You know, the common logic of Satan wanting the end times to happen as the preachers say runs so counter to common sense IMO. Why would he want to hasten his end? Seems to me he'd want to delay it, and would only enact it inadvertently because he was forced to do so. Maybe that's why the Deep State is trying to tank Trump?

Or, the whole narrative there is based on bad assumptions, like that Satan is something out of a horror movie instead of that which tries to be like the Most High?

Satan being locked up already for 1000 years is a amillennial belief. In pretrib Satan is locked up and released after Christ returns and rules.

My point remains: even if he sees it as an inevitability, and wanted to destroy people, then why would he go along with it?

The political battle in the US now is about righteousness. You have one side claiming to speak righteously while selling the country to the Red Dragon behind the scenes, and the other that they claim isn't speaking righteously yet is doing the opposite regardless of the cameras.

Its just gonna be one of these things, venge , where I can not agree with 1) the premise of the character he is assignin to the orange man.  For me, its the "doing" by the current man in office that "outweighs" his personality. And 2) no one knows what the Lord is doing in this man's life. If you ever looked into the history of his mom, apparently she was a prayer warrior in her day. Several of the descriptions piper uses I flat out disagree with.  Sorry, I do not see the man currently as practicing sexual immorality.  I dont see him any more boastful than the previous administration's gloating over "not a smidgeon of corruption" in their reign in office, what, really?  What was your Sec of State doing?

The worst is the man who think he can HIDE his sin from the world. Self-righteous in Sheep clothing walking around saying THIS is the behavior of a good man, while undermining his country, and himself border-lines on sexual impropriety.  

but here is the thing:  What the elites tried to do to remove this man from office should scare the hell out of every single american.  What they did to railroad Flynn and destroy that man's life is a disgrace. AND, the media having become an arm of a single Party in the country, censoring truth, preventing the spread of TRUTHFUL information on covid treatments, etc, and not reporting on all the good things this president has done is a disgrace to journalism.

When this current president attacks the media, he is defending ME!  He is defending MY FRUSTRATION with fake news.  Even Jesus turned tables.  This man in office has legitimate reasons for being frustrated and rather angry at how he has been treated.

My initial thought was just skip the Piper article, but then, I decided to look at each article as a separate entity - one article does not a person make. It's good to be open-minded and read perspectives that challenge and even are diametrically opposed to our own, and it helps to be more aware of others' perspectives.

I have to say that Mike's example, - explaining his location and circumstances helped me see things in a different light about each person's decision before God regarding whom to vote for, or maybe not supporting any candidate.

In this particular case, Piper's article only confirmed his naive and one-dimensional view, and and it really should have just been a Tweet -

Yeah, Piper - that's the funny thing about free will and end-times and Salvation and grits - we have the ability to accept it or reject it and reach different conclusions. You can have your grits with Jam, with lots of butter and salt, or just refuse them. heheheh.

I'm not saying this is your assessment, but It's clear from the article that he somehow thinks these guys are running for RCAO - President of Real Christians of America.

As if this notion had not been thought of and debunked thousands of times, his view of the election and candidates seemed shockingly one-dimensional and short-sighted - naively looking though a "one-man-four-year" lens, rather than 50 years from now, and the much larger, broader view of the Supreme Court, and the spiritual and cultural cancer we have already seen in the last 2 decades - and the implications for Christians to meet, worship publicly, as well as speak out against sin like LGBT and BLM's anti-family and occultic practices.   
We need look no farther than Cuomo's targeting of religious groups in New York, while he promotes rioters and looters.

Sounds extreme - I know. But we did have a very bad spider problem, in a rental house, and the small daughter about 7 yr was bitten and had to go to the hospital. I could have done nothing. I can't solve the problems of politicians on every side who lie, cheat, steal and do immoral things.
But one state's election of a conservative senator came down to about 40,000 votes, which is the equivalent of Christians in 60 large churches in one city.

Knoxville has over 700 churches listed in the yellow pages.
If my children or neighbor ask me - "If you knew the Supreme Court was in the balance and it would affect our culture for 100 years as well as Christians across the nation - would you do something about it, and if so, what would you do"??
