Thursday: the sick
Heavenly Father, We come to you today on behalf of those who are dealing with illnesses. We know that You are the Great Physician. You also created our bodies and know how each and every single part and cell works. We ask for physical healing, but we also ask that whatever the illness is that it will cause the person to draw near to You. As they wait for healing, may they turn to You and trust in You. May they seek You for spiritual healing. And because we are at a time when visitors are being limited or in many places not allowed, we ask that You will comfort families who may not be able to be with their sick loved ones. We ask that You would give strength and wisdom to those who are caring for loved ones at home, whatever the illness. Thank You for those who You have brought healing to, and may those who do not know You come to know You so that they will have complete healing in the life to come. In Jesus name, Amen

Friday:
Heavenly Father, We thank You today for the work of the Spirit in our lives. We know that through His work we renew our minds, resist temptation, can love others properly, understand Your Word, and so much more. We pray today that You will help us to keep our mind from worthless things, to fix our mind on the things above, to live holy lives set apart for You. May we be in this world but not of it, ever looking for the city whose architect and builder is God. Renew our strength today for the fight is real and it is difficult at times. May we ever lean on You. In Jesus name, Amen.

Monday: leaders
Heavenly Father, We lift up our local and state leaders to You today. We are thankful for those who follow You and seek to honor You with the position they have been given. We ask that You would bless them with wisdom, peace, and clear communication as they seek to do what is best for their people. We also pray that those who do not know You would come face to face with that truth and the truth that they need forgiveness and salvation. And even though they are not serving You, we ask that You would help them to do what is right and just for the people under them. May they know how to respond for the various crisis that are going on. And lastly we lift up our national leaders. May there be unity and justice. Please work through them. And change the hearts of those who are not yours. In Jesus name, Amen.

Lord, There are so many things in the world today that cause concern for your people. The abominable practices of those who deny You, the willful acceptance of sin from those who "take Your Name in vain", deception, idolatry and everything that is against You and Your will. Heavenly Father we ask Your forgiveness for allowing participating and promoting wickedness. There is no place for it in the kingdom. Help us to hate sin in people but be gracious towards the sinner, not forgetting the height in which many of us have fallen. By Your Spirit Lord enable and give us the grace and strength to withstand the evil day and share the love of Christ. Walking each day in the calling by which you have called us, to share the good news of the Son and His BLOOD shed for us removing our sins. Let our hearts be pure in Your sight and our speech be of Your great Name!
Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

Monday: Joshua 21:45 Not one word of all the good promises that the LORD had made to the house of Israel had failed; all came to pass.
Heavenly Father, We praise You today because of Your faithfulness. We read over and over in Your Word about Your faithfulness. We know that You are faithful and trustworthy and will keep Your promises. We ask that You would encourage our hearts today with the fact that we can continue on in the faith because of who You are. And we can trust that the One who began a good work in us will see it through to the end. It's in Jesus name we pray, amen.

Tuesday: persecuted church
Heavenly Father, We come to You today on behalf of Christians worldwide who are being persecuted. We pray that they will stand firm in their faith and place all their trust in You because You are trustworthy. We also pray for those doing the persecuting. May they see the Gospel at work and hear the truth so that their hearts can also be changed. We have read how Paul was changed and know that Jesus changes people. We pray for comfort for those who are separated from their families because of persecution. May they lean on You and the promises in Your Word. For this is not our home. In Jesus name, Amen.

Friday: pastors (pray for the situation in Israel)
Heavenly Father, We thank You this morning for the pastors and teachers that You have given us. We ask today that You will give them wisdom as they study Your word. May they be able to clearly teach it to others. Help them to stay rooted in the Gospel and Your truth. We ask that You give them love and compassion for those they are ministering to. If they are married, we ask that You help them to remain faithful and to strengthen their marriages. Guide them as they serve You. In Jesus name, Amen.

Monday: believers
Heavenly Father, Thank You for creating the family of believers. We get encouragement from one another, knowledge, love, strength, blessings, the list goes on. We ask today that You would give us the strength we need to finish well. Encourage those who either don't have a home church to attend or have one that is still only online. May they still reach out to other believers. May they truly show that the Church is a body of people and not a building. In Jesus name, Amen.

Tuesday: the lost
Heavenly Father, Thank You for the wonderful gift of Your Son. All of us have someone we love in our life who does not know Him. We ask that You help us to be diligent in praying for them and witnessing to them. We know that the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation, that there is power in Your truth. May they be cut to the heart as those in Acts were. May they see the signs of the time that we are in and ask their believing family, "What must we do?" We also pray for those we do not have contact with. May they hear the truth, see the evidence for You, see You at work, something to get their attention, and turn to You. In Jesus name, Amen.

Thursday: thoughts from Hebrews 3
Heavenly Father, Thank You for the promise of rest. We know that as believers we currently have a rest in Christ. He did the work and the work is finished. Help us to hold fast to that confession as we see the nearness of His return. Help us to exhort one another to remain faithful and not give in to the deceitfulness of sin. For we also know that there is complete rest coming. Rest from enemies, rest in the Kingdom, and a rest from our struggle with our own sinful nature. Thank You for the work You are doing in us now. Guide us and give us the strength to finish well. We pray in Jesus name, amen.

Friday: Psalm 19
Heavenly Father, Today we go to Your Word to hold on to the truth there. As in Psalm 19 we acknowledge Your Law is perfect and revives the soul, Your testimony is trustworthy and makes us wise, Your precepts are right and brings us joy, Your commandments are radiant and gives us light, the fear of the LORD is pure, Your judgments are true. We ask that You cleanse us from our hidden faults and keep us from willful sins that they may not rule over us. May the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be pleasing in Your sight. You are our rock and our Redeemer. And it's in Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

Wednesday: financial concerns
Heavenly Father, We are so thankful that we can come to You with our concerns and worries, our needs, our tears. Thank You for caring for us. There are many right now who are struggling with so many things. One of the biggest being financial concerns. For believers, we ask that You will make a way when it seems that there is no way. Please give them comfort and peace, knowledge that You are caring for them. May these worries also turn many hearts to You. We know that trying times are coming, and we desire many to rely on Christ and not the things of this world. In Jesus name, Amen.

Wednesday: hurting people
Heavenly Father, We are thankful that Your Word tells us that You are a God who is near. You are a God who sees and who sympathizes with our weaknesses. You know how to care for the brokenhearted and comfort those who are hurting. We ask today that You will remind those who are hurting of these truths. May they lean on You and allow You to ease the hurt, whether it is from loss and grief, depression, anxiety, loneliness, or a host of other things. May You bring to our minds those who may be hurting so that we can show them the love of Christ. It's in His name we pray, Amen.
