I'm re-watching Jaco Prinsloo's "God's Road Map to the End" Video 14 in order to take notes for my thread by that name.
He he has an interesting speculation that when the "dead in Christ rise first" there will be a gap before "those alive will be caught up." He cites Jesus' resurrection along with the other "Saints that had fallen asleep:"
Math 27:51-53
"Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many."
And that in the morning of Jesus' resurrection He warned Mary not to touch Him because He hadn't ascended, but later allowed the disciples to do so, indicating that he had ascended by then.
John 20:16-20
"Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him,[fn] “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher). Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ ” Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord,[fn] and that He had spoken these things to her. Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled,[fn] for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord."
(this verse doesn't explicitly say they touched Jesus, but continuing on in the passage, the disciples tell Thomas, who doubts. 8 days later the Lord appears to them again and Jesus tells Thomas to touch him. So.... assume the first disciples also touched Him? Or ascension took a full week?)
Then Jaco goes on to make the case that such a gap occurring with the resurrection and rapture occurring on the FoT would explain the parable of the 5 Wise and 5 Foolish virgins. Those who think they are Christians will realize they didn't receive immortal bodies and know what has happened (because they will literally see the dead rise with immortal bodies) but it will be too late "to buy more oil." The "shout" heard at "midnight" could refer to the transition of mortal bodies to immortal bodies before the bridegroom arrives.
just thought this this was incredibly interesting.

I started it last night and unfortunately fell asleep right at that point. I am on the fence with his view here and Christ returning at the mid point of the Trib. I suppose it's possible to have the 70th week pause for a thousand years then continue again. Haven't reread anything to prove it out or disprove. I also am not sure about the resurrection "pause"...if the dead in Christ are resurrected and walking around, wouldn't they bear witness to the truth helping dispell the powerful dilusion? Also, I am not in agreement with those who "think" they are Christians but realize they aren't. We are either washed in the blood or we aren't. However this is where I fell asleep so I'll have to pick up and see if he elaborate on this

However this is where I fell asleep so I'll have to pick up and see if he elaborate on this I take your points. I agree with your last position, essentially refuting the partial rapture theory. However, I do think there are a lot of people who "play" Christian. They are not truly saved. Your resurrection "pause" point: I don't know. It could happen. People saw those dead who arose with Christ and over 500 saw Christ himself. How many saw His miracles, heal sick and demon possessed, and raise people from the dead, yet they didn't believe in the end, not as a nation. So, this could still happen and the delusion will be stronger because people don't want a savior and king over them. They want to be king of their own lives and will willingly believe a delusion that allows them to be so, even if it's a deception from hell itself. Second point (sorry I'm working backwards for some reason), what I can't seem to work out or get away from as far as the 70 weeks are concerned, is Dan 9:24: “Seventy weeks are determined For your people and for your holy city, To finish the transgression, To make an end of sins, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting righteousness, To seal up vision and prophecy, And to anoint the Most Holy." Durimg the Millenium, will there still be sin? Yes, mortals will be repopulating the earth. Satan will be loosed again and lead a rebellion against Jesus who is literally king on earth. So how can the end of the 70 weeks "make an end of sin" if sin is not yet ended in the Millenium? How can vision and prophecy be sealed up in the 70 weeks, if there is still a prophecy about Gog and Magog to occur at the end of the Millenium? So, this is one of the things I'm hoping to discuss here. I can't work it out with the traditional 70 weeks view. 1st point, I have a hard time reconciling the two accounts of earth cracking open and Israel fleeing if they occur at two different instances too. This is the other thing I want to discuss. In Rev 12 you have the dragon spewing a flood after the woman who is fleeing and the earth opens up to swallow the flood. In Zech you have the Lord returning to the Mt of Olives, splitting it in two into a great valley and telling the people to flee. Why do the remnant flee Jerusalem twice if it's two separate events? Why weren't they already in the wilderness if Jesus returns at the end of the Trib?

I'm watching the rest now...I also checked his live feed of Jupiter with no collision. I left a comment asking about his theory since no collision occurred. Odd that mine was the only comment.

According to my timeline, Jupiter does not fully depart over the line until 4:44 central time today.
Also, the womb may not be exactly along the lines.
Also, the collision does not need to happen exactly at the time of the birth - it would have to be later.
But, on top of all that. I jus think we would know if something was about to hit jupiter.

I think I have narcolepsy...dozed off again lol, lol, lol I think I will watch it again and take notes, if I can stay awake. I'm not sold on the asteroid theory. Having read about creation view where the earth was "delivered" to it's (approximate) current location, it would completely make sense the new earth comes to us via the same method. If there is a planet out there with planets around it and out sun "wrestled" the planets away once, it could do it again. This type of catastrophic events would make more sense (to me) in Jaco's timeline, rather than Jupiter colliding with something and asteroids causing changes here. In fact in my readings an asteroid doesn't have the mass to change the rotation of the Earth to shorten days, but another planet does! Perhaps @stephan and his engineering knowledge would be able to shine a little light here too. But he'd have to watch the 2 he video too to understand what I'm saying. Ramble...I think I'm rambling

mike , @silentknight , I agree. I think his scriptural evidence for the collision (namely just gen 3:15) is pretty weak. I'd think if something like that is supposed to happen, God might've spelled it out a little more for us. But, it still could happen. There are no lines up there. Even during a real birth, the baby is not born just because you can see the top of the head and maybe an ear. I don't think it would absolutely have to happen "sept 9" if it's going to happen at all. Just have to keep watching.

It's the debris from said collision that causes the asteroids hitting the earth. Im working on writing a synopsis of the video so it can be read and considered faster.

That would be greatly appreciated, MissusMack08! Due to the increasing amount of information on all endtimes related issues it is virtually impossible to stay up to date if one's preferred communication channel are YT videos. It's easy for the sender of the message, but somehow wastes (IMHO) the time of the receivers of the information. At least I prefer written information. A summary on the key points of the messsage would be very very helpful. (BTW I consider it as a waste of time, watching Jupiter for a possible collision with something....) If something the like is to happen, we would get the info anyway. Just my 1 1/2 cents on that. And mike, I guess you are quite right with your opinion regarding an asteroid changing the rotation of earth. I would also lean more on the influence of the Nemesis system.

@stephan MissusMack08 has a detailed summary in the "Gods Roadmap to the end" thread. From the creationism.org article on the Earth/Mars wars: " As to asteroid catastrophism, asteroids typically are .0000000002 of the mass of the Earth; about one twentieth of a billionth of the mass of the Earth. Such masses can create surface craters of various sizes. But a single asteroid collision with the Earth cannot create a spin axis shift, an orbital shift, a geomagnetic field dynamo (or generator), a fragmentation (icy or rocky), or a paleomagnetic polarity reversal, much less sudden crustal tears and up thrusts, a hemispheric sized flash flood and sudden sedimentary strata." Just to further comment on this...I dont think the scripture means cutting short as to shortening the days from 24 hrs to 16 hrs. The Greek work in Mark 13:20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.Strongs - 2856. koloboó - to curtail - I cut short, shorten, abbreviate But rather shorten the time, as in from 7 years to 3.5. Not saying the Trib will be shortened in half, but could shortening the days support his theory of the Lord returning Mid-trib?? Havent thought that out much but figured I'd bring it up here for discussion.

OK, got it, thanks! Great job, MissusMack08! Will check it. This is a very interesting question and I must admit, I have no answer at all.... I think the answer depends somehow on the answer to the question what days is the scripture speaking of? The days of the trib, after the trib started? The days of the first half or of the second 3.5 years? Or maybe even the days before the real trib starts? Not sure about this....

My guess is that it is more likely that the 7 years ARE the shortened version--that He "would have been planning" a much greater and longer destruction.

Good theory Jim...Not sure if you watched Jaco's 2 hr summary of the timeline, but he has the Lord returning just after the mid-point Abomination, then the 1000 yrs, then the remaining 3.5 yrs which would be when Satan is released. The "pause" in the 70th week could be the shortening

I think it means the hours in the days are shortened, but the amount of days will remain the same according to the day counts (sundown to sundown, even though it's only 16 hours). So still 7 years worth of "days," however long the actual days are. With this kind of change, people are going to be messed up with their wake/sleep cycles. I could see them getting confused and miscounting especially if something else obscures the sun and light for multiple days. I think this is where the texts of Jesus saying, "if they say he is in the wilderness, do not go out..." etc and possibly the "no man knows the day or the hour" type verses may come into play. Especially, if the AC tries to "change laws and times." I bet there's going to be a LOT of confusion about the days.

watchmanjim, should we just merge this thread into my "God's Roadmap to,the End" thread, since we're discussing aspects of it here anyway? Lol. @stephan, the notes from the video I posted in the other thread are not complete. I'll work more on it today.
