stellaluxor , Hebrews 1:1-2 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son.2 Tim 3:17 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction and for training in righteousness that the man of God many be competent, equipped for every good work.We have all we need in the Bible. I believe God is still speaking to people, but I also believe that a lot of it is for personal growth and edification. We don't have prophets anymore. And why come here and threaten your warning and then not engage? That's not what this place is about. And please take care how you are speaking to other brothers and sisters in Christ. You've been warned once already. At this late hour, some of us have run out of patience for such behavior. Just because God has spoken via his prophets and that all scripture us profitable does not mean that God does not speak to individuals still today. I am sorry that you state emphatically - "We don't have prophets anymore." This sounds like saying that if someone does believe we have prophets still, that they are wrong. I have not yet issued the message. It is not a threat. It is a revelation. As I have explained to others, I do not have the knowledge to defend the Word that I receive. I am not a teacher, or scholar, or theologian. I can only deliver that which I have been given. I will try to take care in how I speak - though I don't understand what you are referring to, other than saying that someone was incorrect. Is that considered harsh? Are you not telling me I am incorrect or telling someone that they were incorrect? Cause it sure seems that since my initial post, most responses have been telling me that I am wrong. I accept this analysis and expected it from this group. But, why then is it inappropriate for me to tell others that they are wrong? You don't have to answer that - it is rhetorical and for you to weigh in your own heart. I already know the answer. Anyway, I will try to use kinder ways. But, when I deliver the message, it will be verbatim as received.

venge , When you say, Where do you place the Day of the Lord? Do you mean, at what point in history? Do you mean, what year does it start? Do you mean, after which events in The Revelation? I will state this The Day of the Lord will be heralded by signs in the sun and moon and stars and earth and no one will doubt its arrival. The entirety of creation will be very aware that the great day has arrived. This sign will be followed shortly by the opening of the Day of the Lord. It is upon this opening that the sheep and goats will be separated. Prior to this sign and this day, turmoil, like never in the history of the world, will be unleashed upon the earth. This turmoil is not the wrath of God, but is the result of Satan giving his power and authority to the governments of the earth for a short time. And the Christian Church will still be here during this turmoil. They will serve the people. They will stand for righteousness. Many will be killed. Many will overcome. When you say, Do you hold to a certain theory or specific scripture? I do not understand this question. I hold to no theory that can be written. I hold to all scripture. Each of us lives within out own level of deception and truth. Most of us allow dung to cloud our thinking. Old "truths" we once thought we knew. Now we cannot gain true nourishment because we refuse to throw out the dung. So we eat off the refuse of others and of past beliefs. I have learned to hold only that which the Lord reveals through his Word and through His Spirit. I am happy to express these things, but you will find me uninformed and boring when it comes to debating modern Christian belief systems - they are all towers of infidelity and I have very little time for them. Let's start with the Day of the Lord. When I asked where do you place it in God's word, I was asking specifically in the book of Revelation. At which point in Revelation do you place the start of the Day of the Lord? For those that don't see it as you do, how do you explain to them through scripture when it begins?

Many believe that the scripture is the only way to hear the Word of God. They believe as if God stopped speaking to his people at a certain point in history. This is not true. God is even speaking to those people, but they have not learned to listen. God still speaks and not just from His bible. I will present the message in its entirety very soon. If you wish to ban me before doing so, so be it. This is my warning so you have a chance to do so. Once I post the message, I will not be logging on again unless asked to deliver another message. ‘For I testify to every one hearing the words of the prophecy of this scroll, if any one may add unto these, God shall add to him the plagues that have been written in this scroll, and if any one may take away from the words of the scroll of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the scroll of the life, and out of the holy city, and the things that have been written in this scroll;’ he saith — who is testifying these things — ‘Yes, I come quickly!’ Amen! Yes, be coming, Lord Jesus! Rev. 22:18-20
I believe the reason for this verse being in the last paragraph of the last chapter of the last book of the whole of scripture is because Jesus Christ, who spoke this verse through His angel to John, His witness, was telling us this is all we need, don't add to it and don't take away from it. If you have a word from Jesus Christ then there is something in scripture to back you up. Let us know what it is. Every word of the message is confirmed in scripture. Nothing is being added. Perhaps you are correct about the way you interpret Rev. 22:18-20, but, perhaps you are not.

mike, I find your approach very abrasive and inattentive. You are not actually engaging with me as you wish I would do with you. You are only trying to one-up me and correct me and tell me how I am wrong. I have explained that I am not educated, or able to teach. I cannot convince you all of things that you have chosen to believe or not. That is not my role. I am simply to speak my message, which I will do soon. Apparently I broke a rule by calling someone wrong. I will not do that anymore. Because, according to this site, no one can know if someone is right or wrong. We can all only guess based on our interpretation of scripture. The person that is better at defending their position gets to be right. The one who cannot is wrong. However, in the message that I will provide, it will call out wrong thoughts and concepts that are currently taught on this site. So I am posting this to give you time to prevent me from doing so, should that be your wish. Please stop attacking me for having a different opinion than you do. Or for not wanting to debate things with all of you. I am not a debater. You are being mean and sarcastic and you don't seem to be able to see that in yourself.

stellaluxor - let me take a step back to add a little color to my points. There have been many false prophets and teachers over many many years - all of these claim to have heard from the Lord only later to be seen as false. However the damage they have caused to many was devastating. From the false prophet Mohammed, to Sun Yung Moon, to many preachers of our day Osteen, Hinn, Meyer, Jakes, Bakker, Copeland and the list unfortunately goes on. These all had or have the word of the Lord, some gave very specific time stamped prophecies which never came true. They are false prophets. Our discussions about current events and how close we are to the return of the King are what we discuss. As Venge basically states some place the RotD/Rapture in one spot and some in others is where some of differ in understanding. The people that are here and those who have joined in more recent days all eagerly await the second coming of our Lord and Savior. No one has perfect doctrine. We all are prone to mistake. What I would ask from you is to include grace & love in your message with the main ingredient being the Bible. Please

All, I must say, I appreciate the approach that venge is taking. The rest of you took aggressive stands against me for being too aggressive. Ironic, isn't it? The body will need to grow much thicker skin in the times coming upon us. We all want everyone to reach out in pure soft love. But as soon as someone is not perfectly soft in their tone - we hit them with a ton of bricks - "Be Softer!" A little tribulation reveals the unpreparedness of the people. We must prepare for much worse than me saying someone's position was incorrect. Thanks venge for your patience. I will also try to be better in my tone. You are a good model.

We aren't asking you to debate. We just want you to present your understanding of things with Scripture. And then we talk about it. If there are wrong views on this site, please show us using Scripture.

We aren't asking you to debate. We just want you to present your understanding of things with Scripture. And then we talk about it. If there are wrong views on this site, please show us using Scripture. Well, Natalie, mike was asking me to debate. I've watched this site for awhile. I know how it works. Someone has an understanding and they present their case from scripture. Then other people tell them how they are right or wrong and present their point from scripture. This goes back and forth with some agreement and some disagreement. This is the very definition of debate. The word debate has gotten a bad rap. But what I am trying to tell you is that I am not prepared to defend my message. God did not say, "Tell them this and here is all the evidence you need because they will argue with you." He simply gave me a message. So I will not be able to defend everything. But also, - let's not kid ourselves. It these things were obvious, the truth would have risen to the surface by now. We don't debate the things we clearly see, we debate the things that are not as clear. I am not going to add myself to the minority of people on this site that teach a post-trib rapture. It wouldn't do any good. People believe what they want and changing minds is not going to be accomplished in the mental arena. I am simply going to be obedient to the word I received and provide you with the message. You will not find any scripture that it violates. You might find that it violates many opinions. And I'm sure that even though it is a Word from God, many will tell the rest of you on how it is wrong because of this verse or that - but that, as mike so adeptly pointed out, will just be their opinion. Now, if the Lord provides more, I will happily reveal it.

Ok, I see what you mean.
So why are you spending so much time defending yourself in this thread? Why didn't you just post your message and go?

I do see the point here to some degree I have said to a few folks that being prepared (prayerfully, spiritually, mentally) to go through thilipsis cannot hurt a believer one iota. If I am to be raptured before that then what have I lost?! However if I am wrong about the view and believers do go through thilipsis but not orge then I am not expecting this and will be off guard. Perhaps so much that when Matt 24:15 happens I wouldnt be able to recognize it because I am not looking for that but to be taken.
So you see - finding a common ground can help have a better discussion although youve made it clear you do not wish to discussion this topic rather are just delivering a message.

Ok, I see what you mean. So why are you spending so much time defending yourself in this thread? Why didn't you just post your message and go? Wow! This is a tough crowd. I opened with some questions to provoke thought. My plan was that once I had your attention, I would post the message. Most respondents didn't really go through the thought process. I could tell that based on their responses. Instead, I was treated to some pretty aggressive attacks telling me I was wrong for telling people their positions were wrong. I thought that was odd and inconsistent so I posed some questions back and answered some issues not related to the message but about the validity of any Word from God. Then I was treated to sarcasm and outright derision. So, in my human nature, I defended a little bit. But mainly I was defending the idea that I should have to defend a Word from the Lord. And I was defending the idea that God still speaks to His prophets. I was not defending myself as you put it. I don't know you and you don't know me. There is nothing for me to defend myself against. In any event, as the conversation developed, I realized that this group did not want, nor believe in, a word from God, but rather they wanted a position thesis and defense from scripture. So then I had to explain that I did not have one - all I had was a message from God. I was then asked why I didn't just post the "message and go." A very loving sentiment. People always want the messenger to be perfect, while they, in their imperfections, can say anything they want. I am following the request of my Father. Rhetorical question: Did you submit any of your responses to the Lord before typing them? If you cut me off before you receive the message. Then let it be what it is. There is the history and the explanation to your question.

So you see - finding a common ground can help have a better discussion although youve made it clear you do not wish to discussion this topic rather are just delivering a message. Thanks Mike. And I can see that you are trying to come at this from a different direction. I am just trying to be obedient to a task the Lord has asked of me. This site is not geared for that. They want to discuss and persuade and inform and explore. That is all fine and good and there is plenty of room for that. That is not what I have come to be part of. It is not out of anger or lack of love. It is simply that that is not what I am called to do.

Could I also offer you some practical context. Perhaps a brief example of this site history may help you understand our (me & Natalie) protective nature.
About 3 years ago, maybe a little further back someone came to the moderators (Nat may have been at the time, I was not) with a word from the Lord. It was proposed as "could I post this Word..." to which it was agreed but also if the Word did not come to pass the poster agreed to have his post deleted and IIRC not post again.
Well needless to say the 10.0 earthquake did not happen as this brother thought.
Sometimes even well meaning, and fully convinced people think they gear something for someone else, yet it is not quite the Lord speaking.

Sometimes even well meaning, and fully convinced people think they gear something for someone else, yet it is not quite the Lord speaking. I understand. It is a problem because so many people hear incorrectly. The problem that results, however, is that Christians start to believe no words come from the Lord. The message I am giving has no dates. It is an exhortation. Perhaps this group needs a way of filtering these things. The method used with me was not gentle. Having said that - The body in general has this issue. And some have confirmed that here. The idea that God no longer speaks to His prophets is simply sad. Of course He does. But when many come and prophecy falsely, it is hard for some to believe the word when they hear it. I understand the problem. Thanks for the context. Protection should come cloaked in a warmer coat.
