I should be able to listen tonight or tomorrow. We are going through Revelation in my Sunday school class. It's interesting to hear different views.

This series has been very interesting to me. It's given me much to think about (I may have already mentioned that. ) I may have some more thoughts as I think more on it. I'm curious who he thinks the 24 are. I have my own thoughts, and I know we have a good sized thread just on that topic. I didn't really understand his comment about Mary being of the Judaic priesthood. Judah didn't have priests, right? I know I have probably heard why Jesus is High Priest but from the tribe of Judah, but I'm not recalling it right now. Maybe a topic for another thread? Or maybe we already have one? I think the idea that John is shown a view of the past is interesting. But I am having trouble overcoming what I have been taught that based on Rev 4:1 and 1:19 John is being shown what happens next. So, going back in time isn't happening next. I've always pictured that he gets a view of what happens in heaven after the church age. I see where a view of the past is possible based on the description, but I'm just trying to fit it all together. I've seen it as Jesus going to get the Church, delivers us to the place prepared for us (New Jerusalem), and then He goes to the Father to open the scroll and begin to take possession of what was rightfully His. I'm going to have to chew on this for awhile. Also going to have to think on the timing of 6:12-14 and Matt 24:29-31. The only thing I found that I disagreed with is that the group in Rev 7:13-14 is the 144,000. If you back up to verse 9, it gives more description of the group in white robes. "After this, I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number..." but the 144,000 had just been numbered.

I know I have probably heard why Jesus is High Priest but from the tribe of Judah, but I'm not recalling it right now. Maybe a topic for another thread? Or maybe we already have one? He may have made a mistake on that. I didn't catch it but I believe he has said before that Mary's family is from the tribe of Levi. I'm going to have to chew on this for awhile. I believe he is coming at it from our past which would be John's future. Although I know he views prophecy as being multi-layered and cyclical based on:
Ecclesiastes 1:9-11 What has been is what will be,
and what has been done is what will be done,
and there is nothing new under the sun.
10 Is there a thing of which it is said,
“See, this is new”?
It has been already
in the ages before us.
11 There is no remembrance of former things, nor will there be any remembrance
of later things yet to be
among those who come after.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
Isaiah 46:8-10 8 “Remember this and stand firm,
recall it to mind, you transgressors,
9 remember the former things of old;
for I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like me,
10 declaring the end from the beginning
and from ancient times things not yet done,
saying, ‘My counsel shall stand,
and I will accomplish all my purpose,’
He also uses the fact that Hebrew is right to left which seems backwards to us and that God does everything backwards of the world: We are: Rich when we are poor Strong when we are weak Exalted when humbled Receive when we give Also going to have to think on the timing of 6:12-14 and Matt 24:29-31. The only thing I found that I disagreed with is that the group in Rev 7:13-14 is the 144,000. If you back up to verse 9, it gives more description of the group in white robes. He talks so fast that I sometimes miss things because I am taking notes.

Thanks for the clarification on things. I figure you've got more context than I do and probably have heard him explain things.
Here's how I am understanding his explanation of the throne room scene: He's saying that no one was found worthy until Christ was crucified and raised from the dead. That's when He was then able to step forward and take the scroll. So, I am assuming that the taking of the scroll happened when Christ ascended to heaven (because it couldn't have taken place in the 40 days between Resurrection and Ascension otherwise He'd have to be physically two places at once). That would be when He conquered and returned to the Father. So, that would also be in John's past at the time of the vision. Then at some point between then and now He started opening the scroll.

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but, I'm deducing from this last video that the seven Spirits of God, when they speak, are saying it's time to build the Temple?

You're welcome I took it as they were declaring details about the Temple such as location, who & time... maybe even judgments.

Thank you mike for pointing me to. What I find very interesting is his take in regards to the difference in the description of the 2 beasts in Rev 12 and 13. And it is good to hear again the overwhelming proof, that this sign was in no way by chance, but has a very important meaning. Absolutely encouraging!

What is the beast with 2 horns like a lamb & speaks like a dragon?
What is the beast with 7 heads,10 horns & 10 crowns?
What is the dragon with 7 heads,10 horns & 7 crowns?
How does Nebuchadnezzar's dream relate to John's revelation?
