Monday: Hurricane and flooding
Heavenly Father,
We know that You are in control of the storms and weather that come. Proverbs says that You gather the wind in Your fists and in Job that You tell the snow and rain to fall. We pray today for those in the path of the current hurricane. May they be wise and safe. Help them to turn to You, the Creator of the wind and rain and sea. We also pray for those who will receive the remnants of the storm. Much wind, rain, flooding, and storms are in the forecast. We ask that You protect lives and change hearts. In Jesus name, Amen.

Tuesday:
Heavenly Father,
We thank You for sending Jesus to die on the cross and rise again for the forgiveness of sin. We thank You for the simple message that He did it all. Today we pray for those that are trapped by a false gospel. We know that there is many false gospels out there. We ask that You open their eyes - get their attention. We know that Your Word says many will gather teachers that teach only what they want to hear. May their desires change and may they not be satisfied with anything less than the Truth. In Jesus name, Amen.

Wednesday: Paul's prayer Eph 1:17-19
Heavenly Father,
We come to You today to pray for the church as the way Paul did in Ephesians...that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give us the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him, having the eyes of our hearts enlightened, that we may know what is the hope to which You have called us, what are the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of Your power toward us who believe. And may we stand firm in the truth of the Gospel of Jesus, in His name we pray, amen.

Thursday:
Heavenly Father,
We are thankful today for the many ways You work in our lives. We can become used to You providing for us. So we take a moment to be thankful today. We thank You for Your good gifts. May we find ways to use those gifts, whether physical or spiritual, in ways that honor You today. Help us to stay grounded in Your Word and Your truth today as we are surrounded by things that are not truth, in Jesus name, Amen.

Heavenly Father,
Today we come before You in worship, to praise You for who You are and all You have done. From the prayer of David, "Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is Yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all. In Your hand are power and might, and in Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. And now we thank You, our God, and praise Your glorious name." Monday
Heavenly Father,
We come to You today for rest. We know that Jesus said we can come to Him and He will give us rest. We are tired from the struggle of good and evil, of fighting for what is right and true, or swimming against the flow of the world. We ask today that You will strengthen us. May we rest in the knowledge that You are in control, that the finish line is in sight, that all will soon be set right. Help us to encourage other believers and to point unbelievers to Jesus. In His name we pray, amen.

Tuesday - if you would, please pray for my son Samuel today as we have to put our oldest cat to sleep and they are buddies
Heavenly Father,
We come today to lift up those who are dealing with health issues. We ask that You would bring healing to them, through miraculous means or through modern medicine. Guide the health care workers as the treat people. May they be wise, caring, and willing to listen and explain. Please give comfort and peace to those waiting test results or medication or surgery. May this time be a time of growth in their spiritual walk. In Jesus name, amen.

It is such a blessing that God has paired us up with animals of his creation who become family to us. I pray the cat will be waiting for Samuel when we are call up/home soon. |

Thanks, Nana. It's been a hard day for him, he's pretty sad, but had a good cry this afternoon which I think helped. (He's 14 and has dealt with death before, just not someone he was so close to.)

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for creating people with all different likes and abilities. Today we thank You specifically for those that go into the medical field. We are very thankful for their skills and knowledge. We ask that You would guide them and protect them as they go about their day. May they lean on You, the Great Physician, especially when things get tough or overwhelming. In Jesus name, amen.

Heavenly Father,
We come today to pray for children. We know that the enemy loves to influence the children. Help us to protect the children we know against the lies of the enemy. May they also be willing to listen to the truth. Help the truth to sink in and take hold so that the lies have no place. And may they come to salvation in Jesus if they do not yet believe. In His name, Amen.

Heavenly Father,
We thank You for Your goodness. And we thank You for Your provision - that whosoever would believe on Jesus would be saved. The simple, yet profound, truth that He died in our place and rose again on the third day and nothing else needs to be done but to simply believe. It is finished and a free gift. May the truth go out from pulpits and video streams worldwide. We ask that You would open the eyes of many who are in churches that do not teach this truth. May they see what is missing, and may they no longer follow a false gospel. Thank You for the faithful pastors who are preaching the truth. We ask that You encourage them and help them to stay strong and true. In Jesus name, amen.

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for another day to worship and serve You; may we do so with joy. We come today to pray for our leaders. We thank You for the ones who know and follow You. Please give them the wisdom they need to govern and lead well. We ask that You would make it clear to those who don't follow You that they need a savior. May they not only hear the Gospel but realize their need for it. And even so, we ask that You would help them to lead and govern with honesty and integrity. In Jesus name, amen.

Tuesday: (Saw a big ad on youtube for Pride, so that led to today's prayer) Heavenly Father, We are thankful that You have given us Your Word, and we are thankful for the truth contained there. Sometimes that truth is hard even for believers and most of time it goes against the current world view. Today we pray for those who are participating in, experimenting with, or trapped in the homosexual lifestyle. We ask that You would provide a clear rescue for those who want out and a path straight to You. And for loving friends who will help them. We ask that You would bring the Gospel and conviction to those who need it so that they too will have freedom. We also pray for strength and perseverance for those that struggle with same sex attraction but are not practicing it. May they see the way out so they don't fall to that temptation. May they turn to You. In Jesus name, amen.
If you would, lift up my niece who struggles with her identity. I also don't think she is a believer. My mother-in-law has taken her to church and talked to her. |

Heavenly Father,
We love the reminders in Your Word of who You are and the love You have towards Your children. May we always find You to be enough. We are thankful that Your love is steadfast and never ending. Thank You for the new mercies every day. We love Your faithfulness and that we can return to You over and over. May we truly know You as our portion and hope. In Jesus name, amen.
