I was a relative late comer to end time watching, starting around 2 years ago. At the time there was a lot of stuff around about Obama being the AC and being new to the scene I bought into it without realising that he didn't fit certain requirements around heritage and the fact that the AC would only be unveiled after we're gone. The major argument for Obama seemed to be thus. 1. Obama received a Nobel Peace Prize in October 2009 despite doing nothing to merit it. 2. Therefore this was a contract for him to act as the world's peacemaker for the next seven years (which assumed he would get in again in 2012). 3. 1260 days after receiving the prize Obama was present in the Holy of Holies, fulfilling AC prophecy. However there had been no rapture, obviously no tribulation starting (for those who believed in mid or post-trib), no two witnesses, 144000, no one world government/religion and no Jesus coming back. The 1260 days may not be coincedental but if anything it's just a foreshadowing of the AC. There was speculation that Obama would manufacture a crisis in late 2016 or the rapture would happen allowing him to declare martial law, of course none of that happened. I saw Youtube videos with various theories, one African American woman claimed she was pro-Obama then God told her he was the AC and gave her a vision to confirm. There was also one about Obama and Pope Francis bringing about the End of Days as the AC who would hold on to power for 2017 and the false prophet (who I still believe is the Pope). But I think the theory of Obama being the AC can be wiped out. The other widely discussed possibility is that he is Gog of Ezekiel which I currently believe. There has been some talk of that for years, I think it's largely by Jews who see some sort of code in Ezekiel referring to the ongoing unpleasantness between Obama and Netanyahu. Don't understand the reasoning at all (some others here may know something). But the interesting thing is that 2 years ago (I think to the day) a 15 year old secular Jewish boy died and came back to life, claiming to have met God in the process. Some things about a near future attack on Israel were allegedly revealed to him and he claimed the attack would be orchestrated by Gog who he identified as Obama. As I said he was secular, probably had never opened a Bible or Torah and had almost certainly never heard the name Gog which made it much more interesting than if it had been some theologian or preacher claiming to meet God and just confirmed what he had already been saying. I know these sorts of visions shouldn't be taken as gospel but it is interesting that this boy claimed the same thing as these scholars have said for years. If the rapture happens Obama could be president again with Pence definitely gone and Trump possibly gone (or safely impeached on "trumped" up charges with Pence out of the way) which would give him a central role for the dark side again and he could definitely fulfill Gog. May not be the case but at the least I think he definitely had a role in ushering in the end of days by bringing the country past the point of no return.

I too am suspicious we haven't seen the last of President Obama. The U.N. Secretary General is I'm told a practicing Catholic. He may be saved and raptured, leaving a vacancy.

I'm personally doubtful of Catholics being true Christians. I'm pretty sure the rapture isn't part of their doctrine and they have innumerable other problems, the biggest being their doctrine around Mary and grace alone being insufficient (though some do claim that it is). I think if anyone is saved in the Catholic church they would definitely have to be a borderline, sceptical Catholic rather than someone who would be considered acceptable by the Vatican. I understand that views on Catholics vary but I guess we'll see one way or the other very soon. It seems that Obama is likely a key figure in the current Trump resistance and I think it would be easy for him to step back in as president when Pence is gone, Trump if still here would likely be impeached soon enough because I believe the main obstacle for them at the moment is the fear of Pence. Not saying "Thus saith the Lord" just sharing my suspicions.

I personally believe Gog and the AC are the same person based on a specific verse in Ezekiel 38 and the timing of the destruction in Ezekiel 39, but we don't need to get into that here. The Bible just says the AC won't be "revealed" until after the "falling away" (I believe that refers to the rapture). Being revealed could simply mean rising up in status on the world stage all of a sudden, capturing the hearts of people, and other beginning to take over, but this doesn't necessarily mean the AC wouldn't be somebody we already know . However, then you have this issue with his name being the number of man, 666, so it seems like we could evaluate current people based on that. I think the clincher though for the AC are all the references to him in the Old Testament, namely "The Assyrian" but there are others as well. This really seems to indicate he will come from the Middle East area and maybe even identify as "Assyrian." He could be a Kurd.

I'm leaning with Missusmack on this one. He would likely be on the scene long before the Tribulation. There is scripture that gives evidence that he will be Jewish, and extra Biblical evidence as well. The Jews are so legalistic on the letter of the law. They are training priests to serve in the 3rd Temple and they have strict rules that they have to be in the tribe of Levi. They have rabbis that come to farms in the US to inspect pure-bred red heifers for breeding. If they have 2 white or black hairs - they are disqualified. Kapooot. Finito. They won't accept a non-Jew in a 1000 years. If you think about the number of the man being 666 - Jared Kushner is a strong candidate -- Jewish - Incredibly rich and powerful family, his name is known around the world ****And he bought the building in Manhatten 666. hmmmmm.. www.eutimes.net/2017/04/president-kushner-owns-666-building-where-the-mark-of-the-beast-chip-is-developed/

It just happens that in the 666 building, (owned by one of the richest and most powerful Jewish families in the world, closest advisor to President Trump) is Lucent Technology, which makes the RFID chip. Microchips. Pure coincidence, no doubt. These microchips are already in place, currently being used by a company in Michigan and also another company in Sweden. Nothing to see here - folks. They have assured people that they don't /won't use these in conjunction with GPS/ global tracking - though the identical technology is used for your pets - to locate them.

We are saved in Jesus Christ! Because of this, many people of whatever denomination are truly saved. It is a condition of the heart, that is between and individual person and Jesus. This is why no man can judge. HE saves us! Not any church.

disciple4life... There is an article someplace about Kushner and his ties to the mystic/Kabbalah end of Judiasm. In that he had met with one of the leaders on several occasions. I have some exposure to this through my former sister in law. They lived in Brooklyn and my recollection was the same Rabbi. This same group (cult) frequent the grave of Rabbe Schnerson (sp?) who was believed to possibly be the Messiah by many. They go to him offering prayer for guidance and direction in decisions. At least that's what she did a few times back in the early 2000's

Obama does too though. So, I don't know. I guess we will see eventually! (short post) LOL Ha, ha!

I understood from the grammatical context of Galen's post to mean, "If there is/are people who are truly born again who attend [in the Catholic church] - (not 'cultural Catholics' like we have in Poland,) then these people will be skeptical of the teachings." It didn't strike me at all that he was implying we are saved by any church - rather referring to the people within that church - who attend. ;-) blessings

Calling yourself a christian or going to church no more makes you saved than going into a chicken house makes you a chicken, of course your free to call yourself a chicken if the claw fits.

I'm sorry. I don't mean to come across as judgmental, not to Galen, not to you, not to anyone. I am very sorry to come across that way. I guess the main thing that I think is; I agree with MissusMack and that the final "falling away" will be The Rapture. At this time, ALL who follow Jesus will be caught up to God's Throne. There will not be one single person on the earth who has a genuine, saving relationship with Him. I can't even fathom it and am SO GLAD I will not be there to see that. Tragic doesn't even begin to describe what the state of the earth will be. In addition though, I believe that for probably hundreds of years now, maybe even more, that there has been a gradual falling away. Not for unbelievers. But for those who do believe, God's brick and mortar Church. Whatever denomination, you name it, it is fallen away. It's to the point where me personally, I do not attend any brick and mortar church at all. I have tried, and I can discern (or I can't but The Holy Spirit in me can) what is good and what is not good. But to be brutally honest, and I hate that it is like this... but every single church I have gone to, it is like there is ZERO good to "take in". Seriously 99% of it is all bad, all false, all lies. And I don't want, especially for my children, even my older children, even my husband... who... again I am not trying to judge their hearts and so I don't know how to properly say it and no matter what way I say it, seems like I'm judging... but I guess, it is that by their daily fruit... I don't believe that they are as matured in their relationship with Jesus as I am (this is not me saying I am so great, I am perfect like Jesus, and stuff like that because I am not and I ask God to kill my pride and to kill my flesh every day). But, I don't want their heads being filled with all the confusing false doctrine of "man" that is the brick and mortar church. And so, we don't go, and only since this past September we have what we call Bible Study and Family Time, every day. And for me, I learn so much more just by being alone with Him, by asking Him to explain and to teach to me direct (verses going to a physical church), I come here to this forum for fellowship, and there are a few I like to watch on youtube which I watch on a regular basis. Not that they know everything, no one does, and I don't either. Just my opinion, but there is more like 90% good teaching coming from them and maybe 10% to leave. Verses the church buildings I've attended which is like... 1% good teaching and 99% bad teaching and so when I go I hear the constant outpouring of, pretty much "crap", and it makes me mad and causes me to defer to my flesh (sin), and personally I think a complete waste of time because the Building called Church has already completely fallen away. Whenever people talk like what I responded to that Galen wrote... I get concerned... and worry for the person... because I think that it is possible they are in error and believing too much in physical church building (any denomination), instead of solely in Jesus. Or, from what Galen wrote, believing that everyone who goes to Catholic church building, that because of that they are not saved. I love all people so much! I really do, not just saying that, and I really feel it in my Spirit. And I want for them to know Jesus! I know this is not something I can do for them. But I can speak up when I see that a person may be putting to much of their faith in something else (church building, church denominations, individual people such as celebrities or pastors, politics and political figures, dates, signs, etc...). I try to speak up with love, but since I am fallen myself with many planks in my own eyes, it doesn't always come out right. I'm sorry for that: to Galen, to you, and to anyone that maybe I have offended and I didn't even realize it. Edit to say: I don't think that attending brick and mortar church is wrong. Many attend and are saved! My not attending, it is my own personal decision. But by no means am I telling everyone else, do not attend church. Absolutely, if you have a church you attend and enjoy... keep going! Just remember that it is not that church that saves you, but Jesus.
