I was watching a video refuting Calvinism, and the speaker said something interesting, that "whenever you see the word "selah" there is a reference to the end times 5 verses before or after". I haven't heard this claim before. Well, doing a search, I found this: www.nowtheendbegins.com/the-real-meaning-of-the-word-selah-in-the-bible/Has anyone heard of this? Can anyone else expound? Shall we do a study? Verses that contain the word "selah": www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=H5554&t=KJVwww.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?strongs=H5553&t=KJVETA: On a side note, the 2nd link says this: "What’s fascinating about the passage in Isaiah 42:11 is that it refers to the people of Selah as the “inhabitants of the rock”. Obadiah also mentions a civilization that lives in the rocks in the Land of Edom. Selah Petra was the capital of Edom" Scholars who Jay Smith, a polemicist against Islam (whose YouTube channel is well worth subscribing to) has an excellent presentation here, revealing that Islam likely does not come from Mecca or Medina (or Mohammed), it comes from the Nabateans, the capital of which is Petra! So we have a connection between Islam, Petra and the Edomites.

Socal, I had never heard that before, but it makes sense! Wow! That could give us a whole new way of looking at the Psalms!
