Watchmanjim, are you and your family safe from the flooding? I've just seen some articles about the flooding devastation from the hurricane, and I'm hoping all is well for you!

I'm half joking and half not, because where is all that water??? It has really captured my attention, especially because... just that I guess I could never have actually fathomed and pictured in my head... God parting the Red Sea.
My hair stood up on end when I read that about the parting of the Red Sea, tiffanybw, because I was just noticing so many connections to the Exodus and Egypt taking place in this prophetic season. In fact, how many news headlines have we seen lately that speak about the evacuation of Florida as a massive "Exodus?" Now this morning I saw an article regarding a flying ant plague in Philadelphia that may be the result of an "Exodus" from the hurricane...

WOW!!! My hair is standing on end too! Because yes, the word "Exodus" has been used an awful lot lately. And now, this insect plague? (Ick and I am NOT one who likes bugs or even wants to think about being swarmed by a horde of them.) In the article it says, not word for word, but basically... Nothing to see here folks! It's just ants that sprouted wings to mate. -Academy of Natural Sciences Me though: I don't think so!!! I mean, yeah, ants sprouted wings to mate, sure, and yes, they did. BUT... I've never heard of any other time, at least not recently, where some huge swarm of insects just decides to up and do their thing all at one time all in one place, all over people's cars, houses, and just look at the pictures because all over everything. And also swarming into everyone's hair, shoes, and shorts (per the article whatif posted). It's like God decided to... I don't even know... grab hold of two frying pans and bash them together over and over and over again right next to the ear of earth. And doing miraculous things like making ocean's disappear so people will look and see. Basically, to get people's attention. And yet people... well... most people anyways, they are just like the people were in Egypt long, long ago... with no eyes to see or ears to hear. Completely clueless. But only because they choose to be. And so... keep going God and we who do see and hear you are going to keep on praying!

(Ick and I am NOT one who likes bugs or even wants to think about being swarmed by a horde of them.) I can't stand bugs, either, tiffanybw! They truly terrify me! Even the thought of a sweet little innocent-looking ladybug landing on my arm gives me the shivers, though I do think they're cute and I do try to protect them in my garden when I see one in a vulnerable place. Spiders and dragonflies horrify me, as do any other creepy critters of the "bug" world. In fact, when my honey and I were dating in the days before we married, I made him give me a solemn promise that he would NEVER EVER try to scare me with bugs as a joke. He promised, and he has kept that promise all these 17 years of our marriage!

Anyone notice that the remnants of Irma are heading into Houston? Isn't supposed to bring much in the way of rain but the guy in the video keeps using words like, This is just weird!

Connie, I was just about to post that video, too, lol. From his own mouth: "That's just plain weird," "I mean, what are the odds of that happening?"

So crazy!
And yep... What are the odds?
Is it possible that Irma would go back out to the Gulf, restrengthen, and then come back and hit again?
I mean... I would say... impossible! Except that I don't believe in that word anymore. Shouldn't even be a word. lol Seriously though, anyone who knows about this kind of stuff... is it possible? Has anything similar ever happened before?

I think Irma is done. If not, she is too far inland to be pushed anywhere to reform. The radars I have seen show her center going up through the Tennessee, Kentucky, Southern IL area, but yes, clouds and even rain have gone out on every side of that.

Has anything similar ever happened before? If Irma stays a tropical depression and goes back into the gulf, I think it is possible. Maybe not probable... that's essentially what Harvey did I believe. I don't remember if he was downgraded to a tropical depression or tropical storm though when he re entered the gulf.

Barbiosheepgirl, y'all take your vitamin C...those temp and weather fluctuations bring on colds and other creeping crud!
As far as Irma remnants turning back, I have just learned to say, "Welp." I never would've guessed I get more good preaching from lay watchmen and women on YouTube than in a brick and mortar church, Nor, did I ever expect to have such a fellowship with the good folks on here than any in-person bible study or life-group.
Welp.
Bring it on and git r done! Come soon, Lord Jesus!

I never would've guessed I get more good preaching from lay watchmen and women on YouTube than in a brick and mortar church, Nor, did I ever expect to have such a fellowship with the good folks on here than any in-person bible study or life-group. Welp. Bring it on and git r done! Come soon, Lord Jesus! This is so true. Honestly, I have NEVER been to any other church, known any other group of people... who are just so on fire for Jesus, seriously pursuing Him in their lives, and because of above the people here are the kindest and most caring I have ever met, actually love each other when we say we do and it's not just lip service, actually care about each other (already said that I guess but seriously can't get over it because not even when I was small was my church as genuine nor filled with The Holy Spirit as this place is), and yeah... like I just said never been anyplace so filled with The Holy Spirit. I have come to the conclusion that this is WHY I actually used to CARE LESS about going to brick and mortar church, sometimes having to not only force my kids out the door but MYSELF too! Reason is... because even though there are many people physically around me... spiritually, they are absent (even the church leaders) . This place online is more REAL than any place I've ever been. Here... as soon as I wake up in the morning and pray, like I can't wait to sign on here. When I have to sign off... just that I have to literally FORCE myself away from this place. I can come here if I feel like it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week... always open. And I get more genuine fellowship with Brothers and Sisters than I ever have at ANY brick and mortar church in my entire life! Can't say enough about this place! For the brick and mortar church, a very sad thing. Because an online community of people who don't even physically know each other... yet we care about each other and I feel the Holy Spirit here more than I EVER have in my entire life at any other place (aside from me just praying by myself at home), just very sad where the brick and mortar church is. Most of them (I won't say all but certainly all I have been to), I compare to pharisees. Because it is all about keeping up appearances, fake feelings, fake pretending to care for each other, social cliques, and then people who walk around with a "holier than thou" attitude like no one in the entire place knows Jesus or anything about His Word except for them. Prime example of this is how most of the "big names" and the mainstream churches downright CONDEMN us, call us false prophets, tell their congregations to not even associate with us because we are not "real Christians" and are astrologers and bound for hell. Even speaking of Revelation 12 or that we could possibly actually BE THE GENERATION in which Jesus will return is NOT ALLOWED. If we are not the generation... whatever... and it is because God's Way is the best way. But I think WE ARE and I am enjoying watching and have never been so close to Jesus in my entire life! NO, NO, NO they say. Must not say that because that is date setting. His return is "imminent" (and in their minds I seriously think they have redefined the word "imminent" to mean "never"). This place, and the online pastors I watch on youtube (my favorite at the moment is Barry Scarbrough but there are many incredible people on youtube teaching who are better equipped to than ANY pastor I have EVER seen mainstream, better than any of the local pastors, better than any of the "big names"). I think, because they actually care about and want to follow God's Word, trust Jesus and only Jesus, not looking for bigger congregations and tickling the ears of whoever walks in, not worried about following some list of rules almost as long as the Bible itself that man made up pertaining to whatever particular "denomination" it is or whatever particular "doctrine of man" is followed, not worried about impressing potential members with their elite social club in which you too can be a member if you are willing to give the most in "offering" to the church (if not though, forget it and you are deemed a person the church will tolerate because you fill a seat but you certainly not going to be invited when all the "men" go golfing and all the "ladies" get together to talk about how they heard so and so played bingo last week and is now headed for Hell. Or like with the "big names" where one has to pay money to even hear what they have to say, or shell out money to buy their latest "teaching" on book or dvd (and most times that teaching... sorry but... a pile of crap). As you all know, I literally could go on forever. Thanks everyone who makes this place what it is. Admins, mods, and members. There isn't any feeling here of the moderators being demigods themselves like I've gotten at other Christian online Forums. No joke, this place IS my church. This, youtube (who would've ever thought lol), and now the nightly Bible study with my family. I love you all! Edit: To make this thread on topic, lol, I guess pertaining to Irma... she is almost as dead as the mainstream church. I hope she stays dead, but that the mainstream church will increase, show some sort of sign of life, before it is too late for all of them.
