The point of this thread is not to claim that the rapture/ Harpazo will happen on this Pentecost, or any future one, but rather to point out that there are many striking parallels and that the evidence is very very compelling for several things - 1. That the Feasts are a shadow of things to come - the word in Hebrew is Moadim, - 'appointed times' and also a dress rehearsal. 2. Paul said that for us - "Children of the day", the day of Christ will not be a surprise, like a thief." 3. Prophecies often have dual and even multiple fulfillment ; Pentecost was the conception of the church, and a partial fulfillment of the giving of the law at Sinai - which also happened at the same time as Pentecost, and Pentecost is primarily a "Harvest".
This video is absolutely amazing - he gives so many clear parallels between the rapture and Pentecost.
When we consider the season we are in, 70th anniversary of Israel, and all the other converging signs, earthquakes, volcanoes and the situation between Israel and Iran/Syria, it points to birth pains - which as JD Farag says, - only increase in frequency and intensity as the time gets closer.

This was actually one of the first videos I saw that inspired me to share this video, and create the thread. I instantly thought of yardstick. I know that there are also some other watchmen who are very astute with numbers and astronomy. He seems to base his entire premise on the Jupiter/ Venus conjunction. I don't understand where he gets his numbers, or the connection, but his passion and enthusiasm is incredible. Maybe some of you know who he is. This is a "Trailer" / teaser, and I haven't seen the 'full-lenth' video.

I've been doing some reading about Pentecost, too. I will check those videos out later. Here is an article by Gary Stearman (of Prophecy Watchers) about Pentecost being a possible picture of the rapture: prophecywatchers.com/the-mystery-of-pentecost/(It's from 2015 when Pentecost was the 24th) Jack Kelley also thought that if the rapture were to happen on a feast day then Pentecost made the most sense. (I posted a link on a different thread, and can add it here later.) I know I was always taught that the giving of the Spirit fulfilled Pentecost. But when you read about Pentecost in Leviticus there is much more going on there and might suggest a further fulfillment. And why didn't Jesus stay until Pentecost? He could have left the same day the Spirit came. As I read somewhere-- Did He leave earlier because He personally was going to come and fulfill the feast? I hope it's this weekend, but if not, I keep watching. ETA: After posting, I clicked on your first link and see that it is a video by Gary Stearman which I had gotten about half way through yesterday.

The giving of the law was celebrated at Pentecost. The Mount Sinai trumpet was sounded by God. The trumpet at the Rapture is not sounded by an Angel but by God himself. The church was born on Pentecost. Just a speculation, but maybe it was not completely fulfilled. The church could be taken up to heaven at the Rapture at Pentecost. Pentecost is the only feast that has a direct reference to the body of Christ. The Book of Ruth is read on Pentecost by the Jews. Ruth and Boaz and Naomi can represent types and shadows .The story has been called the romance of redemption. Ruth is for the Gentile bride that stands for the church. With Naomi and the role of Israel. And Boaz is the role of the Messiah. Enoch was born on Pentecost and taken up on Pentecost. He was taken alive before the great flood can see as a pre-tribulation Rapture of the church. Read the Book of Solomon chapter 2 verse 10 through 13. My beloved speaks and says to me: “Arise, my love, my beautiful one, and come away, for behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. The fig tree ripens its figs, and the vines are in blossom; they give forth fragrance. Arise, my love, my beautiful one, and come away. - Song of Solomon 2:10-13 www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=SongofSolomon2:10-13&version=ESV The feast of penecost happens in the early summer. The Harvest in the summer can signifiy the catching away of the church. The wheat Harvest can signify the catching away of the church. The Judgment of the fruit trees can be a reference to the judgment seat of Christ once we are in heaven after the rapture. Read Micah 7 . An interesting coralation to the rapture. Micah 7:1-2 "Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grape gleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat; my soul desireth the first-ripe fig." "The godly man is perished out of the earth, and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net." The Jews stay up all night on Pentecost. The early church thought that the Rapture might be related to Pentecost being watchful and awake. The Revelation 12 sign + 50 days equals November 12th. Venus and Jupiter convergence. The 70-year connection. Israel's rebirth 1948 to 2018 is 70 years the time of a generation in the Bible. King David passed away on the Jewish month of Sivan 6 which is Pentecost. He lived to be 70 years.. the birth of Abraham to the abrahamic Covenant equals 70 years. I took these facts about penecost from different sources from articles on the internet by different people that I found interesting that I wanted to share. Please add your own findings to this thread..

Hello, Fellow watchmen,
I looked for a thread already started related to Pentecost in the directory and couldn't find anything. Thank you, brandon, and findtruth. findtruth - your post was amazing. I know there are a lot of parallels between the rapture and Yom Teruah/ Feast of Trumpets, but the parallels and striking connection/ and symbolism to Pentecost is amazing.
I continue to believe - even more so now, than ever before, that the rapture is connected with the feasts. I think you made the point, findtruth, - but we've long thought/ heard, been taught that Pentecost had already been fulfilled, but all the evidence from your post and Gary stearman shows that it was a partial fulfillment.
I really like what Pastor Steve Cioccolanti said recently, regarding all the discussion/ debate about rapture - whether Pre-Tribulation, or Mid-tribulation, or post-Tribulation, etc We all see through a glass dimly/ in part - from our own earthly perspective, but from God's eternal, kingdom perspective, we can both be right.
I think it was Charles Wesley who said that in God's infinite wisdom, there is no conflict between Calvinism and Wesleyanism - they both can exist and not contradict. We just can't get our minds around it - we have free will to choose to accept Christ, or reject him, and somehow, God draws us.
If it's not these two days, my faith in Christ, or his rapture will not be shaken, - i'll keep on praying and reading, and trying to point others to Christ he has put in our path. - My perspective has changed so so much. I've thought so much -- "Wow, it sure feels like labor pains, but it seemed like labor back in September, and maybe we'll all be here another 5 years. Plan as if Christ is coming back in 10 years, but be watching as if he's coming tomorrow. ;-) After 12 years of being in Poland, we now have to go back, and our hearts are torn. It was the saddest Easter ever, and yet I was feeling it was the last Easter. hmmmm. My heart also breaks for the people here so blinded by empty religion of Catholicism. At the very top of my "most wanted list" is Sebastian P. and Bartek B, a friend and also a judge. I hope and pray that God puts other people in their path, and that the Holy Spirit will continue to water the seeds planted.
I'll share the Gospel with Sebastian on Tuesday. It's very very sobering, thinking - knowing, I've got six weeks, and i'll never see most of these people again.
Ok, - I just had to share this with this watchmen community -- didn't mean to de-rail the thread. Come Lord, Jesus. Maranatha -

I've seen the question raised - When should we start counting 50 days to get to Pentecost? (and I know we have had the discussion here before) First, I am considering that the women came to the tomb early the first day of the week. "Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn..." Matt 28:1, the day after the Sabbath would be Firstfruits. This would then start the count to Pentecost. The first Sabbath after Passover was April 7. So, Firstfruits should have started April 8th. Lev 23:15 "And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering [Firstfruits]: seven Sabbaths shall be completed." This would be April 14, 21, 28, May 5, 12, 19, and 26. Lev 23:16 "Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the LORD." The seventh Sabbath ends sundown May 26th; the day after is the 27th. The date which is also proposed in the video D4L posted with all the math (math is not my favorite. ) So, I think we need to be counting from a Sunday, not a Tuesday as Torahcalendar proposes for this year, although much of what I have read has the count beginning the second day after Passover. Maybe someone can explain why.

I don't get at all why the guy was proposing May 27th as the "real Pentecost". I'm not even a "math geek" but I don't see any logic or scenario of how he gets this date. Much of the confusion down through the years - that has corrupted protestant Christianity is the hatred of everything Jewish by the Catholics - and thus the total lack of understanding of Jewish Sabbaths. They (and the vast majority of Christians) don't know/ understand that Sabbath/ and Feasts are the same. Jewish feasts are Shabbat. One word for weekly Sabbath and high Sabbath - feast of Unleavened bread. Christ, died on Passover - Not a Sabbath- and was our Passover lamb, - watch this - This day was explicitly given in Scripture - Nisan 14. Feast of Unleavened Bread - Christ was buried just before the High Sabbath of Unleavened Bread. This day was explicitly given Nisan 15th. They rested on the Sabbath - Thursday. After the Sabbath had passed _ ***Feast of unleavened Bread [High Sabbath - no work could be done - no buying spices, and no preparing the body, etc] The women bought more spices - about 100 lbs total. Then, they rested on the Weekly Sabbath - Friday sundown to Saturday Sundown. ***This day is always the first day after the Weekly Sabbath, and notice that there is no day given. It's not a moving feast like Passover, or Feast of Unleavened Bread. It is always on the first day of the week. ;-) So many erroneously think Passover was 50 days after the crucifixion. but it is 50 days inclusive counting, - and that is why Pentecost is always on a Sunday, even when Passover is Wednesday or Thursday.
In light of all the converging signs, and the 70 yr anniversary, I don't see any scenario that we are still here next Pentecost, and the boiling tension between Iran/ Syria and Isreal.
Imho, it means our next high watch date is Feast of Trumpets - I still believe firmly that the Feasts are the key/ "Shadow of things to come" but I'm not dogmatic. In light of the fact that the tribulation is the time of Jacob's trouble - for the Jews, and those who reject the messiah - I believe that this is how he provokes the Jews to jealousy - when he takes his Gentile bride, on a Jewish Feast day.
Doesn't that just burn your bagel. ;-)
With all my love and gratitude to my watchmen family Disciple4life

However, it seems that Torahcalendar.com counts the first sabbath after Passover, April 7, as inclusive which takes us to May 20, and this where the world celebrated it (though they had Pentecost on Tuesday? It must fall on a Sunday!). The calendars continue to befuddle me! But I totally agree with your counting...it starts after the first sabbath after Passover. May 27 is the 50th day.

As a kid and young person and having been raised in Christian home, there was a complete absence of any education about God's Appointed times. God has been demonstrating His Plan for mankind from the start, and we learn so much by watching what happens to a Called people who disobey this Call of God, and too, the glory when they act in Faith... When I began to learn more about these Feasts/appointed times it opened up the Bible in a more intimate way. Today it is very difficult for me to embrace the secular/pagen celebration of Easter. I look to when Passover is and go from there. It would a valiant thing for a Christian denomination to switch gears and start celebrating the Greatest Hope ever at the appropriate Time, and dump this Easter tradition whose roots are of pagen nature. It is for this misallignment and subduing of these truths that I feel the Churches are in for their own rude awakening and "provoking to jealousy". I know I know, its the profession of Faith in Jesus that saves...yet we shall see what happens to those who have mishandled Christianity..
and d4l said this: AMEN!
There is going to have to be some way that they or anyone knows that it is a rapture event by God and not alien abduction, or even so, I don't forsee an immediate understanding of what happened while the enemies around have free reign once many a Christian leader/protector or supporter of the Jews is missing. I recall Jonathan Cahn's book the Harbinger and Isaiah 9:10 and 11:
10“The bricks have fallen down,
But we will rebuild with smooth stones;
The sycamores have been cut down,
But we will replace them with cedars.”
11Therefore the LORD raises against them adversaries from Rezin
And spurs their enemies on,
Ah the selfishness and pride that grows when we follow our own desires! It is not going to be pretty.

I too am confused by the calendars! However, I think that God would not have made it hard to determine His feast days. I tend to think that in Scripture a feast day is a feast day and a Sabbath is a Sabbath (even though a feast day is a day of rest). disciple4life Thank you for your post! I too do not think we will still be here next Pentecost. Too much is happening, and it's only accelerating. I've been watching such a short time compared to others, but in the past 7 years or so I have seen it accelerate. I believe we are going Home soon. Can't wait to meet you all and worship our Savior in person.

Here's just another interesting thing I will add to this thread.
From the eclipse on Aug 21st to May 27th (inclusive) is 280 days or 40 weeks. I looked up what the earliest is that a baby can be seen on ultrasound and found it to be 32-35 days. From Aug 21st to the sign on Sept 23 it is 34 days (inclusive). It may mean nothing, but I found it interesting none the less.

Daniel Matson had an interesting facebook post this morning. As most here know, he's had lots of interesting numbers and charts pointing to different dates. I find most of his charts too complicated, and I get lost trying to sort it all out. But today's was simple enough: I hope you can click on that to make it bigger. A day for watching for sure, and if it's not the rapture it is still such an amazing time to be alive. All glory to Him!
