Another thought - just for what it's worth. Someone suggested, ? boraddict or boymaker , that China intentionally created this virus as a potential Biological weapon.
Not me because I do not think anyone is that smart. Secondly, as of yesterday the virus has 103 mutations in two classifications (L and S). S was the original and oldest whereas L is the newest and baddest. L dominates with 70 percent of the cases and S has 30 percent of the cases. As it goes along the virus mutations that are the worst will perhaps dominate the landscape. So if your body overcomes one strain then you have 102 left to go (as of yesterday). I saw a news article where a man said it was not to bad; just a cough. I suppose that he got one of the milder strains. I also saw a report where an individual recovered from the virus only to return to the hospital with the virus again. It was not said the man had the same strain or another.

I thought to myself if I should reply and contribute to this debate. Though we disagree on timing, from my understanding, I see this virus as a possible candidate to increase polarization of Nations with money. Right now, we have pestilence, we also have millions of new Syrian immigrants heading towards Europe from Turkey.
The immigration will cause more right wing anger and left wing aggression. All this with fear of disease and who to blame.
Coronavirus is either just a virus made to bring about God’s plan and have people repent (for those like me that believe some seals are opened) or its the precursor to Babylons destruction. The giant money magnet city that the world is lusting it’s debt over. How will it be destroyed? By several factors? Only God knows.
We went from world war 2 to great human prosperity in much of the world. And how much glory is God given? For he gives much and much is required. In Zechariah, the world was all ease in great prosperity and the Gentiles were causing problems for God’s people. He lets the riders go out and cause war, pestilence etc
The world is terrible today. My coworkers watch “Friends” where every other word takes the Lords name in vain. Seriously.
Our world needs change and I think a lot of judgment will come before it gets better and we need to be there for others and remain strong in the faith when it gets bad till we are received in the air.
Here is a totally non scriptural prophetic guess. What if Coronavirus spreads over the US, Trump gets re-elected and blows it and there are countless deaths with a major stock market crash and evangelicals are blamed. The persecution will begin. Just a thought to remain firm in him even when surrounded by darkness-he is always faithful!!!

This just hot off the press. I'm a firm believer that people hear from God in different ways, but I'm very skeptical of this. Seems way too much like a photo-op to me.
Another thing that makes me really skeptical is that I've already read multiple reports that Israel is working on a vaccine as we speak. If I read it, I'm sure he has access also. So the notion that he heard this from God. meh.
Mark me down as a firm skeptic on this one. We'll know a lot more in one month.
"Shawn Bolz about a week ago.
The Lord showed me The end of the Coronavirus...the tide is turning now!
He is answering the prayers and cries of the nations and is putting an end in sight. The exaggerated fear based tactics of both the enemy and several media outlets for political reasons is coming to an end. The enemy has been trying to distract and steal from several equally important purposes and issues by dominating airwaves with conspiracy and fear.
Even now several vaccines are coming out as well as a natural dying out of the virus itself. The Lord is saying “I am removing the threat of this.”
Within a short amount of time the extreme threat will feel like it is in the way past.

We now have confirmed cases in KY (where hubby and I work) and in IL where we live. Hubby works on the river and is in constant contact with people that have traveled worldwide. Our hometown is a major thoroughfare for Nashville TN and Chicago IL plus St. Louis MO. The doctor I work with says the virus has already been brought to our town it’s just with the incubation period being so long no symptoms are present yet. So far, very few are taking it seriously. I really don’t think we have to endure this world much longer. Too much is happening. Too much too fast.

This morning the wife and I had a really tough heart to heart. Oldest is bringing his fiancee to meet us on the 20th. They are in NC...actually about 50 miles from the two NC infections. She's a nurse.
Anyway, just wanted her to be realistic about them traveling on the 19/20th...as this thing spreads, we may see travel restrictions...who knows?
Also, wanted her to be realistic about the fact that she is in the highest risk category and I want her to make good, logical decisions about working in retail. It's a bad place for her to be at this moment, handling money and coming in close contact with dozens of people every day. so she may need to consider stepping down and isolating at home soon.
In summary...we're not worried. We've bought a few meager provisions, enough to get us thru a few weeks, but no more. Communicating with friends and neighbors very close by in case we need to help each other.
But mainly, just resting in Jesus. That's the best thing we can do with this.
Psalm 91

Fitz I am a massage therapist. I have also considered slowing, if not stopping work, for the time being. I totally get your thinking. I am thinking of gathering a few supplies just in case.

Yes, resting in Jesus and looking up. I've made a couple of extra shopping trips and have enough extra for a couple of weeks. When I went to the store last Monday, the only thing they were low on was toilet paper and water. Most people seemed to be just shopping as normal. The concern I would have is for my in-laws; their health isn't great. One severe sickness of any kind for my father-in-law would probably be all it takes. I am pretty sure both are believers. So, I leave them in His hands.

Natalie we have health issues too. Hubby had a massive heart attack 3 years ago. Died 3 times and was resuscitated. I had cancer six years ago. If we get it things may not be good. But. I just can’t help but think we are literally on the verge of going home SO.....

Here's a few things for perspective. "Coronavirus" is all over the news - every day, multiple stories - new cases, etc. and so I was very surprised to see this headline - "Bill Maher says coronavirus 'overreactions' making him 'sick': 'People die! That's what happens in life!' "
Bill Maher is a vile, hostile anti-Christian far left talk show host, and I'm not in his fan club. I have the same in common with him as i do with Stalin and Nero. I'm not listing the actual link because he can hardly utter a full thought without using profanity.
I agree with him on this. The left-wing hysteria is far worse than the virus. Yesterday - a doctor friend of ours came to the house, after his daughters came to play. The interesting thing is that he lived in South Africa as an MK and his sister and her husband are missionaries in Senegal.
They are travelling on a plane next week, to Senegal where there are fewer than 10 known cases. He said it's way way overblown, and the media is intentionally stirring up fear.
He also said that medical professionals in Africa were interviewed, - asked what precautions they are taking, and how worried they are about this - Their answer was that they saw and witnessed Ebola virus, which was ten times worse, and said that this is literally a joke.
Here's also what he said that no-one, no major news channel or newspaper is even mentioning. The mortality rate of this is around 2% which is higher than the common flu, but in South Korea, there was massive, large scale testing, - even drive-through testing centers, early on.
They tested tens of thousands, and found many more cases, and the mortality rate is around .6% which he says, is much closer to the "real" mortality rate. When so few people are tested and the kits are defective and the criteria was so absurd, this skews the data and makes the rate of people dying seem much higher. ;-) hmmmm. What he also said is that will all the thousands of confirmed cases around the world, we see almost none in young children. It's practically absent. Those infected are mostly over 55, and those when they look at those over 65, the mortality rate jumps, and when they look at people over 65 with 2 health issues, like diabetes, emphysema, or low blood pressure, then the mortality rate spikes.
What's more, the standard masks, that people are buying by the thousands, are for use in home remodel and helpful for sawdust - but literally are worthless for protecting people from Coronovirus. It's literally as effective/helpful as wearing rabbit wire over your face, so you don't sneeze.
I don't ever get the flu vaccine, and if they come up with a vaccine for this, then i won't get that either. Plenty of other older people in poor health need it more, and I don't trust what the government puts in vaccines, and I'm very healthy.
I'm much more worried about the ripple effect in the economy as people continue to panic and completely lose their minds. Our doctor friend said people are so hysterical, they call every day, literally yelling at the nurses and receptionists because the clinic won't sell them medical supplies.. Wow.

boraddict, venge, disciple4life, tlwald, Natalie, fitz, some food for thought in these two articles, this virus may not be as bad as people might be saying it is, but the response to it could be: www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/trump-boasts-we-have-perfectly-coordinated-plan-stop-virus-16-million-italians-wakewww.zerohedge.com/markets/after-state-emergency-cuomo-hints-mass-quarantines-new-yorkI live in NY, though on the opposite side of the state from NYC. So far no cases here, but if NYC get quarantined, just imagine the impact.

Costco, BJ's, Home Depot, Walmart, CVS, Khols, Ace hardware, local food store etc...all out of zinc lozenges, a lot of cough medicines, low amt on toilet paper, liquid soaps, hand sanitizers, face masks, can still find baby diapers and formula but that is less then normal, cleaning wipes are sold out. I havenyt seen anyone wearing masks yet but mother in Florida see's people wearing them. Also she has told me that stores are all sold out of the same items I listed that are sold out in VA. This is getting crazy! Never in my life have I seen anything like this Oh and because of the virus and gasoline dropping in price, reg cost me today $1.99 a gallon. I was very happy!!!!!! lol $20 bucks to fill up my car

I am reminded of the flu pandemic from 1918. Look that up. It seemed far worse than this. Is it the bug itself OR is it the voice of man trying to manipulate society as a whole? Maybe the flu of 1918 was worse because there wasn't media to help get the word out the same way to give people the heads up. Either way huge numbers of people died from that outbreak 100 years ago... I myself have felt "oh, this is part of the end times" but the past few days in putting things into perspective, there have been mass deaths in other centuries, and we are not at mass death. Again, internet/media panic.

Makes me think if this is happening for this uncertain virus, what will actually happen when a tribulation really gets bad. Right now I don't think this is as bad as our grandparents had to endure during the Great Depression and food rationing, but it could definitely get to that point if the economy keeps tanking the way it looks to be going. I'm no ultra "prepper", but I'm prepared for a short term emergency. This also makes me think of the ant in proverbs. Proverbs 30:25 The ants are not a strong people, But they prepare their food in the summer; Proverbs 6:6-8 6 Go to the ant, O sluggard, Observe her ways and be wise, 7 Which, having no chief, Officer or ruler, 8 Prepares her food in the summer And gathers her provision in the harvest. Also takes me back to the Boy Scout motto of my childhood (of course this way before the Scouts were infiltrated by evil men). Be prepared! and Oath. On my honor, I will do my best To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight. Be faithful to God and help others in need. This is how God wants us to respond. God be with all of you during these trying times.
