A recent thread got me thinking again about how life will be for us after we go to heaven. We know that angels are ministering spirits and that they sometimes watch over us, according to God's will.
I know that some people mistakenly believe that we get turned into angels after we die (or think our loved ones watching over them as an angel), but I wonder if some of that is a misunderstanding of how we will interact with angels after we go to heaven, or during the millennial kingdom, or even in the eternal state.
I know that some angels always stay before the throne of God, but others get sent out to do His will. I think it's possible we will have a regular group of angels that we work with. Which will possibly include angels that watched over us on earth. I have had at least one experience where I feel fairly certain that I met an angel in disguise, and would love to talk with said angel.
Satan will be released for a little while at the end of the millennial kingdom and go out to deceive the nations once more. So I wonder if a contingent of angels (maybe led by the archangel Michael) will be preparing for that.
Maybe many angels will continue their ministry to those who will inherit salvation (those in the millennial kingdom who missed the rapture and are not yet glorified). Maybe we'll be going about our duties in the millennial kingdom and see angels quietly guarding or ministering to people (since our eyes will be able to see the spiritual realm) and we'll get to see the ministry of angels (that they do in the here and now) and how that continues.
I think angels will still be operating in an unseen way, to those who are not yet glorified. Otherwise, seeing them would be too fearful for regular people (every appearance of an angel in scripture seems to begin with "fear not") or people would be tempted to worship them (even the apostle John tried to worship an angel at least twice during his vision in Revelation).
It's interesting stuff to speculate about.
Hebrews 1:14 King James Version (KJV)
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

Acts 12:12-15 King James Version (KJV)
12 And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.
13 And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda.
14 And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate.
15 And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel.

Hebrews 13:2 King James Version (KJV)
2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Matthew 18:10 King James Version (KJV)
10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
