This is going to be a thread to daily worship our God, to remember who He is and what He has done.
I pray that it will be a place of encouragement as many are dealing with so much right now.
Please feel free to add Scripture that you find reassuring, encouraging, a reminder of who God is, reminders of His love for us, verses that comfort, etc.

Sometimes God seems far away, but Psalm 146:18 reminds us that "The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth."
And this would be my prayer for you today "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." (Rom 15:13)
And remember that our hope is not like the hope of this world, but is a sure thing grounded in Him and His word.

It's good to remind ourselves about the character of our God. He is so big, and powerful, and good. Isaiah 40:28
Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; His understanding is unsearchable. Solid truth that we can set our lives on. He can hold us up when we are exhausted. He keeps things going because it is not too much for Him. He can say to us, “I understand” and “Trust Me” because He knows all things.

Been reading a Psalm a day Natalie and today was Psa 43 - what sticks out for me is that though I feel at times like God has left me, I know that He never could or would. It is when those feelings percolate, I need to remember that even my feelings can lead me in the direction away from truth. His Word is so beautiful
1 Vindicate me, O God, and defend my cause; against an ungodly people, from the deceitful and unjust man deliver me! 2 For you are the God in whom I take refuge; why have you rejected me? Why do I go about mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? 3 Send out your light and your truth let them lead me let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling! 4 Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy, and I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God. 5 Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.

I've been reading one a day, too. I've come to enjoy the Psalms more than I had previously.
Psalm 94:18-19 When I thought, “My foot slips,” your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.
It reminded me of the verse that we can cast all our cares on Him. Sometimes the cares of our heart are many. And I looked up "consolations," and it's the idea that God provides comfort to a person who has suffered (loss, disappointment, a time of distress). In some translations they just use the word comfort.

Weekend Scripture:
I love this passage. There is so much depth and richness here. I hope you have time to take and dwell on each phrase this weekend.
Colossians 1:9-14 And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

A psalm I've always loved, with prophetic undertones, too. I love the majesty of God described here.
Psalm 50:
And Psalm 40!

This song greatly encouraged me today. Most specifically "when He returns or calls me home"

mike, we sing that at church. It's one of my favorites. I had picked this verse out over the weekend, but it kind of goes with that song. Psalm 62:5-8 5 For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. 6 He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. 7 On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. 8 Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. This is one of my favorite passages in Proverbs. I love the imagery. I love that it shows God's holiness, His power, Him as Creator, and that He has a Son.
Proverbs 30:4
Who has ascended to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son's name? Surely you know!
Psalm 2 also shows that God has a Son. Here is the last stanza:
Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, for His wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

A song from my childhood that's been on my mind a lot lately... come to find out, it has some really emphatic lines about the rapture!
A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord, A wonderful Savior to me; He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock, Where rivers of pleasure I see.
He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock That shadows a dry, thirsty land; He hideth my life in the depths of His love, And covers me there with His hand, And covers me there with His hand.
A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord, He taketh my burden away; He holdeth me up and I shall not be moved, He giveth me strength as my day.
With numberless blessings each moment He crowns, And, filled with His fulness divine, I sing in my rapture, oh, glory to God, For such a Redeemer as mine!
When clothed in His brightness, transported I rise To meet Him in clouds of the sky, His perfect salvation, His wonderful love, I’ll shout with the millions on high.

I am currently reading through Hebrews. What a rich book! This is a passage quoted in Hebrews 1:10-12 from Psalm 102:25-27. God says this about the Son:
You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of Your hands; they will perish, but You remain; they will wear out like a garment, like a robe You will roll them up, like a garment they will be changed. But You are the same, and Your years will have no end.

Oh how He loves us...
Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:14-16

Psalm 121:1-4 I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
Such good truth here: The LORD is our help, He is creator, He will keep us, He never tires or sleeps. I also think that because He keeps Israel then we can trust that He also keeps believers. His promises never fail.

I have run across this verse at least three times in the past two day, so maybe someone needs it.
Psalm 34:18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
