idk I just feel like we wouldn't need it, I mean Jesus will be right there, He would provide the light and everything that we would need That will certainly be the case in the New Jerusalem, which is a totally different time period--or "timeless period" as the case may be. New Jerusalem, also known as "the Eternal State" is what s described in Revelation 21 and 22.

Don't forget about the end of this: they all rise up saying 'let us throw off their chains', etc. There will be amazing, glorious, wonderful things going on, but sinful human nature being what it is, these other people will be chafing under the perfect rule of Christ and his saints due solely to their own recalcitrant nature. That sin nature is something else, guys. I think it's going to be great in many ways. Christ himself, ruling on this earth! No more indwelling sin for us to deal with! But because of those people who will not bow their hearts, I don't think it will be altogether without difficulty. Whether or not there is technology, either at first or as a rule in the MK. Shovels are technology, but I'm reading this thread as having more to do with electrical tech. We could do so much more with technological aid than without. I say this because I personally hold less to having a fully glorified body with all the cool bells and whistles on earth than in the New Jerusalem. Which, at that point, all bets are off. No, in the meantime there will be food to grow and enjoy, and things to do. I'm not as much into the governing thing as some of you beloved folks. Absolutely not, leave me alone and don't come asking my opinion unless you really want to hear it, and don't put me in charge of anything more than myself, please and thank you! I can't imagine having anything to do with management. I can't imagine having anything to do with ruling, with judging, with being in charge of anything, with any of this, even small-scale. I have a great imagination, with which I have built worlds out of ink and paper, and thousands of kilobits of storage. But this I shake my head at, and throw up my hands, and beg to differ and be quit of. And I can't imagine the perpetual sameness of it all, or the wholeness of it all, or anything else of the sort. And especially not of being in charge of anything. I have had two venus fly-traps die on me, for pity's sake. Two. This week. My apologies for having rambled on. In the end it is all speculation and it is well enough. I have no doubt we will all be well able to discharge our duties as we must, and that it will be as it is now: grace sufficient to the moment.

Jesus said the last shall be first, and the first shall be last. Wouldn't surprise me if you wind up a lot higher up the leadership ladder than a lot of us.

What is mind boggling to me is that even though we'll be living in a paradise with few of the problems we have now, millions will still rise up and join Satan when he is finally released. That just shows you how strong the sin nature is.

Yes, it is amazing. A very sobering thought, Linda.

Wouldn't surprise me if you wind up a lot higher up the leadership ladder than a lot of us. It sure would surprise me. I haven't believed in purgatory a day in my life, however much I think I'd be owed it under other circumstances. Dare you even dream such a thing, let alone speak it. I thought we were friends.

Well. I hope we're still friends! Ok, about this, I'll put it this way. Jesus won't give you any leadership position unless you are ok with it.

I seem to visit about every month here. Such is life! I am open to lighthearted teasing, and I hope I didn't come across as other than lighthearted, but honestly. Leadership scares me to death. Period. End of discussion. That's why I replied as I did. It is emphatically not my strong point, and I have more than enough to answer for as it is. I am far too fond of my own peace and quiet to be a good leader. And I don't know, I appreciate you putting it that way. It just makes me want to laugh like Sarah, when she was told she'd have a son. So anyway... if I say anything else, this is going to rabbit trail into a discussion not about technology. Although regarding Heaven, I had a discussion with my little girl recently about the animals being harmless. She was super-excited that she would get to play with animals that we consider wild, that lions would eat straw, and that snakes wouldn't bite. She loves critters, and she even braves the stings of the spiny caterpillars when they come out because she loves how their feet feel when they crawl on her fingers. Some happy thoughts for everyone this evening. Blessings!
