Friday:
Heavenly Father, We are so grateful for Your care, Your love, and walking with us. Life can get so tough. We ask today that You would equip us for these tough times. Help us stay dressed in Your armor so that we can fight the battles with Your help. Help us to stay grounded in Your word so that we are feeding ourselves with Your truth. Help us to come to You continually in prayer. Encourage us with the hope that we have in Christ. It's in His name we pray because of who He is and what He has done, Amen.

Monday: integrity
Heavenly Father, Thank You for another day. We are grateful for it. May we see beauty in the things You have created and be thankful for the things You have given us. Help us today to walk with integrity. May we be people who want to work toward our lives being a display of the excellencies of Christ. May others know that we are different, and may we be able to answer them with the hope we have. Help us to be honest, trustworthy, loving, hardworking, humble servants of Yours. In Jesus name, amen.

Tuesday,
Heavenly Father, We thank You for providing the way for forgiveness, salvation, and a relationship with our Creator. Today we pray for our family and friends who do not have any of that. We ask that You would open their eyes to the truth. Please give us the words to say to point them to You. May our lives show a change and a light that others would desire to have. May we be able to answer them about the hope that we have. In Jesus name, amen.

Wednesday:
Heavenly Father, We come to you today on behalf of those who are dealing with illnesses. We know that You are the Great Physician. You also created our bodies and know how each and every single part and cell works. We ask for physical healing, but we also ask that whatever the illness is that it will cause the person to draw near to You. As they wait for healing, may they turn to You and trust in You. May they seek You for spiritual healing. And because we are at a time when visitors are being limited or in many places not allowed, we ask that You will comfort families who may not be able to be with their sick loved ones. We ask that You would give strength and wisdom to those who are caring for loved ones at home, whatever the illness. Thank You for those who You have brought healing to, and may those who do not know You come to know You so that they will have complete healing in the life to come. In Jesus name, Amen.

Thursday:
Heavenly Father, We thank You today for the work of the Spirit in our lives. We know that through His work we renew our minds, resist temptation, can love others properly, understand Your Word, and so much more. We pray today that You will help us to keep our mind from worthless things, to fix our mind on the things above, to live holy lives set apart for You. May we be in this world but not of it, ever looking for the city whose architect and builder is God. Renew our strength today for the fight is real and it is difficult at times. May we ever lean on You. In Jesus name, Amen.

Friday: leaders
Heavenly Father, We lift up our local and state leaders to You today. We are thankful for those who follow You and seek to honor You with the position they have been given. We ask that You would bless them with wisdom, peace, and clear communication as they seek to do what is best for their people. We also pray that those who do not know You would come face to face with that truth and the truth that they need forgiveness and salvation. And even though they are not serving You, we ask that You would help them to do what is right and just for the people under them. May they know how to respond for the various crisis that are going on. And lastly we lift up our national leaders. May there be unity and justice. Please work through them. And change the hearts of those who are not yours. In Jesus name, Amen.

Wednesday:
Heavenly Father, As we approach Christmas Day, we thank You for the many gifts that You have given us. We thank You for food, shelter, friends, family, health, and safety. We thank You for the many little things throughout our day. We thank You most of all for sending Your Son. We thank You for the giving of His life for the forgiveness of our sins. And we thank You for eternal life that is to come. It's in Jesus's name we pray, Amen.

Monday: persecuted church
Heavenly Father, We come to You today on behalf of Christians worldwide who are being persecuted. We pray that they will stand firm in their faith and place all their trust in You because You are trustworthy. We also pray for those doing the persecuting. May they see the Gospel at work and hear the truth so that their hearts can also be changed. We have read how Paul was changed and know that Jesus changes people. We pray for comfort for those who are separated from their families because of persecution. May they lean on You and the promises in Your Word. For this is not our home. In Jesus name, Amen.

Tuesday: teachers
Heavenly Father, We thank You today for teachers. Thank You for those who love our kids unselfishly, struggle over their difficulties, guide them through uncertainty and teach them about the wonders of this world You created. We ask today that You would give teachers peace during this time. May they be able to work through the complexities of teaching in a school year that is so uncertain. Help them to be able to be prepared, to reach and encourage students who need it most, to be a source of strength for parents who are struggling. May they not give up because kids need them. In Jesus name, Amen.

Wednesday: love
Heavenly Father, We know that Your Word says that "God is love", and that people will know we are yours by our love - a love that comes from You. We ask today that You will fill us with Your love for others. May it come out in the way we talk and interact, in the way we live and the things we do for others. May we be motivated by Your love and not by some selfish thought. May it be a testimony to who we follow. In Jesus name, Amen.

Thursday: New Year's
Heavenly Father, We thank You for another year. In many ways it has been a very trying year. But, we know that Your hand has been working through all of it. We thank You for the joy and blessings that we have seen through the year. May we also look back and see how we have grown and see how You have worked in our lives. Help us as we look forward to 2021. May we hold our plans loosely as we never know what tomorrow will bring. Draw us close as we continue waiting for the return of Your Son. It's in His name we pray, amen.

Monday: pastors
Heavenly Father, We thank You this morning for the pastors and teachers that You have given us. We ask today that You will give them wisdom as they study Your word. May they be able to clearly teach it to others. Help them to stay rooted in the Gospel and Your truth. We ask that You give them love and compassion for those they are ministering to. If they are married, we ask that You help them to remain faithful and to strengthen their marriages. Guide them as they serve You. In Jesus name, Amen.

Tuesday: believers
Heavenly Father, Thank You for creating the family of believers. We get encouragement from one another, knowledge, love, strength, blessings, the list goes on. We ask today that You would give us the strength we need to finish well. Encourage those who either don't have a home church to attend or have one that is still only online. May they still reach out to other believers. May they truly show that the Church is a body of people and not a building. In Jesus name, Amen.

Wednesday: the lost
Heavenly Father, Thank You for the wonderful gift of Your Son. All of us have someone we love in our life who does not know Him. We ask that You help us to be diligent in praying for them and witnessing to them. We know that the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation, that there is power in Your truth. May they be cut to the heart as those in Acts were. May they see the signs of the time that we are in and ask their believing family, "What must we do?" We also pray for those we do not have contact with. May they hear the truth, see the evidence for You, see You at work, something to get their attention, and turn to You. In Jesus name, Amen.
