Will become Hurricane Nate As a Texas gulf coast resident who went through Hurricane Harvey recently, I am praying that God intervenes and causes this storm to dissipate. Barring a miracle, this will be bad storm and once it gets into the Gulf of Mexico there is no chance for it to avoid hitting land along the Gulf coast. the same region that has already gone through Harvey and Irma this season. Hurricanes are not a new phenomenon but the size, frequency, and rapid development of them this year have been truly startlingly. Please pray for this region and that God spare everyone from more catastrophic damage

Getting close to time to create a separate thread just for Nate.

Wow, that's a fascinating video, MissusMack08. That extra bit of information at the end, though, about a pulse coming from Antarctica really got my attention. He shows Brazil's beaches drying up again on the same day as the pulse. I'm wondering how much of this is a "natural" phenomena, and how much of it is induced. Antarctica is basically secret military bases and research centers. This makes me wonder what they are really doing down there. There are a lot of videos and conspiracy theories about geoengineering and HAARP which some people believe are causing a lot of these weather anomalies. It strikes me that Scripture doesn't say God causes these anomalies, just that they will occur in the last days. Food for thought.

Here's a guy who explains what he believes those wave anomalies are—poor data. It makes sense to me, but he's pretty disparaging to mrmbb333 and others who think they are something. I don't know how long this debate has been going on, why the others think they mean something, or what they think they are. I'm posting this video, but I don't want anyone to think "I'm choosing sides" or anything like that, in case this turns out to be a sensitive topic that I'm ignorant of. Just be informed that there is some debate about these things and try your best to understand what's being said, if it matters to you.

Very interesting. The part about the Alaska quake in 1964, he said that wells went dry near van Wert Ohio. I am from near there and if I remember right, our well did something too. No one knew what was going on. Wait, wells went dry in Ohio when there was a huge Earthquake in Alaska? That earthquake was devastating.

I wonder if Ireland gets many hurricanes...
"...Storms dont strengthen in cooler waters..." - logical conclusion - the waters are warmer than being reported; or the hypothesis is incorrect: water temperatures do not contribute they way they think they do.

The last time Ireland had a tropical storm was in 1961, if this makes landfall as a hurricane we'll just add that to the list of record breaking weather phenomena this year.

The National Hurricane Center is now calling it Post Tropical Cyclone Ophelia and is showing the winds have dropped to 85 mph and expected to weaken before landfall. We shall see.

He's definitely right about Oregon. It's been pouring all day and is forecast to continue for the next week. That's pretty normal this time of year, though. What is really amazing, though, is the 2nd tropical storm pointed at Ireland and the big typhoon pointed at Japan. Another hit on the Fukishima nuclear plant is definitely worrisome.

Unfortunately I was there when Fukushima blew. Not at the site, lol, but in Atsugi, Japan when that all went down. Most of the damage has already been done by Fukushima as tons of radioactive waste water has seeped into the Pacific. Depending on the track the storm surge probably won't even break the sea wall on the coast of Japan. But, God can always prove me wrong.
