Denial of the rapture after it happens

I tend to think that if the rapture happens at the sixth seal, that the earthquake is going to hide the fact that a lot of people are missing. Think about an earthquake all over the world, massive numbers of buildings falling, volcanoes caused by the quakes erupting and covering up vast sections of land (and probably obliterating many islands). This will be such a huge catastrophe on the whole earth, that people are going to be so focused on the very basics of survival that no one is going to be digging through the rubble trying to count victims. I tend to think that this is going to hide how many people are missing, and misdirect the reason for it in people's minds. Governments all over the world will be devastated. Communications will probably be devastated for awhile. I don't think they'll need to shut the internet down, as it will probably already be down for a good while.
