The Great Sign marks, without a doubt in my mind, at the very least, the beginning of fulfillment of Revelation prophecies. It is incredible to witness it, and I wish God would remove this mud I have in my brain that keeps me from being as thrilled as I should be about it. I feel like I've won the lottery and my reaction is rather apathetic.
Third, I realize there are a lot of numbers that point towards certain days, etc., but I think maybe we need to step back (a few weeks from now especially, if we are still here), and start looking *only* at the celestial signs. God put the stars in place for several reasons, and I believe one of those reasons is because satan cannot mess with those. The evil one has been at work for 6000 years now, and his roots into the minds of man are very very deep. Earthly events, whether they be social, political, historical, etc. all have the potential to have been manipulative constructs designed to throw us off the trail.
Blood moons we cannot look away from, and I'll note that I left geological events off that list. I do not know that the devil has *that* much control over the earth, and some of he geological events are so profoundly aligned with Blood moons that if you present just that data to someone who does not believe, it challenges them to consider that maybe God *does* exist. *That* sort of thing is not what satan would do. One might say that the same could apply to social/political events, but I have to disagree there. If I was the enemy, I would cause things to happen to fool believers into thinking the big day was upon them, only to snatch it away at the last minute (like Lucy with the foot ball and Charlie Brown).
All that said, I hope you are right. I'm tired of being reminded of Romans chapter 7. I'm tired of being stuck here in the mud (meaning inside the veil, or on this side of the veil). I want to see justice done. I want to see Jesus, even if He says "well done, good and faithful servant." with a hint of "I'm only saying this because you just barely made the grade." in His voice (not that He would, but ..long story).
I also know that if we're still on like.. June 1st or whatever, that things will organize somewhere down the road to reveal the truth that we somehow missed. Just have to keep watching.
But i'm not thrilled for it, i know i should be because my redemption is drawing nigh. Apprehensive? Is that the right word?

It's like waiting to have a root canal. You know after a couple trips, you'll have a good tooth again. But it might be uncomfortable in the short term. I'm anxious and fearful that something bad or unpleasant is about to happen. I'm so sure of it that if something doesn't happen, maybe i'll need some sort of psychiatric help? Maybe i do right now, i don't know.
I spent Friday loading up some more supplies. A fresh tank of propane. A large grain mill came in the mail from a home brew supply. It's the hand crank style that clamps to the table. We always kept a barrel of dried corn to feed the squirrels. I filled it up with a fresh trip to the farmer's store. I figured out i can grind the dried whole corn and make pan cooked corn bread over the backyard rocket stove.
I'm watching this video. This woman i've never seen before seems to be frantically debunking the possibility that anything can happen on this Passover/Easter weekend. She's giving three reasons. Every time she brings up a point it's like i'm being hit in the gut. It's because i think everything she says, all the points she makes, have just already happened, but it's not the things that she thinks they are. She needs to take one of the red pills. If you've got 11 minutes to spare it's kind of funny to watch. She's a close talker though, face to the screen. And then watch some of her again with the sound turned down about half ways through. Put it on full screen, i dare you. At about 5:29 she slides her chair even closer to the screen. She gets herself animated.
She's talking about Thessalonians, Paul's man of sin taking his seat. I'd hate to tell her that it happened already a couple summers ago. If i'm right, we are way way closer to something big happening. If i'm right, Paul was drawing from Isaiah 14, Daniel 8 and Matthew 23. The "daily" is something taken away from Him, from Jesus, by reason of transgression, in the Place of HIS Sanctuary. The Abomination IS the Transgression of desolation and probably deserves a page of it's own. I'd like to see her try to find Matthew's Abomination of desolation in the book of Revelation.

"It even magnified itself to be equal with the Commander of the host;

Matthew 23
“The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat,
2 Thessalonians 2
"so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.

"so that he sets himself up in God's temple,
"So he will seat himself in the temple of God,
He will "seat himself".
In Matthew 23, Jesus said:
"The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat"
"The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the chair of Moses"
They have "seated themselves".
God didn't give the scribes and Pharisees the seat, they took it. They seated themselves.
Moses was the teacher of the Law, the Word of God. He was long gone when Jesus said this so the Scribes and the Pharisees had really just taken over Moses' job or his "seat", which was Moses' seat of authority in the Temple of God.
Our end time Antichrist, Paul's "man" of sin, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, has attempted to take over God's job by influencing the shift in morality and the trend in increased lawlessness. "Anti" can also mean "in place of".
God said: "Remember the Sabbath","You shall not murder", "You shall not commit adultery" and "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination".
Man of Sin says: You can forget about the Sabbath, legalize pornography, legalize abortion, legalize same sex marriage and feel free to have a gender modification.
When the Man of Sin seeks to change these specific times and these particular Laws, he by default, has magnified himself above all that is called God or is worshiped and has set himself up in God's "seat" of authority in God's Temple thereby claiming to BE God.
And i don't think Lucifer physically rises back up to the place of His sanctuary in Heaven's Temple to take away the "daily" from Jesus in a direct confrontation. This is more like their sins have reached up to heaven. Or more like in the days of the Sodomites: “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great and their sin is very grave, I will go down to see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry that has come to me. And if not, I will know.”
The point comes where the rebellion reaches to those who dwell in Heaven. The Prince of the power of the air has taken enough of the population as hostage, and they have reached a limit that is recognized by God.
"Worship" comes from the word "proskuneo" and can also mean to "submit to" or "to obey". And he has been at work on this for a long time using various human agents but make no mistake it has been the Dragon's hand inside the glove.
I know that this is a stressful subject for most to confront, i don't even like talking about the dragon because i think his composite beast is watching. I'm just thinking out loud here but I'm thinking that this is where we are right now with our end time Antichrist. His 42 months of authority has begun but he's in a predicament. He can't be revealed until the 5th trumpet, so he's been working continuously and as fast as he can behind the scenes to cause the rebellion to reach and exceed it's limit.
"And at the latter end of their kingdom,
when the transgressors have reached their limit,
a king of bold face, one who understands riddles, shall arise.
Think of it like the "abomination that makes desolate" is when the "transgressors have reached their limit". Notice a Divine "limit to transgression", it's the kingdom of the transgressors not the kingdom of the 4 horns anymore. This is not talking about a specific nation or earthly kingdom, but instead is referring to the prevailing number or group of world wide transgressing individuals. This is the equivalent to Revelation's "great city" where our Lord was crucified. This is a spiritual kingdom of evil peoples, not a geographical location. It's the wicked crowd that was out of control shouting: "crucify Him".
Are we now living at the latter end of the kingdom of the transgressors when they have reached and exceeded their "limit". Is it a particular transgression itself that makes desolate like the last straw and this causes the "taking away of the daily" by Jesus in Heaven's Temple that starts our tribulation clock?
This is how he is able to rise up to the Prince of the Host, to the Place of His Sanctuary. He knows the sooner he completes this task the sooner that the sudden destruction will fall from Heaven which will enable his debut. He is trying to get the censer cast down from Revelation 8. Is this how he CAUSES the fire to fall from Heaven in the presence of men? Through influencing the "falling away" or the "rebellion" on Earth he provokes the initial outbreak of God's Wrath in the form of the first trumpet.
And I do believe he has ultimately been successful in the setting up of the abomination of desolation. But I can't see him slowing his pace even until the day that he finally causes fire to fall from Heaven in the sight of men.
He must surely be aware that the fallout from the first four trumpets will not only be the catalyst for enabling all the world to wander after the beast but also for the beast's mark, the formation of the ten kingdoms and all of the other unfathomable events in Revelation's narrative. Because of the signs that he is given power to do on behalf of the composite beast.
At the sounding of the 5th trumpet Satan will be allowed to manifest himself in our visible realm again as he once did back in the days of old. The abyss will be open for a very short time prior to the second coming. He once was (visible), now is not (visible) and will become (visible) again and go to his destruction. Because of the signs that he is given power to do on behalf of the composite beast. Because of his causing the first four trumpets to fall, he will deceive the world. He would use these judgements from God as the reason to coerce the world into doing what he wants.
The majority of the people all over the world will do whatever he tells them to do. All those whose' names have NOT been written in the Lambs Book of life. He will tell the world to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lives. This "image" will be a carbon copy of the church and state entity that persecuted God's People during the middle ages but this time it will be on a global scale.
I don't think he's going to make a peace treaty. I think he is going to rise up from the United States, claim to be God, demand worship and without warning kill one third of mankind. Blood and fire and columns of smoke. A third of the trees and all the green grass. Like the day Lot left out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. So shall it be on the day that the Son of Man is revealed.
Revealed through His actions, and not yet the second coming itself ?
"Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them.
Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you,
having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
He hath but a short time.
It's the same word "kairós", that's translated as "time" from verse 14 that is thought to mean a year, time, times and half a time.
Can it be said that he hath but a short "year", but a short "kairós".
"For the LORD has a day of vengeance,
a YEAR of recompense for the cause of Zion.
