In the back of my mind I also remember the 10 days that Abraham's servant was given, as an option, to linger with Laban( Genesis 24 ) before returning to his master. He refused and Rebecca chose to go to her master immediately.

One thought I'm having: if Rosh Hashana doesn't occur until the Feast of Atonement on the year Jubilee is proclaimed, that means a Jubilee year would NEVER have the 10 days of Awe, which is judgment on Israel. The year of Jubilee would end on Tishri 1 the following year, when Rosh Hashana would revert back to being at the same time as Yom Teruah (Feast of Trumpets). This makes sense because the year of Jubilee is the year of the Lord's Favor. Having judgment of Israel occur during a Jubilee just doesn't make sense (unless God is being ironic, but since this is serious, I doubt that). So, I would suggest that whenever the Tribulation does occur, none of those years can be a Jubilee year. Since it seems very likely that the Tribulation is going to start very soon, it seems likely the Jubilee year has recently occurred and may in fact be 5777 or will occur the first year of Christ's Messianic kingdom. But if we are looking at the Jubilee STARTING right now, I just don't know... That doesn't seem to make sense to me. Not unless the Trib also doesn't start. I don't want to argue or be combative - As I see it, we're all watchmen, looking for the return of the Messiah - Here's my take - but I'm aware that we all see through a glass dimly and I really like the different perspectives - you all challenge me to dig into scripture -- ;-) "If Rosh Hashana doesn't occur until the Feast of Atonement on the year Jubilee is proclaimed, that means a Jubilee year would NEVER have the 10 days of Awe, which is judgment on Israel. " If we could even prove that Rosh Hashanah was moved (Start of the Civil Year), this has no connection to Yom Teruah. Yom Teruah is Moadim- Appointed time. Even if the start of the civil year were moved, this doesn't affect God's Feasts of Yom Teruah and Day of Atonement.
Rosh Hashanah is Civil Holiday - It is the start of the civil year, but not connected to the 7 Biblical Feasts. Days of Awe are not Judgement on Israel. They are a time of reflection, and repentance. Not the same as Judgement. According to the article - which has a lot of in-depth historical documentation - the author is making the case that the Jubilee year is the 49th. and that the Jubilee year would correspond to one of the 7th year Sabbath years. ***If this is the case, then it negates/ nullifies all the theories about 1947 being a Jubilee year and 1967 and 1017. Nothing from scripture that shows us the rapture or second coming will be on a Jubilee year, - and furthermore, there is no way to know with any certainty which years were Jubilee years. There's lots of clues from scripture and parallels, and evidence from Hebrew culture - documented back hundreds of years as established Jewish tradition that shows the links between FoT and the rapture. Whether it is a jubilee year or not - doesn't seem too important- I agree it would be a very nice "bow" on the present, ;-) ***This year is interesting because we have 500th anniversary of Reformation, 100th anniversary of Balfour Declaration, 70th anniversary of the UN Declaration that made Israel a nation and the 50th Anniversary of the Six Day War and Jerusalem being reclaimed.

I know you are concerned about arguing with me, but it sounds like we are actually saying the same thing! I was making the case (I thought anyway) that it is just Rosh Hashana that moves to a different date, and that makes no difference to the Feasts. However, that would mean on whatever year the Jubilee IS (not necessarily this year), that year would not have those ten days in it because they were included in the previous year. The year before a Jubilee will have two sets of 10 days between Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur. That's all I was saying and then I added a thought about maybe this is makes sense because the year of Jubilee is about the year of the Lord's favor. If God honors some of the Hebrew traditions regarding the time between Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur, it would make sense that those "Days of Awe" are not included in the year of Jubilee. But maybe it's just to give the people a little extra time to gather their harvest before a sabbatical year. I actually think the Jubilee will be the first year Jesus reigns in the earth. Hopefully, 2024-2025. (edit: note: I started this thread to discuss the idea that Rosh Hashana is separate from Yom Teruah. When I say Rosh Hashana moved to feast of atonement, I mean the civil holiday of the year date changing, and not including the Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah). Yom Teruah always occurs on the 1st of the 7th month, as stated in Leviticus.)
