Hello and welcome! I wasn't on here much yesterday and spent much of it in prayer and then a wonderful thing happened! My youngest Angelina, who was getting ready to go spend the night at a friend's yesterday, she came in the room while I was praying and we started talking. Long story short... we prayed together and she gave her heart to Jesus and IS NOW DEFINITELY a Child of the King! Praise Your Name Yeshua! ... Edit to say: Thank you whatif! I embedded a video! God bless Angelina! Praise the Lord! That is a wonderful story, tiffanybw! I will be praying for your husband, as well.
And good job embedding the video--looks great!
Thank you whatif!

Sorry about this and not Irma related. But I am praising God right now! I just had a long conversation with Liam. He is 17, but was around 10 I think when he gave his heart to Jesus for the first time, formally went to the alter at church. Well, today, he has confirmed that vow between him and The Lord! I was so nervous at first... because... teenagers... you know??? LOL We had a very good conversation though and The Holy Spirit gave me the words to say. I told Liam of many things, much more than I did with Ang as she is only 11. Mainly things about my life, his childhood and how I didn't always follow Jesus as Liam was growing up and I was living out of God's Will and committed many sins. Liam knows, as even though he was little then, he remembers how I used to be. And he said he has seen the changes in me. I apologized to him for not having been a better mother to him and to all of them, as I didn't truly give my heart to Jesus until 2010. It seems so hard to talk about such things. But once we started talking, everything came so naturally. I even told him some about the demonic attacks I experienced back in 2015 and how it was because I was out of God's Will... trying to have things both His Way and my way and how The Holy Spirit basically told me I had a choice to make. And I chose Him. I asked Liam and did not choose for him, that since now he is older and able to understand so much more and did he want to pray and confirm the decision he made years ago to follow Jesus. And he said yes, and we prayed. And I am just so, so happy right now! Sorry for the off topic, and no more non-Irma related stuff; but posting it here because I was talking about it earlier and how I have been praying today and to prepare to talk with Liam. Praise Your Name Jesus!!!!!

my husband is a meteorologist and explained why Irma is sucking the water out of bays:
"it is mainly due to the center of low pressure raising the sea level under the center of the storm, which in turn sucks water toward it. The shelf along the west coast of Florida is rather shallow so any drop in water more than a few feet will take it way out and away from the shore. Plus, winds have been strong off-shore. Once the center of the storm passes, and the winds turn around, there will most likely be serious flooding. It's kind of like a tsunami in slow motion"

Yikes. I hope someone is telling THEM that! I think that is why areas of Tampa and other places had a mandatory evacuation. I just hope those walking out there pay attention to what is going on.

The name Lee has more significance too: Lee means shelter, especially a shelter from the storm. How ironic and how interesting an opportunity for special meaning. . . .
Also, Lee is the surname of Robert E. Lee, whose statue has been the center of so much controversy in so many towns and cities across the US recently. . .

Yeah, that is weird. If there was a mandatory evacuation, why were all those people still there and in town? If it were emergency services people, you think they would be intelligent enough to NOT go out there like that. I mean... I'm no genius but I do know that if I were to ever see the OCEAN DISAPPEAR (still can't get over it), that I would not go out exploring it. In fact, I would do just the opposite, and get away and to the highest point I could possibly reach. Because with all that ocean just gone, that is a tell tale sign of a tsunami. At least until a few days ago it was. I don't know now though lol! What goes away... must come back??? Or be dumped somewhere else??? Like... maybe there will be new ocean front property in Kansas??? I'm half joking and half not, because where is all that water??? It has really captured my attention, especially because... just that I guess I could never have actually fathomed and pictured in my head... God parting the Red Sea. I saw the Exodus movie and thought to myself... WOW! But I don't think it was like that movie, with walls of water on both sides and people walking through on a small path. I think that God completely took that ocean away, like we see happening now. He told His People, "Go!" And in the midst of pursuit, an army intent on making war and capturing them; bet that army didn't even blink when they saw there was no ocean. (Same way people saw yesterday and somehow look at it and think... yeah... news is right... this is completely normal.) And it wasn't like they saw 2 walls of water and small path between. Because if they had they probably wouldn't have gone in. I'm thinking they saw nothing but dry land (mushy and with puddles). They saw what we saw yesterday. No ocean as far as the eye can see. And they went after Israel. I'm guessing that then... just that probably it wasn't like in the Exodus movie and where the walls of water crashed in on them. It was more gradual than that. But they were so far out in the ocean, just that no matter how fast they tried to get back to "shore", it wasn't fast enough and there was no way they could have gotten back in time before the water rising and over taking them. There could have been a tsunami that took them out. I don't know. All I do know is... to all the non-believer's and scoffers out there... LOOK!!! And I'm not saying it as in, "Ha, ha, you are wrong and I am right and I told you so and that the Bible should be taken literally." I am saying it like... LOOK! See what God can do! Look at what is happening all around you! And give your heart to Him, know Him, and be Saved! Please! Because I care about you. And I want for you to have an eternal future in Heaven and without sin and with all that is good. And all that is good comes from Jesus. If you don't choose Him soon, you are going to have to endure Tribulation. Think these hurricanes are bad? You ain't seen nothing yet! Because Satan himself is going to be cast to earth. And yes, God is going to judge the earth and all that are on it; by simply removing His Hand.
(Still though, remember it is never too late to turn to Him. May be too late to avoid Tribulation and Satan being on earth with you; but not too late to turn to Him; unless one has taken the Mark of the Beast... the number 666... that which as of now we don't know exactly what it is yet.)
Don't even have to go there though! Turn to Him now! Everything non-believer's think about God is wrong. He is doing all this to try and SAVE. NOT to try and cause hurt and suffering. Satan is the one who enjoys causing the hurt and suffering. Even after Jesus comes for His Church, He STILL wants to give time and allow for you to be saved! This is why He will allow everyone to go through Tribulation; not because He enjoys watching you hurt; but to give you yet another chance to choose Him.
And for those who say that God enjoys causing harm to people, suffering, and like He views the world and the people in it like His toy or some sort of meaningless entertainment for Him... NO NO NO! He LOVES us more than we can fathom. And what He is getting ready to do... He is getting ready to remove His Hand of Protection from the earth. Once He removes it... it is not Him, but Satan... that is going to go to town deceiving everyone, then destroying everything, causing people to suffer and hurt, causing them misery. It is Satan that will be a ravenous wolf dressed in sheep's clothing... leading lambs (people) to slaughter. ETERNAL slaughter. That is what is getting ready to happen and if one does not choose Jesus very soon they will have to go through it.
It's not God doing the harming, but Satan. All God is going to do, remove His Protection once He takes His Church (those who believe and follow Jesus) Home. Please choose Jesus and stop being stubborn! You can't save yourself. Nothing you do or don't do can save you. Only Jesus can save you. Please turn to Him. Sincerely give your heart to Him, confess that you are a sinner and can't do a thing to save yourself but that you believe that He Can and that He Did... That He died on the Cross for you and His Perfect Blood covered all of your imperfect blood and your sin; and washed you white as snow. Three days later He rose again perfect in Body, Mind, Soul, and Spirit. And if you believe it with your entire heart... that He Did... then you will also rise again just as He Did; and with a perfect Body, Mind, Soul, and Spirit. Maybe your flesh will still be alive and so you will never experience physical death and instead will be transformed in the twinkling of an eye. Or maybe your flesh will be dead, and so you will rise from the grave just as Jesus did! Sincerely believe that, pray it, and you are Saved! You are His Forever! And there is so much more than just this world. God is showing us as I write this, His Power, His Glory, and just how AWESOME He Is!
We are living in Biblical Times, AMAZING TIMES!!! And I appreciate so much the explanation Natalie and I do believe your husband about the weather phenomenon. But I think that whatever is happening, that it is even more than just that and on a way greater scale. For one thing, this has happened also in Brazil and there were no hurricanes there. And the other thing is... I mean... I simply have never seen anything like this in my entire life! If anyone else has, please share as I want to hear. No ocean as far as the eye can see where there used to be ocean??? Never in a million years would I ever imagine actually seeing that. It is one of those things that people say... like when you are telling your kids who are wanting to do something really stupid or impossible "No". And then they keep on pestering and then you tell them... "When pigs fly!" It's the same thing, like... "When the ocean's disappear"! Well... ok... they are actually gone! A question I have that I can't find the answer to online, so maybe somebody here knows... Have the oceans come back yet? Is there water in the Bahamas again, water in Tampa again? Or is it still gone? I've looked but can't find anything about it. And I seriously want to know where all that water went! (Just thinking, if this is the water that Satan will cast forth from his mouth to try and wash the woman away?)

I'm pretty sure the water washed back in there after the storm went away. It is a meterologically understood phenomenon, just rarely seen to this extent before.

Thought it would be good to post this here. This ended up being the main focus of our first Bible Study together as a family last night. I think next, we are going to do the Gospel of John, chapter by chapter and verse by verse.
Anyways, reason I want to post this here, is as we were reading it last night (and my husband being a big "science and logic" kind of person and me, I'm more emotional, more inclined to take things on faith and I've never had the need to understand the "how's" and the "why's" of everything). Well, the Bible says that all night long, God pushed back the sea with the east wind (not like we imagine it to be... like... ZAP... and... sea gone!)
Here is the verse, Exodus 14:21 KJV
"And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided."
I thought as we read that, "Pretty cool!" And Eric is right (science) and I am right (faith). What is even cooler, I could see the light bulbs all flash on in my husband's head as he read it (he did the reading). I saw his eyes light up, and he stopped and he said... "Yeah! What your mom is saying is actually really true. The wind did it." LOL
Meh! I was going to post the entire Exodus 14 (we are using ESV version for Bible Study so kids can better understand). But anyone can look it up if they want to read the entire thing. It's awesome, reading it and then contrasting it with the pictures in the Bahamas, Florida, Brazil, and don't know if this "disappearing ocean thing" has happened anywhere else.
God Bless everyone and have a great day!

My hair stood up on end when I read that about the parting of the Red Sea, tiffanybw, because I was just noticing so many connections to the Exodus and Egypt taking place in this prophetic season. In fact, how many news headlines have we seen lately that speak about the evacuation of Florida as a massive "Exodus?" Now this morning I saw an article regarding a flying ant plague in Philadelphia that may be the result of an "Exodus" from the hurricane...
