Latest tracking is looking like the East Coast again after smacking the islands-- It will be interesting to see where this makes landfall. No doubt there's prophetic significance to this one-- with it shaking the world, the largest on record.
Goodness--

I'll be praying for your safety, Connie! What is the situation with getting prepared in your area should it come your way? With the devastation caused by Harvey, do you have access to food and supplies and a way of escape? We have plenty of supplies and bottled water here and there's no gas shortage in Houston. Roads out will be a problem if it comes to that because so many places are still underwater. The real problem would be a place to escape *to* if it comes to that. Houston is almost impossible to evacuate. That is frightening, Connie...

Just wanted to add some information that watchmanjim posted in the Shoutbox so we have it here in the Irma thread:
"Hitting the Virgin Island on the 6th. V.I. Means 6 in Roman numerals. There's no such thing as a category 6, but if there was, Irma would probably be one. VI-6-6th"

For your morning joe...
I looked thru this thread and did not see anyone commenting on the meaning of the name of Irma. If it has been mentioned already, sorry to repeat. This is what I found:
Gender: F Meaning of Irma: "universal, complete" Origin of Irma: German, diminutive of several names, meaning "universal, complete"
Latin Meaning:
The name Irma is a Latin baby name. In Latin the meaning of the name Irma is: noble.
American Meaning:
The name Irma is an American baby name. In American the meaning of the name Irma is: noble.
German Meaning:
The name Irma is a German baby name. In German the meaning of the name Irma is: Universal, from the Old German 'irmin'. War goddess.
They name the names well-ahead of time: What are “hurricane name lists?” Lists of hurricane names have been developed for many of the major ocean basins around the world. Today, there are six lists of hurricane names in use for Atlantic Ocean storms. These lists rotate, one each year. That means the list of this year’s hurricane names will come up again six years from now. There’s an exception to this practice, however. The names of hurricanes that are particularly damaging are retired for legal and historical reasons. For example, the use of the name Katrina was retired in 2005 following the devastating impact that Hurricane Katrina had on New Orleans.
Here is the meaning of the word Jose: Raised; who pardons. The feminine meaning is: May Jehovah give increase.
I am a full believer that NOTHING in this world is a coincidence.

Then I thought, wait, we're in America, who am I to try and force a gender pronoun on the beast.

Good points, SK! I also saw the beast reference. Rather flagrant there, and remember, the rev 13 beast did rise out of the sea.
So did the 4 Daniel 7 beasts for that matter.

I recognize that not everything has to mean something, but.... Is it odd that the beast irma is hitting the virgin (as in Virgin Island)? Any other time it wouldn't mean anything, but now, a few days before Jupiter leaves the womb and there is supposed to be a dragon / beast waiting to devour? And, have you seen the pictures of irma from the sky? Heavens? It isn't just something on the ground.

and, near St. Thomas...would that be the "doubting" Thomas from John 20:24
But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. 25. So the other disciples were saying to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”

She's literally shaking the ocean floor underneath her, if I understand it correctly. Crazy!

About Irma, last night I saw several youtube videos stating that this hurricane is so strong, so big, the winds so much, that it is registering as earthquakes on equipment that is used to detect them. Crazy. Also, what Jim said about the Virgin Islands (and thanks whatif for posting it as I wasn't paying attention to the shout box).

Just that I'm here on the forum right now, but also have FOX news on and getting ready to leave for work. They were interviewing a man about Irma and preparation... and I wasn't really paying attention to all he said but I looked up when he said this... word per word he said... "I am getting my house in order." He said some other stuff too, but that got my attention. We all need to be getting our houses in order! Spiritually, that is. Many of us are doing just that. Some are not.

Harvey assaulted Corpus Christi (Body of Christ) and Houston (heart, mind, spirit), and now the beast Irma is going after the Virgin Islands! Amazing! Are we possibly seeing, then, earthly events playing out the Dragon as it waits to devour the Male Child and pursue the Woman of Revelation 12?
