Looks to me like preparations are all getting in place for the temple to eventually be built! I've got the feeling it may be very soon, and I suspect it will occur after the rapture happens.

I've often wondered...is there an estimated time to how long it would take to build the temple?

There is so much activity going on around preparation for the Temple; it seems to be gaining momentum even as the Temple Mount dispute remains the final obstacle. Think about it. DNA tests to see who qualifies to be a Levitical priest. Garments made. Utensils made. Architectural plans drawn up. Priest school established. Spotless red heifer pursued. Still, I cannot help but wonder if we will be gone before it gets built, as I tend to believe it could very well be a major part of the Daniel 9:27 covenant that is confirmed. I also have thought that the Antichrist-defiled tribulation Temple will not end up being the millennial temple for Yeshua. Is there any scripture to support that idea, or is that just me?

That's obvious. Ezekiel's temple is pure; Antichrist's temple is an abomination to God, I would think. It will probably be wiped out.

Somewhere we have a thread about it. The Temple Institute concedes that the temple they intend to build is not, and can not match the dimensions of Ezekiel's temple. So they are trying to make it similar to the 2nd Temple.
The dimensions of Ezekiel's Temple would not fit in all of Jerusalem today-- it will have to wait until the Lord flattens the ground.

A lot of people make a big deal out of the fact that the Temple Mount might not be the location of the Temple. It could just be Fort Antonia.
That said, I still fully expect the Third Temple to be built on the Temple Mount. The next fully God-ordained Temple is Ezekiel's Temple, which is huge and basically will only fit in Jerusalem once the current city is completely gone.
The Third Temple is an act of defiance in a way because it is a rejection of the finished work of Christ and the a/c will use it as his throne.

It has always been so fascinating to me that there are always 75 days from Yom Kippur to the first day of Hanukkah (Tishri 10 to Kislev 25). I believe the Lord will split the Mount of Olives on a Yom Kippur and 75 days later (1260+30+45=1335), He will dedicate the Millennial Temple spoken of by Ezekiel. Hannukah, although not listed as one of the Lord's seven feasts, has always been associated with the re-dedication of the Temple. Too perfect of a fit, IMHO.
