I kid you not.
My child just woke up from a nap exclaiming, "Mommy! What's that sound? What's that sound?!?"
I rushed in. I don't hear anything, so I pick her up. She keeps saying, "What's that sound? I hear it in my ears!"
I ask her what she is hearing but she doesn't answer. I ask, "was it a pop? Like this? (Made a popping sound)." No, she says. I ask, was it like "this" and I make a low humming sound. No, she says. I ask if she can make the sound with her mouth.
Instead of making the sound, she says, "it was a trumpet."
"A trumpet?" I ask. "Where did you hear a trumpet?"
She points to the ceiling, "in the sky!" she exclaims.
At this point, daddy comes in to figure out what all the commotion is. I say, "I came in because she was saying she could hear something." He goes through all the questions again with her. She gives the same answers.
Then she says, "You hear it? You have ears to hear." ..............
Now, I can't swear she's never heard me talk about the rapture to someone else, but I've never explained any of it to her, what to expect, none of that. She most certainly has never heard the phrase "if you have ears to hear..." She's two.

Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings. Amen, amen!
What did your husband say?

Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings. Amen, amen! What did your husband say? He's trying to find a way to explain it away. "She must've heard you talking about it..." Which is possible. I just said, "there's no way she knows the verse, "he who has ears to hear..." Why did she say it exactly like that? I also told him about my "teshuvah" moment a few hours earlier from this. unsealed.boards.net/thread/763/coming-soon?page=2&scrollTo=9779I'm just hoping things start piling up on him.

That's a wonderful story! If we're telling stories from the little ones, I have one for you too-- My daughter is a strong believer who's looking forward to going home. She has a godchild who comes from a family of non-believers (religious to a point, but not saved by their own admission.) The little one is talking but not much-- mostly one or two word phrases-- two years old last June. My daughter doesn't see her much but she's mighty attached. She has never talked to her about Jesus or other matters at all. But, she did ask the Lord if the little one could come with us when we go. About two weekends back, my daughter babysat and she and her family went to the park. After everyone else went on ahead, my daughter is holding her up close and says, "So Laura, are you ready to go to Jerusalem?" She said the little one looked my daughter straight in the eye, patted my daughter's shirt to make sure she had her full attention and said, "Fly!" Can't tell me she isn't going with us

So now I'm really listening to things my kid says... not that it necessarily means anything, but I asked her if she wanted to play outside today. She said, "No, because a storm is coming." I reassured her that there was no storm and she could play outside, but nope, she insisted a storm is coming and she doesn't want to play outside. (We can have some pretty terrifying electrical storms and monsoon downpours).
Again, not that that necessarily means anything. Kids say crazy stuff all the time. My kid however can *usually* be reasoned with to an extent, but I couldn't convince her that she'd be safe to play outside right now. But it caught my attention.

So instead, PRAISE THE LORD!!!
