mike, @silentknight, disciple4life - I have thoroughly enjoyed this discussion and have gleaned a whole lot from it. Thank you brothers for your inputs and I hope others on this forum see this discussion and glean from it also. I also hope we will get to see more of SK's thread on "Hearing God" as I believe it will benefit us greatly as well. I am so thankful for the redemptive work of our most loving God and can't wait to be with Jesus and all of you very soon! Maranatha!

MikeTaft ok I understand now. Actually disciple4life had the same question I had. You quoted verses from Revelation so in that context they are for the millennium, but D4L covered it and responded, no need for me to restate. Thanks for clarifying

One thought I've had regarding the subject of healing is that, while the Lord does miraculous things among us all today as we pray and use the gifts He's given us through the Holy Spirit in His name, it seems to me that His words in John 14:12-14 are going to be at their fullness of fulfillment once we are in our resurrection bodies and going about His work during the Millennial Reign.
The passage says, "Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it."
Another passage, Mark 16:17-18, says, "And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
I know that all of these types of miraculous things are frequently seen today as the Holy Spirit works through believers, and yet it seems to me that these types of miracles will be at their fullness during the Millennial Reign. Can you imagine the work we might be doing for the Lord at that time? Healing people who've suffered the Tribulation period... Speaking languages of all the world and of heaven itself... Driving out the Enemy as we follow the Lord to Earth on white horses... Having bodies that cannot be harmed if humans under the Lord's rule decide they want to rebel... Dealing with animals that would normally be dangerous to us...
It all sounds so very exciting to me! I can't wait to be there!

My humble account.
I have been healed from ulcerative colitis. I was prescribed Prednisone atone point, my bowels were bleeding badly. I Never used it, instead I went straight for prayer. A year after receiving first prayer (and receiving regular prayer since then) I was completely free from any inflammation. And free ever since. But it was a battle in prayer.every time during that year that I felt any symptom, I contacted my prayer group and we prayed.
I have seen the holy spirit heal many through the laying on of hands through instant healing. True miracles. Through my own hands and through those of brothers and sisters. I have also seen some cases where healing didn't manifest immediately. I believe strongly however that continued prayer will make the difference. Unfortunately, people don't often want to give it that time.
I have seen unbelievers and believers get healed.of all religions. Because healing in these cases is a sign!
The power of God is very real, but we shouldn't give up if at first we don't see it. I like very much the teaching of Torben Sondergaard and Curry Blake. They help to equip the body of Christ to cast out demons and heal the sick.
I've written a blog about some of my own experiences. I don't build doctrine out of my experiences but they do show that the holy spirit is unlimited if only we dare to step out in Jesus name as Jesus commanded. It's been a wonderful walk so far and I'm still learning lots with ups and downs, successes and (what feels like) failures. Never have I blamed a non healing on a recipient of healing prayer. Rather I blame myself or I recognize that more prayer is needed as in my own situation of colitis. But perseverance is key. God IS willing.

It is an area we can all grow in! So don't let any one experience or person or doctrine rob you of the wonderful work of the holy spirit in this area! We are to cast out devils and heal the sick. Holy spirit will teach if you are willing to obey Jesus. Yes it scary to step out at first. Your ego may get bruised a few times when you don't see an immediate result, but once you get a breakthrough, your faith level will soar and holy spirit can work through you despite and without your limitations!
