fellow human beings as "special" and having much wisdom... Just... NO. It NEVER works out. The person with that status and power IS corrupted in one way or another. Just like what we see with this video and the condescending, know it all attitude of the person from Kiononia House. This type of thing exists at every brick and mortar church, it just does. It even exists over on the other forum I belong to and haven't been going there much lately because I feel like The Holy Spirit is being stifled there. Stifled, by those who are in charge. Why? Because their own status, their own power, goes to their head. Now, these leaders that I speak of, I'm not trying to put them down, to call them not saved, nothing like that. I am certain if it were me in a role like that, the same would happen to me. For certain this IS what happened with the Pharisees and the Sadducees when Jesus walked the earth. Think about it. From their viewpoint, they have dedicated their entire lives to God, have been raised since infancy to fulfill this role, trained intensively, and their entire existence centered around learning God's Laws and following them. Of course they were living in sin, because their power amongst the people had long since gone to their heads. But they truly were "trying" their best to follow God and His Word they had available to them at that time. Out of nowhere (from their perspective) here comes some dirty, average looking, poor, no status, nothing special about Him, nobody. The simple fact of his appearance more likely than not made their mind up about Him right away... this person is scum, this person is no one. To top it off, this person, Jesus, tells them things that go completely against what they have spent their entire lives learning about and doing. Now... they were only supposed to be doing these things until their Messiah came. But, they were so busy and so worried about doing these things, about "their doctrine", that they completely missed what is to me the very obvious fact that Jesus fulfilled each and every prophesy about their Messiah that they were waiting on. I read the Bible and I'm quick to judge them. But I don't know. If it would have been me, maybe I would have done the exact same as them. Because of power, pride, their role in leadership, they completely could not see Jesus was their Messiah. One other reason also: traditions of men. And today's church is steeped in so much tradition and most of that tradition is man made. The Catholic church leads the pack when it comes to that too. But all churches do it, at least I've never seen a church that has not. We set up a structure, we set up a routine, we set up rituals, we decide what the "doctrine" is... And we live and die by that. We follow that more than we follow Jesus, go to that before we go to Jesus, go to the leadership of whatever our denomination is before we go to Jesus (the denominations, there are many and God never intended it to be like this, as we are One Church, One Body). It's like... NEWS FLASH PEOPLE: Jesus died for us so it would NO LONGER HAVE TO BE THIS WAY! Jesus said we are all priests (Revelation 1:6). Why were there priests in the first place? Because man was sinful and could not go directly to God, so God appointed the Levites priests. When Jesus came though, and then died for us, He became our Priest. He made it so that we can go directly to God through Him. And when we get to Heaven we will rule and reign with Him! As usual though, man goes and messes everything up because we think that He is not enough, that His Word is not enough. We are just like Israel and need a person, need a human leader to follow, need a King. I know there are many who go to brick and mortar churches and forgive me if anything I am saying offends you. I don't believe that going to a brick and mortar church is sin, don't even believe that having traditions is sin. But when you either consciously or subconsciously set any human either up with God or sometimes even above God. That is a NO NO. When the tradition or the act of doing the tradition/ritual becomes more important than the entire reason it was created for... God... and then we stupid humans make the tradition/ritual more important than God... that is also a NO NO. God never meant for it to be that way and it's why He sent Jesus. He did mean for us to gather together in His name, and to associate with like minded, saved and born again people, to support and hold each other up, to encourage each other! But I don't think He meant for all these denominations, all this brick and mortar church stuff that has ended turning most churches completely apostate and to the point where God isn't even there in the church anymore, is barely even mentioned nor their Bibles even opened. Just a lesson about being a "good person" and then time for out to eat together, go to events, and basically live like the world does. Only difference is that it is said that they believe in Jesus. Most if not all brick and mortar churches that have any sort of leadership system... it's just the way it is because this is how humans are... we have pride, vanity, we like to feel important, we like to feel special and better than others. It is our flesh and best we can do is ask Jesus to help us with it, to keep us humble no matter what, and for those who are in positions of leadership to be very careful, especially careful. I think the best parallel is the parable about how difficult it is for the rich man to get to Heaven, that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle. Pride is why Satan fell and pride is also our greatest "sin problem". I'll be the first to admit it's been a problem for me in my life and it still is. I do struggle with it constantly. Just in day to day life I struggle with it. All of that though, to say that I believe the bolded in the above post is so right. I think that because the "commercialized, modern, brick and mortar church" that we have today. The leadership who think they know so much and they have a right to be in charge, to be condescending to brothers and sisters in Christ and even view it as helping them because they actually believe in their heart that we are being deceived because we are going against "their doctrine", "their interpretation" of God's Word (with the Revelation 12 sign and all that has come about since then, all the knowledge that I truly think is increasing and comes from The Holy Spirit revealing to us). I'm not here to judge them but I think they are so wrapped up in their doctrine, in what they have been raised up to believe, in their status in the church, in their tradition, so wrapped up in all of it they can't see the forest for the trees. It makes complete sense that God would reveal to us, and even that God would use new believers who haven't been overly inundated with all of man's doctrine. For me anyway, and I'm not trying to make myself seem like I'm something or someone because I am not, anything but. I was raised in church but I didn't genuinely and sincerely give my heart to Him until 2010. He's been changing me ever since. And I'd say, probably since this time last year, He has been HARD AT WORK in my life. I've learned so much, feel so loved by Him, and truly am so in love with Him! I've read the Bible before but now when I read, I'd say especially this past year, 2017, it's like so many things are jumping out at me that I had never seen before. It's like the first time I've read it. I used to think books like Leviticus and Numbers were SO BORING. But I don't now! I love it, no matter what book, all of it, it amazes me how in love with the Bible I am, to the point that if I have a choice to watch a good movie (used to see just about every new movie released); nope, not anymore. I don't even know what's been recently released because I could care less about it. I'd rather be reading the Bible. It really is crazy to me and He has changed me so much! I ask Him everyday to help me to be humble (because I DO need the help). Another thing I always ask Him, to clear my mind of everything man has put there, to give me eyes to see and ears to hear and to speak to me through His Word what HE wants to tell me. Not what man has to say about it but what He has to say about it, and to give me discernment (because I also do spend a good amount of time online, on youtube, reading at this forum, and it is useful, we can learn so much from other brothers and sisters in Christ). Just have to make sure we are listening to the right information, sifting, leaving the bad and taking in the good. I ask Him to help me determine which is which and at times I really don't know for sure. With that, I just ask Him to lead me. For sure I am not right on everything and I don't think there is anyone other than The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit who are right on everything. I have such a hunger and a thirst though, for Him, for His Word and I want to know so much exactly what it means down to every last nuance. I also want to respect though everyone, especially all of my brother's and sister's in Christ. Because if we are His better believe He does have a plan and purpose for us, and He uses us all. If we let Him, He will use the good from all of us, those things He reveals to me, to my brother, to my sister, to each and every person who follows Him. He will take all of it and make it whole. And not a one of us can boast, not a one of us is any more special or closer to Him than any other of us. That's His Church. That's the Church I am a part of! Christ's Body, that is my denomination, lol. God Bless, everyone and have a great day. It's off to work for me!

Pretty soon (hopefully) in person! Not much time because I have to go but agree so much with all you have said. And yes, I think opposition is good; or maybe not the word opposition, but just that we all speak freely what we feel led to by The Holy Spirit. Because by doing that we are fulfilling each of our roles as He intended us to, each a part of His Body. All of us together make a whole. And one of us without the other of us (like a foot but no leg), it wouldn't work out very well at all. God Bless and I plan to be on here this weekend as I will be off work.

tiffany I understand a 100% what your saying, this last weekend my wife forced me to go to her friends daughters baptism. It was a baby baptism thing that Catholics do and the whole thing was all about the priest, he even posed for pictures after, it was very disturbing. They were preaching that baptizing them as a baby is what saves them, that baptism is the most important thing in the world. Them twisting the scriptures really pissed me off. I didn't say anything because my wife didn't want to ruin her friendship, but I immediately thinking about going up there and knocking stuff over, kind of like what Jesus did when He flipped tables in the temple.

Wow, I agree with everything you said. Power corrupts is one of my favorite sayings. Thanks for the kind welcomes from all of you.

tiffany I understand a 100% what your saying, this last weekend my wife forced me to go to her friends daughters baptism. Too funny...I understand where you're coming from. Maybe a conversation starter with your wifes friends would/could be " Hey you know Jesus was baptized too, but he was 30" If I read what you wrote and understand properly, rather than pointing out the error of their ways, you point out similarities to start dialogue, then share truth. Just a thought
