Friday: integrity
Heavenly Father, Thank You for another day. We are grateful for it, and for one day closer to Your Son's return. Help us today to walk with integrity. May we be people who want to work toward our lives being a display of the excellencies of Christ. May others know that we are different, and may we be able to answer them with the hope we have. Help us to be honest, trustworthy, loving, hardworking, humble servants of Yours. In Jesus name, amen.

I've probably shared this before, how much I love Rich Mullins' music and heart for God. I was listening to this song the other day and he had some thoughts that really resonated with me.
Father in Heaven, let this be my prayer today.

Monday: Memorial Day
Heavenly Father, Here in the United States we are taking today to remember those who have lost their lives defending our country and our freedoms. Some are still mourning the loss of their friend or family member. We ask that You would comfort them. And so too those outside the US who have lost loved ones in combat. Our country is far from perfect, but we are thankful for it and for the freedoms that we have. We are more thankful though for our citizenship in Heaven, for our freedom in Christ, and for the love of a good Father. Draw us close today as we wait for the return of Your Son. It's in His name we pray, Amen.

Tuesday: relationship
Heavenly Father, We come to You today because You are our loving and faithful Father. We ask that You would draw us close. Remind us who we belong to and that You are walking with us. And as Your children we know that You will provide what we need and will not turn us away. Today we need strength from You to continue our work here until You call us Home. We ask for love for those around us - a love that gives us the patience and understanding we need when interacting with others. We ask for patience as we wait for prayers to be answered, or physical needs to be meet, or just comfort and joy for our souls. May we know Your deep and abiding peace. In Jesus name, amen.

Wednesday: Glory to God
Heavenly Father, We praise You today as the one who is able to keep us from stumbling and to present us blameless before You with great joy. We are thankful that the work was done on the cross and that we are sealed with Your Spirit. And to our God be all glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. May Your will be done in our lives today and may all glory be given to You. In Jesus name, Amen.

Thursday:
Heavenly Father, Your word tells us that there will be days like this. We long for the day when there will no longer be any hate or anger. When people from all tribes and tongues live together governed by the perfect just Judge. For now, we pray for people to think before they act or speak, for respect for our fellow man. May we be able to show love. There are so many who need Jesus. In His name, amen.

Friday: law enforcement officers
Heavenly Father, We come today to lift up our law enforcement officers to You. So many will be judged on the actions of a few. We know there are many out there who serve You as they serve their communities. And many love their jobs, and they love people, and they love what is right and just. Protect them today from evil, and guide them as they work to do good. We also pray that You will convict those who are corrupt or unjust in anyway. May they see that what they are doing is wrong. And may Your Gospel go out through all of this so that You may be glorified. In Jesus name, Amen.

Father in Heaven,
Our country is burning. I pray that Your Son comes for us quickly, and in the meantime, please bring the last stragglers onto the Ark. While there is still time, let Your peace that surpasses all understanding fill the hearts of those bent on violence.
Amen.

Monday:
Heavenly Father, We come to You today with sad and heavy hearts for our nation. Help us to remember that we fight a spiritual war and not a physical one. Dress us for battle in Your armor. The enemy is working so hard to divide us in many ways. Help us to love our neighbor, to show Your love, to share Your truth, to bring Your peace through Jesus. Encourage our hearts as we wait for Him. Help us to sound the alarm that He is coming soon. Thank You for the promise of making all things new. In Jesus name, Amen.

Tuesday: leaders
Heavenly Father, We lift up our local and state leaders to You today. We are thankful for those who follow You and seek to honor You with the position they have been given. We ask that You would bless them with wisdom, peace, and clear communication as they seek to do what is best for their people during this time. We also pray that those who do not know You would come face to face with that truth and the truth that they need forgiveness and salvation. And even though they are not serving You, we ask that You would help them to do what is right and just for the people under them. May they know how to respond for the various crisis that are going on. And lastly we lift up our national leaders. May there be unity and justice. Please work through them. And change the hearts of those who are not yours. In Jesus name, Amen.

Wednesday
Heavenly Father, We have had a couple of different praises posted recently, and we praise You for the way You work in our lives and the lives of others. We are thankful for Your care. Thank You for doctors, nurses, and medical professionals and the skills and knowledge they possess. And we thank You that through the circumstances we are seeing today people are seeing their need for You. We pray for those who are seeking answers. We know that those who seek You will find You; You are near to those who will call on You. May we see many added to the Body of Christ. It's in His name we pray, Amen.

Thursday: Col 1:9-13
Heavenly Father, Some days we lack the words for prayer, but we know that Your Word is truth and has much that can be used when we don't know what to say. So today we pray from the letter to the Colossians - Asking that believers may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing You, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. May we be strengthened with all power, according to Your glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to You who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. You have delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of Your beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. In His name we pray, Amen.

Friday - the lost
Heavenly Father, We come today to ask You to wake up the lost. They have no idea what is coming. May the circumstances right now show them that all is not well, that it's not a new normal they need to get used to. May they seek answers, and by seeking the truth may they find Jesus. Help us who believe to be able to share the truth. May our hearts be courageous in the way of the Lord. In Jesus name, Amen.
