I am praying more about this. I'm not clear about our role, but I can definitely pray for more clarity and for the battle. I believe I was actually praying about this the other day before I saw this thread.
Now here's something I've been holding out about, and haven't shared yet. Now may be the time to share it--I don't know the exact meaning.
Another watchman, who wishes to be anonymous about this subject, shared with me that the Greek words in Revelation 12 show that the 1/3 of the stars that were dragged by the tail of the dragon and cast down to earth by satan, EVIDENTLY may be dragged AGAINST their will, and cast down to earth AGAINST their will. I checked out the Greek words in Strong's (not being a Greek expert myself) and studying other passages where these Greek words are used, and I can definitely see how these words for "dragged" and "cast down" do seem to be words that imply that that these stars (angels) are compelled against their will.
So, please look this up in the Greek, anybody who can, and see if you see what this other fellow watchman and I saw--tell us whether we are right or wrong about this. What would be the fate of these angels cast down against their will? What would happen to them?
Since we're praying about this battle, please add this to the prayer list--if you're so burdened about this battle, Silentknight, then we need all the cards on the table. I invite any of us to research and pray about this aspect of the cosmic battle. Scottie Clarke (not the watchman I mentioned) has publicly suggested he thinks the angelic battle might very well last for the entire 3.5 first years of the Tribulation. I can't say if that's the case, but it's a sobering thought.
Please help us figure out what the deal is about the angels being dragged and cast down. Anybody?

Interesting thought Jim! I am no expert in Greek either....the interlinear Greek for "dragged" is "suro".....it is used 5 times in the Bible and always seems to mean just that, the objects of the word seem to be "dragged" unwillingly. "Cast down" is widely used throughout the NT, and literally means "thrown", with some force at times.
What does this mean? Unsure....except we know that there are great unseen heavenly battles going on....and it cannot be a good thing!

Right. I had always assumed it was referring to an event long in the past, when 1/3 of the angels were influenced by satan to defect from God's service. But the context of the passage and the evident meaning of these words seems to indicate otherwise. UNLESS the reference to the 1/3 of the stars actually has nothing to do with angels--but it seems clear that the stars (while quite possibly having an astronomical visual context) are referring to angels.

I understand Jim. I have had a concern for sometime that I just expressed out loud to my family the other day and your commentary is an interesting coincidence. I have often been bothered by the idea that we have this great and awesome God and yet, somehow as much as 90% of mankind and 33% of angels reject him? The angels certainly have seen him for who he is and yet they still rebel against him? That has bothered me. But perhaps they are deceived or forced in some way to fall. Interesting that you would bring this up just a couple days after I mentioned my feelings to my family.
I understand the concern and I am not treating our involvement in the war lightly. I will continue to look into these things. But I am still very pressed that we play a role and I do not want to shirk my part however small it may be. We need to each submit this earnestly to the Lord and ask for further instructions and for understanding. I think this is a moment wherein we must be diligent and not be caught up in the cares of this life and (sort of) forget about the battle that is raging.
We stand on Jesus and Him alone - but He is our head - we are the body.

So glad to see that my brothers and sisters in Christ aren't treating this as a minor thing. In the physical world if we are here on September 24th this will be a huge obstacle on the spiritual topic just above, those angels being "dragged" fell because of pride and self will over service to the Most High. No person likes eviction and they are not robots. I have spent hundreds of hours listening to Dr. Michael Heiser even though we don't agree on the Revelation 12 date (He thinks it happened in 3bc) the insights into the unseen realm have been amazing and without knowing Christ through the Holy Spirit the Devine Council would be too much for any man to even start to understand. Let me stop right here and make something I have discovered along this journey clear, the Most High God could have wiped the slate clean and taken out the opposition thousands of years ago, He chose not to. I / we are finite beings while the LORD is Infinite and He created DNA and all of it's functions at least thousands of years ago yet we can't even fully map or read it. I would like to do a deep Greek study of this subject but to be honest starting full time school tomorrow I am not going to have the focus that I have enjoyed all summer. I will be praying that someone here gets the chance to step up and do the homework with the Greek. There is so much to discover and so much that we have been taught in Sunday School / Church is just the surface layer. This is the deep end of the olympic sized pool and there are many sharks in the water, be careful when you jump in, there will be attacks from all directions including those who you thought were on your side when you start challenging things that disrupt the dark spirits and the fallen angels. Wear the full armor of God before going public with the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. And pray for me and each other. God bless you all.

I had one more thought that I wanted to say before tomorrow when school starts and my mind turns to mush, every minute of the thousands of hours I have invested in the Revelation 12 sign has made me a better person, closer to my LORD, with a much better understanding of scripture, and a super deep awe of the power of God. This sign has changed my life and I still don't know the whole ending. I really encourage anyone who can carve out time to invest it into the original languages Hebrew and Greek and with the help of tools like biblehub.com/kjv/revelation/12.htm most of the hard work is already done. I would say even the software isn't complete though so test all things and hold fast to that which is good. God bless you all. |

This guy doesn't understand the fact that the LORD will use Israel to judge the world so when he blames Israel try to get past that, with that said what he does cover is really happening and if we are still physically here on September 24th 2017 we must know the enemy regardless of how ugly he/it is. This is the dark world being held in check by the Restrainer. From what I can "feel" the 23rd may just be the "Day in time" when the Restrainer lets go and allows the judgement to happen. I can't see the unseen realm and as of tomorrow won't have the time, clarity, or ability to give 100 percent of myself. I will however be on the inside of the system creating the beast system and I have already seen much of it's inner workings. Pray for me while I continue to pray for all of you and wear all of your armor because it is getting extremely REAL. I am only posting this here because it is too deep for most to deal with.

I firmly believe we play a part in this war. And it doesn't consist of just watching. We need to go to battle - there may be consequences. As a matter of fact, I am quickly becoming spiritually certain that this is the moment for the fulfillment of the following scripture: Mat 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Mat 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Now is the time. He is showing us the signs, plotting the course, issuing the warnings - few are awake - those who are(like those on this site) need to step up and join the battle. This will mean we are in prayed always, proclaiming our agreement with the Father and Glorifying his name. I am unclear about the binding, but we must learn quickly, because (as EW mentioned above) binding we must do! I think the scriptures in my original post need to be prayed, but I also thing the Lord will lead each of us according to the gifts he has given us. Spread the word...Let's get this army built. In light of this note from 8/26, Does it seem odd to anyone that the first Harvey fatality was reported in Rockport and that this is effectively where Harvey made landfall? Could we say that once again, the Rock(Christ) took the hit for Corpus Christi(body of christ)(true church). Rockport - Rock = Jesus, Port = gate. I don't know, but does this seem to be a confirmation of this post from 8/26? I did not know where landfall was when I wrote that post, but that scripture seemed appropriate for the warfare that is coming upon us should we choose to join the ranks. Also, Corpus Christi was evacuated - the people were gone. Houston was not and suffered the storm. Between those two places - Rockport. |

I have been taking the call to pray for the angels seriously. I can't get over how unusual it is to be burdened to do so. Never in my life did it ever occur to me to pray for them until just recently, and now several of us are feeling the need. It certainly can't hurt to pray! Join with us, everybody, if you see the need.

Remember - we will judge the angels some day.
1Co 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
I do not believe I could righteously judge them if I do not stand with them and call out on their behalf at this time.
