Dr. Walt Brown has been a proponent of the hydroplate theory of the earth's crust for many years. I don't know if he's right about everything, but I have always found his studies very insightful (if he's right, but I can't argue with him).

So we didn't get a hurricane during the eclipse, which was good, but a couple of storms are threatening the coasts of the US now. It's too early to say exactly what will happen or how much, but one definite concern is that New Orleans does NOT need more rain right now, but is likely to get more.
