What do you all think of the reality/validity of the concept of predictive programming? On the one hand, I don't want to be a whacko who sees conspiracy around every corner. Yet, it is quite sobering to me when I see or more often hear about some of the things being produced by our "entertainment" industry (i.e., TV/movies/books). The first time I really started wondering about this stuff was when I saw a video with an old clip of a Simpsons episode in which somebody say something about Bruce Jenner being a woman. Who completely bizarre is that, and then years later it happens. This past week, I watched part of another video that talked about some TV show called the "Leftovers". I don't watch much TV besides some news and maybe a Hallmark movie or sporting event so I had never heard of this show that apparently was on HBO. Here is a copy and paste from Wikipedia summarizing the show:
"The Leftovers starts three years after a global event called the "Sudden Departure", the inexplicable, simultaneous disappearance of 140 million people, 2% of the world's population, on October 14, 2011. Following that event, mainstream religions declined, and a number of cults emerged, most notably the Guilty Remnant."
When I heard this, I sensed in my spirit this is one more sign that we are close to the end. And then I heard that old Neil Diamond song, the theme from ET, and thought to myself they have been conditioning people for the end for years. Sure seems like they are trying to prepare the "Leftovers" for some fantastic lies to explain our soon departure.
When it comes to food, I am one who likes to make the most of leftovers. However, when it comes to the rapture and the things of God, I have absolutely no appetite for being a leftover. Would be interested to hear what others think about this idea of predictive programming and whether it bears witness to your spirit as yet another sign of the times?
P.S.--please use great caution, wisdom and discernment if you decide to do some research on some of this predictive programming stuff. I would not want the enemy to use this thread as a tool to expose you to something that He does not want your mind exposed to.

Well, we have done quite a bit of studying these things in the past months. The movies being put out this year are clearly prophetic in certain ways, and the question is, Could the enemy know, and be doing this intentionally, or are these things that God has been doing--what we call a Balaamic prophecy, or Caiaphatic prophecy--when a non-believer inadvertently prophesies for God.
Wonderwoman, Beauty and the Beast, Dunkirk, and various other films have some very clear prophetic references in them. Pop music does too. Gary showed how the opening from "Little Shop of Horrors," many years ago, had some incredibly blatant end time prophecy in it.
Not that we like, appreciate, or endorse these movies. It's just that like Caiaphas and Balaam of old, these people are, knowingly or not, pointing to the coming of the Lord.

I used to watch a lot of Doctor Who with my husband. I see ideas that are put forth in the show preparing the remaining, or at least keeping them happy in the state they are in. For example, The Cybermen. The Cybermen are an upgrade on humans. They take the brain (I guess) and out it into a robotic overwrite and then into a metal body. Kind of a play on our future perfect bodies, but telling the humans that we are basically robot zombies. The world president. Doctor Who is apparently the world president in the latest season. One world government comes together time and time again to defeat the alien invaders. The Missy plotline. She was taking souls after they died and putting them into cybermen. The only way to prevent becoming a cybermen was to be cremated. There are probably others that I am forgetting, there are so many episodes, but I do feel that shows are preparing those who remain for: -an "alien" invasion -that you really wouldn't have wanted to be raptured anyways as they all are robotic-like singing hymns all the time (lol) -one world government
The spinoff Torchwood had a really odd third season with a FEMA-style plotline. It was cancelled midway through the story at the end of season 3 but still makes me wonder what they were trying to prepare people for. Definitely won't rewatch now that I am a Christian though.

You can't leave out The Simpsons reference to Donald Trump being president... IMO there is a lot of predictive programming put into The Simpsons over the years.

I love leftovers too! They are my favorite food to eat for breakfast. I agree on not wanting to personally be a leftover though. Lol

Predictive Programming is certainly something the "Elite" practice on society. I am not 100% certain they even know what they are doing, although I believe some do. These are the true Luciferians others just blind followers of what they believe is best to promote their careers, agenda's, etc. Just look around at the people mezmorized by what is going on in their own little worlds of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, SnapChat and the like. These are designed to promote a deception and distraction from truth. Most people dont realize what is true any longer. I hate to say that it is possible we dont know what truth any longer either with one exception, His WORD. Thankfully we have the Word to follow and be rooted, and grounded. Other programming from the media world is the news. As I allude, they want us to know what they want us to know. How many times have you heard on CNN, FOX, NBC, etc about the famine, war, Cholera issue going on in Yemen? Once maybe. Instead they force the "Trump did this" or "Russia did that" agenda down the throats of all who will allow it to divert their attention from reality. Does some of that have a role in what we (those who understand the End is near) believe? Yes of course as we know that "Wars & rumors of wars" will accompany the end times. To digress a little, another one I have heard quite a bit is the possibility of a "Planet X or 9 or 10 or Nibiru". There have been several allusions to this throughout the last year or so as there is some planet out there. Is it possible? Is it likely? (my opinion) Yes. But they herald it as if its not an issue, but wouldnt it be? What caused the 3 hours of darkness and great earthquake when our Lord was crucified? There also is a possibility of the leaking of this information to help usher in the Alien agenda. I could go on and on with theories, but in the end I do believe they are trying using predictive programming on those who are asleep!

Oh and something just came to mind. Programming by omission. I touch on it above but think about this. Did you know CERN is the most expensive, most powerful machine on the planet? I didnt know about until about a year ago. Ask 10 people if they know what it is and what they do there, chances are 9 of 10 have no clue. Why? Did you know the Vatican controls a telescope in Arizona called Lucifer? Again why would the grammar school teach that, why would High School and post grad educators teach about it? What is the Vatican looking for? Why has Pope Francis encouraged Catholics to accept there may be life on other planets or that he would baptize aliens?

Revisiting this old thread on predictive programming because I have seen a couple of things lately that refer to a movie called "Oblivion". I had never even heard of it before (not surprising as I am not particularly well-versed with the pop culture movies for many, many years now), but apparently it was produced back in 2013 and had, among others, Tom Cruise in it. Anyway, seems that part of the story line indicates that Superbowl 51 (which was last year's Superbowl in Feb of 2017) was the last Superbowl to ever take place on earth. The movie, back in 2013, describes the 2017 game a come-from-behind classic, which it absolutely was, as anyone who recalls the game would attest. In one scene, Cruise is standing on the completely destroyed grounds where the stadium once stood. It is now demolished in the movie, in a post-apocalyptic world, although amongst the ruins is an engraved concrete structure that reads 2017 World Champions. It does appear like it is attempting to communicate the idea that the last Superbowl on earth was played in 2017, Superbowl LI (51 in Roman numerals is LI, which is kind of what the tilted remaining goalpost looks like...an L I.) I got this from a brother on YouTube, Todd on the channel It is Finished. Don't know how significant this is and what exactly it portends, but it sure seems more than a little bizarre to me. Of course, so did Trump on the Simpsons 16 years before he became President, and Bruce Jenner being called a woman, again on the Simpsons, years before he became she. And an Illuminati card that depicts the Twin Towers tragedy 5 or 6 years before it happened. Greater is He that is in us, than he who is in the world, but clearly he is at work in the world. Going to post Todd's video here--just a little over five minutes. He ties it to a possible rapture watch time, in combination with some other things going on. Would be interested to hear thoughts from others on this.

Very interesting! Also, remember the 1988 cover of the Economist magazine stating that 2018 would be the year of world currency. Edit - just to say that it is just dated 2018 on the coin - not sure what the article says. Attachments:

I like Todd a lot... he is longing for Jesus and his enthusiasm has been encouraging to me. The clip he showed was really interesting. I’ve never seen the movie but that scene was pretty eerie. My eyes have been opened lately to how much of our world is under the control of the enemy, and seeing this darkness makes me want to get out of here even faster! Thanks for sharing. There are A LOT of signs pointing to 1/31. I hope that day isn’t just another link in the chain! This chain is getting long and heavy!

Wow, that is eerie. Hopefully the Lord takes us soon. Recently I have been noticing a lot of "predictive programming" going on in so so so many facets of media, especially film and television though. Does anyone know what the purpose of them doing it is? Like are they just slyly gloating over us that they have so much control right now or what?

I think part of it is communicating plans to the followers of the dark side.
