This is a Jubilee Year. Land is supposed to be 'returned' to the owner, not taken away. East Jerusalem is the 'biblical' Jerusalem. It is not 'Israel' being divided that will so much invite judgement, but the division of biblical Jerusalem. In Leviticus 25, we see that Rosh Hashanah is pushed back 10 days in a Jubilee Year. I wonder if God knows man's procrastination and gives them until the last day to do what they should. If biblical Jerusalem is NOT given back to God, it will be bad - especially since Israel will be part of the agreement to divide. They will have sinned and invited God's discipline via Satan. This may be why the AC is given rule to persecute Israel for the first 3 1/2 years. If you read that chapter, you will see myriads of 'releases' that are to be done. God is faithful to carry out both release and punishments for non-release. The world will reap its actions. Hello Truthseeker. I agree 100% that Jerusalem is huge and cannot be overstated. Jerusalem is central in end-times prophecy as is the temple. They have the plans, they have all the instruments, including the huge solid gold menorah, and are even training priests from the line of Levi. - This year, on Passover, they actually sacrificed a lamb, and burned it. There are so many things in place that add up, and line up, I think we are in labor pains, and I'm hoping and praying that the Harpazo will be on Day of Atonement. **It's only a theory, and while I don't see the Sept 23 alignment as the Revelation sign, it is very interesting that it occurred 7 days before Day of Atonement, and what's more interesting is that the Great American eclipse was exactly 40 days before Day of Atonement.
I'm open to different possibilities and try to look at other views with humility - understanding that we are all watchmen and women, and no one has all the pieces. ;-) I like the concept of Jubilee year, but after really studying it out - Jonathan Cohn, nor Mark Biltz, nor Scott Clark, nor Cornelius Jones, nor any of the Youtube prophecy teachers can give credible evidence that proves how this is a Jubilee year. - I could be, 1 in 50 chance, - but when you trace it back, it goes back to Johnathan Cohn's Harbinger book, and or Rabbi Ben Samuel, who made amazing predictions hundreds of years ago. Here's the problem. The Jewish calendar is very very complex. - A normal year (not a leap year) can have either 353, 354 or 355 days.
- To make it more complex, three months out of every single year can have either 29 or 30 days.
- A Lunar cycle is 29 1/2 days, and so a regular Jewish year has 11 days fewer than our Gregorian calendar.
- A leap year with an extra month is added 7 times in 19 years . ***This is the well-known Metonic cycle that has been in place for centuries. I think 4th century, but I have to double check.
- The leap years have either 383, 384 or 385 days, and 7 doesn't go into 19 evenly, so they in any given 7 year period, there are 2 leap year cycles of 383,384 or 385 days and 5 regular years of 353,354 or 355 days.
- The Lunar cycle, using all these adjustments is not precise, and is off by one day ever 216 years.
- Not even Hebrew rabbis well-trained in astronomy, nor Messianic rabbis, nor prophecy teachers can tell us how to know that we are in a Jubilee year. 100 yr anniversary from Balfour Declaration is very cool. Israel becoming a nation in 1947 is 70 year 'generation'. Very interesting. 1967 - 50 year anniversary of Jerusalem being re-claimed is really incredible.
- Think about it - People who talk about the Jubilee years are counting by Gregorian years.
For these reasons I think we are in labor pains, -- add in the eclipse, and the record-breaking earthquake, and the hurricanes, and the use of microchips in place in Sweden and US, and the increased immorality, and so on. - This has nothing to do with me or anyone being "right". I would be happy to post on shoutbox if anyone could give credible evidence but they can't. I'm with you and many other - that I'm hoping and praying that our Lord returns and we are raptured on Day of Atonement. ;-) maranatha.
Please, Yardstick, or someone, that would be an awesome thread. **None of the Tribulation timelines work because a Jewish year can have six possibilities of days - regular or leap year.

So much for all of us to take in. I look forward to our time of full knowledge and truth! I am always looking at God's heart in Amos 8. He calls them "your feast days", not "my appointed feasts" as in Leviticus. Probably MUCH of what we look to understand about the Jewish Feasts is off by man's tainting. Just look at the "modern" Hebrew alphabet. All the characters are uniform - much different from the 'picture' letters of the ancient alphabet. I was thinking how God KNEW we'd be using the Gregorian calendar now and the situation we'd be in. Maybe a cycle starts whenever it starts. And the 1917 land return, started the cycle. God says 'every fiftieth year', so maybe due to the start of 1917 land deal - we are NOW in a 50th Jubilee cycle and God will honor it (?) Just thinking out loud...

Hey truthseeker, pardon my Jewish ignorance but doesn't God's calendar consist of only 360 days with an added 30 days during a leap year cycle? I know it also involves the lunar cycle and the agricultural cycle as well but that is basically all I know.

We are all in the same boat Rick! Lol. Well a religious year would start at the first of Nissan and end the day before, One year later. So I would imagine that whether there is a leap month included or not... it's still Nissan 1 to Nissan 1. And that would be a one year cycle(?)

IMHO, you need three things: a start point, and an accurate count, and an assumption to test. 1. Assumption: 1967 was a jubilee year. 2. A start point: Start at the appropriate date a Jubilee year begins: Namely the first day of the religious (not civil) year: FoA because of the 10-day rule? This is the first day. Begin counting. 3. Use your counts from above to establish the days of the year. Use days, not months (except incidentally to check your date counts). Remember to add Adar 2 in when appropriate. You can use stellarium to 'locate' the new moon in 1967 to start your lunar calendar.

So I would imagine that whether there is a leap month included or not... it's still Nissan 1 to Nissan 1. And that would be a one year cycle(?) I understand your point, Truthseeker. Technically it's one year cycle, but that's very imprecise, and the real issue, is that while it is technically a "one year cycle" the leap year is an extra 30 days. - Are you counting 354 day Metonic Year -used for more than 1000 years.
- Are you using an 'ancient Babylonian lunar calendar' with 360 days,
- Or are you using a Metonic Leap year with 384 days,
- Are you using the added Adar II
**This is why Jewish astronomers and rabbis can't figure it out - as follows:
There is strong evidence to support the theory that OT patriarchs (and Babylonians and Egyptians used a 360 day calendar) but Jews for centuries have used the Metonic cycle. They realized that the lunar cycle was 11 days shorter. They also realized that this made all the Fall Feasts 'shift' into the Spring and vice versa. They added an extra Leap month, to compensate for the shorter Lunar cycle. **Buckle up, it gets trickier. They use the Metonic cycle, which adds 7 leap years in 19 year Metonic cycle. Just adding one every two years is too many. Adding a leap year every 3 years is too few. ;-(
The Ancient (sometimes called prophetic calendar only adds a leap year once every six years.) This is how they come up with the 1260 days in Daniel. 3 x 360 =1080. 360 /2 = 180 - Half a year. 1080 + 180 =1260 - First half, but there's the leap year with extra 30 days. 1260 days +30 days =1290. We know precisely that the Tribulation has 2550 days. Whether we call them Elf years, Gregorian years, or Hobbit Thrneaiusrvessne. We can count back 50 years and see significant piece of prophecy - Jerusalem being reclaimed. We can count back 100 years and see Balfour Declaration. We could count back 600 years or 750 years, and it may show some significant event, but it doesn't prove or even indicate that that was a Jubilee year. -Also, it's clear that we can't use Gregorian years, but which Jewish year do you use. ? Metonic cycle, with 354 regular days and 7 leap years for every 19 year cycle, or "prophetic" calendar with 360 days and leap year added every six. ??

I get it. And by all this, you're right all we can say is that we don't really know whether this is a Jubilee year or not.. what we do know is that God operates By His OWN rules. He lets us see that he is fair on how he deals with things. He is a righteous judge. The world will know it's a Jubilee year by the rapture and by the signing of the Treaty to divide the land. Both possessions are his and the law will require that they be returned to Him. If they instead, the heart or take away from him, then he will be just to handle things as written.
I do not discount ANYTHING OF what you're writing. Y'all are also very very smart in these areas of expertise. I have seen times when their understanding is crucial in the road can go no further without knowing it. Other times It feels like it is overshadowing the heart of a matter.. but I will also agree we are not allowed to put a circle into square .😊

I love your attitude. We're all in the same boat together, my friend - sharing the pieces we have with other watchmen. Sometimes we can be sure that our theory is correct- that the piece we have 'has to be sky' - it's too clear and even to be water, but when I put it with your piece, it turns out to be a blue house. ;-) I don't think it has to be that it's a Jubilee year, but it would be amazing -- All the powerful symbolism would be so perfect. It could mean that the rapture was just on Day of Atonement all along. ;-) Like my piece that I was sure was 'sky'. For me, I hope that we see the rapture/harpazo event on Day of atonement.

This is why we make an assumption and test the hypothesis.
The thing that are are trying to prove out with this method is that all of your dates would line up - historical and future.
We do not know 'when' the Trib starts, but we can add a few more assumptions and see if we get a working model. For instance: an assumption that the second coming will occur on a given feast date in 2024.
Whether we have a known start point (we dont) or a known end date (can be assumed) we do have a day count. So it is a matter of creating a model and comparing the hypothesis to the model.
Doing so results in 4 options:
1. Both the model and the assumption(s) are incorrect <<--- this is just a plain shot in the dark, usually 2. The model is incorrect, and the assumption(s) are correct <<--- there is no way to prove this, since no accurate counts or data can be used 3. The model is correct, but the assumption(s) are incorrect <<--- this would be the blood moons and the 9/23 phenomenon 4. Both the model and the assumption(s) are correct. <<------ this is the one we want.
How do we get to #4? By testing multiple models and comparing them to each other. Each test should have only one variable changed at a time before re-comparing; i.e.: adding one more assumption, or removing one assumption, or changing one count quantity.
But never change more than one variable at a time, or you risk giving yourself a false result.

Whether we have a known start point (we dont) or a known end date (can be assumed) we do have a day count. So it is a matter of creating a model and comparing the hypothesis to the model.
Actually though, we have a day count that equals a certain number of months... 42 months, which equals a "time, times and half a time (X,Xs,1/2X)." X,Xs1/2X would be based on 360 day years and would be 360+(2)360+(1/2)360. Thus, X,Xs,1/2X = 42 months = 1260 days. I know none of this is "new" but maybe if we consider it all together we gain some insight? Rev 12:6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.Rev 12:14 But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.Rev 11:2 But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two months.Rev 13:5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months.
Rev 7:25 He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand For a time and times and half a time.Rev 12:7 Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; and when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished. Then all we have are a few more verses which gives us extra details:Rev 11:3 And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.” Dan 12:11 “And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.Dan 9:27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.” So we know the whole period is a week of years, meaning seven years. The two halves of which would equal 3 1/2 years each. But does 3 1/2 years necessarily equal X,Xs,1/2X, 42 months and 1260 days? It seems like the answer is "no." The verse with the 1290 day count seems to indicate that there is a leap month added into one of the 3 1/2 years sets. Each set of 1260 day periods cannot have a leap month added into it, so the leap month must occur either before or after one (or both) periods begin and/or end. The verse that says "in the middle of the week" may be vague because it is not literally meaning one single day, but may in fact indicate the entire time of the extra 30 days from the 1290 day count. A 30 day time period would allow the 3 1/2 days the witnesses are dead, allow the AC to set up the AoD, and allow the remnant to flee into the wilderness, all of which is doubtful could be accomplished in one day, or would cause the 1260 day time periods to overlap. Thus, "in the middle of the week" literally would mean the 30 day month exactly in the middle of the 7 years, flanked by 1260 days on both sides. The witnesses are in the first 1260 days, and the woman is nourished in the wilderness while the AC has absolute power during the latter 1260 days. Again, it sounds to me like the extra 30 days is in the middle of the week, but this presents a problem with the idea that the witnesses are killed on Passover and resurrected and raptured on First Fruits, 3 1/2 days later as the text says, because the traditional time for adding a leap month is right before Nisan. The only way this can be remedied is if the witnesses do not show up for the first month of the 7 years or the leap month is added within the 2nd half of the 7 years. In this case, the extra 30 day period (not necessarily the actual leap month) must be before the remnant flees or after the period where she is nourished. Again though, if it's anywhere other than in the middle, the witnesses' deaths will overlap into the second 1260 days and the remnant will literally have maybe one day to flee to the wilderness. That seems implausible to me. These numbers God has given us in scripture makes the months exactly 30 days each, or at least to fit within a 360 day calendar. It sounds to me like we're overthinking this and God is going to revert back to HIS calendar, maybe even cause the earth's rotation around the sun to speed back up to 360 days. I don't know if we can look forward based on our calendar to figure out the timeline. I don't know if this actually helped, lol 😇
