Hi All,

Well the Lord is truly in control over here at our little ranch. Mom wasn't feeling good this weekend. It had been going on for awhile actually. So Monday we went in and they did a cat scan to see what was going on in her abdomen. That was where the pain was. Turns out she has diverticulitis.

However, they discovered something else. A tumor on her kidney. There is a chance this is a cancerous tumor. We will be consulting with the nephrologist soon. The doc today says that this is typical of how they find kidney cancer. Usually the person comes in for something completely unrelated. Thank God she was struck with this gut thing as we were able to see this tumor thing. It appears small enough that surgery could be done pretty strait forward...

We just need some prayers for the diverticulitis. It is wearing her out. the medications are working but not fast enough. She is tired a lot. Our spirits are good overall and we are kidding around about scheduling the surgery for the 23rd, or at least that following week. She said she could be one of those patients who disappears on the surgery table just as they are about to cut her open... In general we truly think we won't be here long enough for cancer to take her home. I am hoping and praying for that for sure!

We thank you all for the prayers. Mom has had positive response to A/B for the diverticulitis, pain gone. Gotta do a battery change in her Ticker, next week, then pull the plumbing of the left kidney on 9/27, should the Lord tarry. Certainly prophetic times has distracted us from our own miseries...Praise Jesus for that!

Hi Everyone!, so we were hoping not to be around here this week, but so it is. And, mom has left for Billings to have her kidney removed tomorrow. My sister flew in to take here since I have been gone all weekend, and have caretaking duties for another friend's livestock now, otherwise would be with her too. Need good old fashion prayers for my mom to remain calm, think Jesus, trust in the doctors, and the doctors having confidence for her, and fast healing! We are not sure if this is cancer, tho it is likley, but usually kidney cancer is "curable" thru surgery...

UPDATE: Mom had her surgery yesterday. The procedure went faster than expected. The kidney was cancerous, but contained, and not the kind that travels down the ureters. So no treatments needed..whew!

Thank you all for the prayers! I am certain they were answered! She will be coming home tomorrow already. ..the first thing she asked me today was "What's going on at Unsealed?" And I told her about FoA...and stuff that I could remember reading last night at 1 am...when I can't sleep I come here and then I stay awake for a few more hours...its not supposed to work that way..lol!

Praise the Lord and His mercy on mom Thank You Jesus. The Lord has blessed mom, but also me and my husband and our trip, and recently found out my sister found a house just in time..We are all watchers...so to me the blessings seem connected to this..

Praying for your mom, barbiosheepgirl. I'm so glad she needs no further treatment and that it was contained to the kidney. Will continue to pray for a quick and speedy recovery for her, and that Jesus just comfort her, make her aware of His Presence every moment of every day. She is in His Arms for sure and He is already and will continue taking excellent care of her!
