Sorry.. kinda lost track of this thread. That Mark.. I know everyone is fixated on a literal mark or chip but nothing in the book can be taken as literal. That was a false prophecy that got you least expecting a return now and not until that temple is built as well. So I think peeps got duped on that one too. The Mark could go either on the hand or forehead means different methods but same goal to worship this man as god. It is the whole culture of Christianity that essentially is the Mark. Christianity though well intended is an accusing religion that relies on extortion and though there are good churches, we must admit it's a mess. What will be destroyed in that lake is our hateful spiteful ways we treat each other. We use shunning as our punishment of choice and crucify the different. It was all in the plan. This is how the church is purified. They went full bore into this. Now you're going to have to stick around and clean up your little boo boo. Sorry Jerry, I just can't buy it. In Christ we, the body (the church) are blameless. The church doesn't need to go through the tribulation to be cleaned up. Christ payed our debt in full...all cancelled. We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Spotless...blameless. Seated in heaven with Christ NOW (positionally). If the church still needs to be cleaned up for us to enter heaven, then Jesus died for nothing and our faith in Him is useless. Please read Romans 8:1 and then get back to me.

Ugh Paul was that Dragon that sidetracked Christianity in the first place. He was the false apostle Jesus warned about. He started by causing riots and divisions in the church. He's quoted by the worst of religious leaders to oppress and compel by force submission to the gospel of extortion. No you go look up what Jesus said to Peter with that sword. You don't know what spirit you are even talking from. So why should I consider Paul the final authority? Or you? Why do I even need to get back to you. You have no authority but to quote that guy? And do you really think the church is spotless and ready? Just how deceived are you?

There is no need whatsoever for you to be rude to other members.

jerryh -- You said, "but nothing in the book can be taken as literal." Just to get some clarity, what book are you referring to?

I didn't consider that rude given the spirit in which he attacked me. I know I'm offending peeps here and I am sensitive to what I'm saying. I am sorry that my take is so explosive but try to step back and look at the whole picture. You all read this as negative but it's not at all. I do think the salvation package of all done on the cross originated from Paul and he is the one you always have to quote to substantiate that belief. But may I offer an alternative view since it will also help unravel Rev as I understand it. Salvation was always in the future and all those parables about coming back and finding the faithful also prophetic. Judge not, warning about building on bad foundations, or actually doing what he said would all be pointless if the cross is all we need. The very definition of your faith and the only thing you absolutely have to do is accept something and believe that He's God. Correct? Now look at the gnostics that were crushed by the emerging orthodoxy who in a battle with Rome lost to them who became that Beast which is directly created from Paul's influence. What I think the gist of what those original gnostics believed was a much different view of salvation. They saw him more as a Shaman teaching them the way into a mystical relationship with the Divine. You believe that too but for them, it's a path that involves doing. They didn't view Jesus as god either. I can tell you from my own experiences that by following the gospels only and not buying in to salvation on a platter, my spiritual life is off the charts intimate with the Father. I am pretty confident, yes. I don't apologize for that. But if it's any consolation, I think I have a pretty good idea where it's headed. His love is so immense and it's coming really quick!

Just so we are all on the same page...here are our three forum rules:
1. No debating core doctrines of the Christian faith. If you are participating here you should be a committed Believer. Seekers and non-Christians are more than welcome also, but this is a forum that honors God's Word and therefore arguments against His Word aren't for this forum... questions are welcome though! For purposes of this forum, "core doctrines" are considered to be the historic tenets of Christianity: One self-existent God, the Trinity, the Incarnation, the virgin birth, the full deity of Christ, the substitutionary atonement, the literal and physical resurrection of Christ, salvation through faith alone in Christ alone, a literal and future bodily resurrection of the dead, and a historical-grammatical interpretation of Scripture. Premillennialism, a literal rapture of the Church to Heaven, and a literal/historical interpretation of Genesis 1-11 are also considered core doctrines.
2. No obscenity or racism of any kind.
3. Don't invalidate a fellow member's thoughts. It is ok to express a disagreement, but this shouldn't be done along the lines of "you're just wrong" or "if you believed the Bible than you would agree with me", etc.
You can clearly see that some of your beliefs and comments are breaking rule one.

I was not attacking you Jerry. I was defending the faith, which we are called to do. If you are prepared to throw out MOST of the New Testament, written by Paul, what choice do I have but to defend it? As I read your posts, you preach another gospel. Sorry if that hurts, but sometimes, the truth hurts. Galatians 1 1 This letter is from Paul, an apostle. I was not appointed by any group of people or any human authority, but by Jesus Christ himself and by God the Father, who raised Jesus from the dead.2 All the brothers and sisters here join me in sending this letter to the churches of Galatia.
3 May God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. 4 Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. 5 All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
There Is Only One Good News 6 I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ.[c] You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News 7 but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who deliberately twist the truth concerning Christ.
8 Let God’s curse fall on anyone, including us or even an angel from heaven, who preaches a different kind of Good News than the one we preached to you. 9 I say again what we have said before: If anyone preaches any other Good News than the one you welcomed, let that person be cursed.
10 Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.

I didn't come here to debate your beliefs. Just unseal the book. If you want to take issue with my beliefs that's totally up to you. I'm just filling in the blanks with your views on Rev but it seems unavoidable that it's more your problem than mine. Maybe Gods been shaking the tree in your churches and it was the ones obeying Him that left. What's left are the goats hanging to the tree. Either way, these questions may need to be looked at eventually. But if you really can't handle this without erupting like that at me then it's fine. You can delete my comments and call it ReSealed. You won't be able to keep it quiet much longer.

hi jerryh can you explain where this discovery of Paul being the Dragon is coming from? It seemed to me there were many people were mentioned rioting in the Gospel accounts themselves...ya, know, those riotous ones that Pilot handed Jesus over to, for one. Luke 23:23 And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.

The point with Paul isn't that he himself is or was evil. Just the same way that I don't consider Pence evil either. They both have/had the best of intentions. So I'm not saying Paul himself although he was his unwitting instrument just as Pence is. I associate Paul with the dragon after Israel is dispersed seen in the flood. It's no secret that much of Christian core beliefs may have been assimilations of other myths. If that's true, then the dragon or actual angel of light might have been Paul. The method does not sound like Jesus in the way he overtook the church. Just look at the spirit of the message. Paul had you putting on armor that Jesus had you taking off. He did in fact militarize the church which you proudly display today. Because you come from this culture, everything is a war. But I'm not your enemy.

It's nothing you haven't already heard. Take only the gospels. Read them like a road map. When you get to the part that says take up your cross and follow him, literally stop pretending to be someone else and come out of your closet. It means allow yourself to be crucified for who you are and no praised for who you aren't. It's simple really. The secret to the abundant life was always there. Love God first. Love your neighbor. But there was a third command that opened the door to abundant life. Crucify the ego. You see it everywhere in how we are to respond and be. We also know it no matter what church we go to that only when our Egos are contrite and meek do we feel the HS right? Those moments are only the tip of an ice berg. What Jesus was actually doing was preparing the Jews for the dispersal and teaching them a new way of looking at the temple. He was aligning their perspective with a more loving version of God so that they could actually love him for his character. This teaching, along with the Jewish prayers and holidays based on moons was equipping his people for that long journey. If they followed his teachings with the prayers and devotions, it led them into a very deep presence and would secretly sustain them hidden somewhere or scattered more likely. The good news is that what works for the Jews does for us as well. But here's the catch. It never was about sins and accusations. It was about Ego. The original sin is really the birth of ego. We were tossed out covering our shame. To go back in, we will yet have to become like children. The Kingdom isn't dropping out of the sky. It will erupt in us I believe and be passed on. In other words, the good news is Jesus is going to come back to save. The bad news is you must be born again. My version of the good news is the HS is coming like never before and if you've been building on a good foundation you may already be feeling the eruption within. He will take us into that mansion. As for the Jews? You're not going to like my answer but He has a very big heart for them and desperately wants to console her. The gospel isn't this mean thing demanding to be obeyed. To be honest, it's the end of religions as we know them. You will all know Him and I can tell you that it is.. I have been describing heaven or the temple in me on my FB page now for almost 2 years. I've written it like a diary and yes it will repulse you most likely. But no matter what you think of my beliefs, sanity, or ego, there's no denying His intimate place in my experiences. I do think I know what and where heaven is, and I can drink from living waters now without measure it seems. He is very powerful and I see a side of Him you may not see as fully. So in short, I'm a witness to my own version but I hope soon to not be the only one

No, Jerry, the good news is that God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, and whoever believers in Him shall not perish but have ever lasting life. That while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. And if we confess with our mouth that He is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved.

To me this all sounds like some new age religion to me. Mixing truth with lies. Have read about these strange things many years ago, but it seems it's gaining traction... Thank you Natalie for proclaiming the truth and the gospel so clearly!
