I have a prayer request. I've had biblical discussions with my co-worker here and there since I started this job back in October 2019. She came from a Catholic family (she is from mexico originally), and her husband and his family are JW. So, she is in a spot between 2 very distorted gospels and traditions. Though she is well aware of my beliefs and doctrine (I do not hide my feelings about scripture, current events, or Jesus), she never really opened up to me about her own beliefs. Well, it came to light yesterday, through a rather excited conversation, that she doesn't really know what she believes. Being in between two groups, she just never read the scriptures for herself in order to make a personal choice. She asked me why I think "my truth" is more true than these other denominations, and I pointed out who the Bible says Jesus IS, and how both of the others don't agree entirely with THAT important point. I read some verses to her and said: "Once I read the Bible and considered its implications, I realized that 'knowing my own stance on the words there written' was THE MOST important decision of my entire existence, because being wrong has eternal ramifications." I told her that in my opinion, and the reason I came to a saving faith was realizing the severity of "just waiting to see who's right". To cut this short, she broke into tears towards the end of the conversation and said: "What if I don't want to go anywhere when I die? What if I just want it to be done? Don't I get that choice?" Without being insensitive I told her that that is not a choice we get to make. And her final words (before my boss walked back in from lunch, and we had to pause our convo) was (through genuine tears) "I don't want to pay my dues. I just want to be done." I told her that that was the beauty of the gospel. That Jesus already paid our dues. That all we need do is ask Him into our hearts and accept His finished work on the cross. I wasn't able to talk further with her about, but it brought to light a little glimpse of the state of her heart. To the point: If you could have her in your prayers. I think I broke a little hole for seeds to sprout, but the rest in in the hands of the Spirit to work in her. Please pray for Paola, that she might find peace and find Christ before the time tribulation. God bless you all, and thank you Natalie, sawdy, mike, mc,

I will pray for Paola. If it was at all possible to share these with her, we have two articles that God might use to speak to where she's at: www.unsealed.org/2019/01/the-law.htmlwww.unsealed.org/2018/06/the-called-out-ones.htmlThe first one has brought several people with similar backgrounds out of legalism. The second one helps explain the confusion around denominations and why the simplicity of the gospel is the only genuine expression of Christianity.

Friday: praying for Paola
Heavenly Father, Sometimes watching all that is going on is overwhelming. We ask that You would give us strength to keep fighting the good fight. Help us to walk in the good works You have laid out for us. May we speak truth with love. May we not be overwhelmed but may we not grow cold either. May we not get used to the violence and wickedness. Help us also to bring hope to those around us. May we share the answer for all of this. And may we have joy as we continue watching for the return of our King. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Gary, Natalie, Thank you. I sent her those articles. I have read them both already and sent them to multiple people already, so I should have thought to send those yesterday. I will be praying and leave it open to her to bring it up in the future. Love you guys and the Unsealed community. God Bless you, my neighbors in the valley.

I must agree with you InaweofHim - thank you Natalie for your beautiful prayers over us all, over this community, for our troubled world💗 And ksteven I'll definitely be praying for your friend. As I was reading your words I recognised the despair and fatigue that your friend is describing. I've seen it in my friends, and even in myself many many years ago. Only Jesus solves that problem. He is our only hope. We come to faith as a response to the truth of the historical Jesus, or as a response to the Holy Spirit on a very personal level. It sounds like your friend is needing an encounter with the Holy Spirit. That will be my prayer for her. Thank you Lord that you give us so many opportunities to accept Your wonderful gift of salvation. Our prayers are that this is the time for Paola to accept Your gift. Thank you Lord 💗

Monday:
Heavenly Father, We thank You today for those men and women who serve their communities as policemen, firemen, and EMTs. We ask that You would give them wisdom as they do their jobs. Help them to stay safe. It's a tough time to be in some of these positions. May they be encouraged by those around them who do value what they do. And may they seek You with their whole heart. In Jesus name, amen.

Tuesday: Israel
Heavenly Father, We know that Your Word says to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. And so we pray that Your peace will settle in the hearts of the Jewish people. May they soften their hearts and turn their minds toward You, knowing that if they search earnestly for the truth that You will show them. May they see the truth in their Scriptures and come to know true peace by coming to know the Prince of Peace. We pray for wisdom for Israel's leaders. And we pray that they put their trust in You and not anything man can do. We thank You for keeping Your promises to Israel for in doing so we can trust Your promises to us. We look forward to the blessings that will be poured out on them when they come to Jesus. It's in His name we pray, Amen.

Thursday: persecuted church
Heavenly Father, We come to You today on behalf of Christians worldwide who are being persecuted. We pray that they will stand firm in their faith and place all their trust in You because You are trustworthy. We also pray for those doing the persecuting. May they see the Gospel at work and hear the truth so that their hearts can also be changed. We have read how Paul was changed and know that Jesus changes people. We pray for comfort for those who are separated from their families because of persecution. May they lean on You and the promises in Your Word. For this is not our home. In Jesus name, Amen.

Thursday:
Heavenly Father, we come to You today to pray for those in the west who are dealing with the fires and the winds. We ask that You would protect them, help them evacuate in time if needed, help them to find a safe place. May many turn and put their trust in You. Please give strength and comfort to believers. May they be able and willing to help others when they see a need. Guide them and protect them. In Jesus name, amen.

Friday:
Heavenly Father, Today we come to You in remembrance. We pray for those who lost friends and family on this day. May they ultimately seek You for comfort and healing. We thank You for the brave men and women who risked their lives to save others; many who gave their lives for others. May we shine Your light brightly today and point people to the hope we have. In Jesus name, Amen.

Monday:
Heavenly Father, we come to You this morning to pray for those who are dealing with fires, flooding, earthquakes, hurricanes, any number of natural disasters. We ask for protection for them, we ask that You guide any rescue workers as they are needed, we ask that You provide help in these situations. May those dealing with these things seek Your help that what they are going through would clearly point them to You. And may the Gospel go out to those in need of it. In Jesus name, Amen.

Tuesday: continue prayers for those impacted by fires and Hurricane Sally
Heavenly Father, today they are meeting in Washington in the name of peace. We know that without Jesus there is not true peace; there won't be complete peace until He comes. We do thank You when we can reconcile and we can have peace between people that were not at peace. We enjoy that taste of the promises to come. We are glad that some peace is possible, but may this time be a time of pointing people to true peace and the Prince of Peace, who not only brings peace between people and nations but between people and their Creator. It's in His name we pray, amen.

Wednesday:
Heavenly Father, We come to You today to pray for the missionaries throughout the world. We ask that You would thoroughly equip them for the spiritual battle they are in. We ask that You would open doors that seem shut, open ears that are closed, and soften hearts with the Gospel. We ask that You will be their comfort when it's lonely, their healer when there is sickness, and their light when it seems so very dark. We also pray for those who have accepted Your truth and trusted in Jesus. May they continue to serve Him only and grow as disciples. In His name we pray, Amen.

Thursday:
Heavenly Father, We thank You, Father, for sending Your Son. We are thankful that we have a High Priest who intercedes for us. We are grateful that we can come to You through Him. We ask today that You will strengthen our faith where it is lacking. May we also be able to stand for Your truth and turn from everything else. Help us to run and not grow weary. May we be able to keep our mind on the things above and not the things of this earth, for in that we also know that we will have peace and rest. Remind us that You have all that we need and our treasure is stored with You. In Jesus name, Amen.
