The entire Ring of Fire has been amazingly active. I have the Diaster Prediction App from suspicious observers on my phone and it's been sending alerts like crazy the last few days.

Two more at roughly the same location...5.3 & 5.1 at 12:24 ET. Look out northern CA.

Fitz..so there is 3 confirmed separate EQs in California today? Just making sure I was reading that correctly.
If so, that's pretty alarming, praying for the folks on the west coast

USGS removed the 5.3...so now just a 5.8 and a 5.0.

Just felt an earthquake here at my shop in Brentwood, NH @ 9:30. Rumble faded in, then a sharp jolt, then the rumble faded out. Maybe 5 seconds long. I do not see it listed on USGS yet, but it usually takes some time. I *THINK thats what I felt (only my third earthquake).

Interesting tidbit...looking at the local news last night to see what they would say about the EQ I felt yesterday. I was surprised to see that it was the third in NH in 3 days (one each day). I hadn't seen the two previous ones as the were under 2.5 and I rarely look at those. Looking up.  |
