Hm, I don't think I agree with you Silent Knight. I have done some bone headed things and have been disciplined by God. His discipline does not feel good and for me I try not to make the same mistake again. I think it is very wise to not repeat mistakes and to not to be dogmatic about a date.

I see your point, cshaffer. Certainly there are some things we don't do again but many other things we simply learn how to do better. I suppose it would depend on if one was talking about sinning or one was talking about perfecting our walk. I was talking about perfecting our walk, in which case we must submit ourselves to the fire and not try to avoid the fire. If you haven't read the Hearing God thread this may seem a bit strange.

I see both points of @silentknight and cshaffer. As I said earlier, I would not be here to say "I told you so" and I don't see any one else doing that either. I think a person could read the "hearing God" thread and agree with it 100 % or disagree with it 100%. I think that's a totally separate issue.
I think this issue here has very little to nothing to do with hearing from God. The internet as well as YouTube is filled with countless examples ( and plenty of locked threads on this Forum) of people who all claimed to hear from God - a dream, a vision, some special private revelation, etc, etc.
A huge error is the assumption that just because one legitimately heard from God one time, that all his/her dreams/ stomach rumblings are from God or a prophetic message. They could be right one time and wrong 3 or 93 times. Scripture states explicitly that we are to weigh/ test everything and that in the last days there would be many false teachers. I believe that God speaks to people through dreams and visions - but that is not the primary way that He speaks, nor should we expect it to be.
His word is 100% true and reliable, and proven. Dreams - maybe 1 out of 30, - they are deceptive and affected by food, lack of sleep, sickness, emotions, hormones and Uncle Marty's Chili, or that left-over pizza. He gave us scripture- His Word, and the cannon is Closed. It may be that there will be some huge natural disaster or the start of Ezekiel 38/39 war, that will be a warning, but we can't be sure if there will be, and how many days, or what event. The fact is that God hasn't revealed it in scripture - and in 2000 years and tens of millions of Christians all over the earth, He hasn't revealed it to any of these. Nothing- anywhere in scripture or anywhere else from Historical or archaeological discoveries or early church writings that indicates God will tell some special person the date of the rapture in private/ special revelation. We have many clues and we have seen prophecy fulfilled and there is overwhelming agreement among many reputable Bible scholars that we are seeing Labor Pains, and all the pieces are in place. One of the greatest dangers of this - that we are seeing played out, is that it can be/ and often is a form of spiritual abuse when someone says "God told me, such-and-such". When someone questions that, or sees flaws/ doesn't match other scripture, etc. than that person is seen as 'questioning God' or denigrated - labeled a nay-sayer, and worse. We saw multiple examples on this forum when people had legitimate questions about the Sept 23 alignment and whether is was in fact the fulfillment of Rev 12. This thread and several other ones were all based on speculation, conjecture and eisegesis - reading something into scripture that is not there, and this was raised by multiple people, moderators and members multiple times.
- Conjecture/ Eisegesis - that one isolated verse from a prophetic book means that God cannot do anything without first revealing it to Prophets, and this necessarily means He must / will reveal the date of the rapture.
- Speculation/ Eisegesis - That we can/ should use one feast from the OT, Pentecost - to count a certain number of days, from some event in the future, to get the rapture. Nothing, anywhere in scripture implies that we should do this. Not 12 days, 40 days, 50 days, 99 days, or any number of days.
- Speculation/ Assumption/Taking verse out of context - Mary's word "the last day" regarding a well-known, set phrase for the Resurrection of the dead, to mean the last day of a Gregorian calendar.
- Random speculation/ assumption/ that since one verse says "Christ will come at a day when you think not", that it must be the 'most pagan/ unchristian day of the year". ? ? ? And then, the assumption that Dec 31 is that day -
- Sarcasm, arrogance and denigrating comments to those who raised questions and had concerns.
- Instead of being open to the possibility that there was a mistake or problem with hermeneutics - simply stating that he would start another count.
It's not my intention to blame or throw stones - only share what I see are the lessons. As Mike said, he and all others are welcome without condemnation or consequence and the understanding that we are all fellow-watchmen and women, who all have parts of the puzzle, and we learn from each other, and move forward, watching, waiting and working, til Christ takes us home.
Even So, Lord Jesus Come, Disciple4Life

Even when we are reading scripture, we still need to hear God in His word.
To separate hearing God from reading scripture is to separate quenching thirst from drinking water. Teddy and Dennis both used scripture to confirm their points. Neither had a dream or a vision. Their error was based on their reading of scripture. Even hermeneutically disciplined, well studied, genuine believing scholars disagree about much of scripture. Atheists read scripture regularily and use it to prove their points. If we could simply know the truth by reading the bible there would only be one denomination and we would all agree about everything. We can be just as corrupt in our understanding of scripture as we can in our having a dream or a vision. This thread exemplifies this. The Hearing God thread talks about all this. It is not about dreams, visions, and revelation any more than it is about hearing God in the scriptures. It talks about stomach issues as well. disciple4life , if you think what happened in this thread is a totally separate issue from what is taught in the Hearing God thread, I encourage you to read the Hearing God thread and give it a shot. If you have read some of it - or skimmed it, I encourage you to start over and read the whole thread. Certainly, there are other lessons that can be taught here, and disciple4life touched on some of them. I was trying to address one particular facet and that is that we all need to learn how to hear God (even while we read the bible) and that we should handle this situation the right way after something like this happens.

Thank you for the criticism silentknight. I definitely learned my lessons.
Even though I found many evidences pointing to 12/31. I was wrong.
But I was so excited and wanted to meet Jesus on the last day. Just thinking about it made my heart beat really fast. Probably I thought that was holy spirit poured out on me. That was one of my mistake.
I prayed to God and apologized for setting the wrong date. But he knows my true intention of my heart.
I am definitely not going to set another date because God will come whenever he wants. He could change the date if he wants to. He is the perfect God.
There are many interesting dates. But I think it is best to live everyday as if he is coming today.
Through this humbling experience, I will stick to no man knows day or hour.
So many evidence can point to a date or other dates but if that is not the God's will, he will not come.
He might just not come on the day that we pick just to prove that no man knows day or hour.

REDIRECTED 2018 COUNT FROM 2 GRT RES SIGN 1....pdf (723.9 KB) Mr.Watson just sent me this new revision of document! 1/21 is a very interesting date. I am not setting a date!!! I am just saying 153 is a very very very interesting number!!! Download and please have a look. But this is really encouraging to me. One of the things about the number 153 is when you cube all three digits, they add up to 153. But with three digits there is the Father, 1 (represents the God who is one), there is the Son 5 (represents Grace), and there is the Holy Spirit 3, John 21: 3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing. 4 But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. 5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No. 6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. 7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. 8 And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes. 9 As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread. 10 Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught. 11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken. 12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. 1/21/2018 THE DAY TWO COUNTS ARE COMPLETE: 120 & 153 9 representing the third person of the Trinity. Multiply each number by itself 3 times to get the cube and there you have it, 153 = 13 + 53 + 33 or, 153 = 1+ 125 + 27 The number is unique. If you add the highest and lowest number from these six 135 + 531 153 + 513 315 + 351 you will get 666 - an important number in the book of revelation. Since I see some interest in 1/21/17 was posted up above, here is a link to Renee Moses's latest video, which speculates that the big vote about Jerusalem against Israel triggered a 40 day grace window...
The implication is that failure for fruit to be found at the end is this timeframe would then bring about darkness/ the rapture/ and the really bad parts of the great tribulation.
For what its worth, she has this all ties back to Obama and his trip to the supposed birthplace of Christ, where he stood instead of bowed. I lean towards a pre-tribulation rapture, but wow are some of the date coincidences with Obama winning the Nobel Peace prize and other stuff interesting.

I think her dates pertaining to Obama are circumstantial as well as any dates pertaining to Bush and Clinton. We all have our unique angle in trying to understand scripture; however, the attacks upon the Presidents seems politically charged and thereby biased.

(Sent by Bjorn Jonasson from Sweden by email dated 01 Jul 2011) Hello my brother,
krnboitae, I was glad that you came back with grace and humility and were received back here with grace and love. We all are broken, imperfect people who make mistakes and we need each other. No one has all the answers, and we all can learn from others.
It seems clear now, by the fact that Dennis wants you to relay his theories and information, and the "revised 2018" count, that he has learned nothing.
Though asked repeatedly, no one presented an iota of scripture [because it doesn't exist] that tells us to use women's purification cycle, or Pentecost count, or any other number to add to an event. It's fine for people to have different opinions about hearing from God.
- This is not an issue of interpreting scripture differently - this is pure numerology combined with conjecture and eisegesis -- reading something into scripture that is not there. - Even the passage from Leviticus doesn't tell us, or anyone to use the Pentecost count or any other number and add this to an eclipse, or conjunction, or new moon, or earthquake, or any event to get the rapture -- It is simply NOT THERE.
I would strongly advise you to not relay information for him. It's not good for you, - not good for him - and not good for this community.
The worst part is that this is manipulation and it will be reported to the moderators.!!
He should be willing [and is welcome] to post his own theories, speculation and eisegesis on his own, and it will again, be subjected to testing, and scrutiny as to how it matches with scripture, logic and sound hermeneutics, as well as people's general opinions.
