So I thought I would share this, today at work I got to witness to a Jehovah witness it was very out of the blue but it was cool. She believes that Jesus was God's son but not God and so I told her that would make the sacrifice that Christ made on the cross insignificant, because only God can be perfect and die for the sins of the world and then rise again. It was definitely weird hearing her point of view of the gospel as it was completely backwards from what I believe. However, she said that she didn't have answers for some of the things I asked her and she wants to talk more about it so maybe God's on to something here.
Would you guys pray for her?

They are tough ones to reach.
I had three coworkers who were of that persuasion. One of them retired, and one of them died suddenly of a heart attack. I have much regretted not talking spiritual things with D. before he died. We never saw his death coming, as he seemed to be in fairly good health, in his early 60's. I much regret not interacting with him about spiritual matters. The third guy is still with us, and I have been able to talk to him some, but not a whole lot.

If she is anything like one of my dear friends recent encounter, she will come prepared with material to your next meeting. She will not be able to take anything from you, so if she does, you are doing awesome! I strongly advise you to be prepared and do some research to keep on guard.
My friend felt she was strong enough in her faith to witness to a Jehovah Witness. She ended up having several meetings and began to falter in her personal defense of things we believe as Christians. At what became the last meeting, she had sent out an email requesting prayer and I was actually able to stop over and sit through the meeting with her. Although not as prepared as I would have liked, I was able to help my friend have conviction in what she believed but was sadly unable to effectively witness to the JW lady. They are no longer having meetings as the JW's are not allowed to have friendships outside their group and are only allowed to have meetings for witnessing.

Anyone know of any good videos that discuss ways in which to witness to Jehovah's Witnesses when they come to your door? It might be some helpful information so we know what they believe and how we can best help them to see the truth.

She was looking for me to buy one of her books to help her out with school. I simply planted two seeds: 1. "Do you know what is going to happen on September 23, this year?" 2. "You should check out Revelation 12:1-2"

I showed Rev. 12 to my JW coworker. He showed me that the JW's have some really wacky and sadly inadequate and misleading interpretations of Revelation 12.

I have lived in my current Town-Home since the Fall of 2004. Granted, it has only been since late 2012 -- that I have been able to work from home -- so that I am "HOME" during normal business hours.
Why am I stating all this?
Because -- though I have heard tales of people "coming to the door" doing some type of witnessing -- I have never experienced it.
That is until TODAY -- when two well dressed females knocked on my door (later I learned they were Jehovah's Witnesses)
They wanted to know if I experienced anxiety; before I could answered (maybe I had a look of confusion on my face) -- the one doing most of the speaking handed me a pamphlet and said I could read the pamphlet and the Bible to rid myself of anxiety (which I still had not said anything -- other than hello). Thanked me for coming to the door and turned to leave -- before I finally responded "umm Ok have a nice day"
I glanced at the pamphlet -- only then noticing it was the "WATCHTOWER" publication -- which also told me they were Jehovah's Witnesses -- though neither the pamphlet nor the ladies informed me as such.
I guess I am too scary of a Guy -- to actually require a full witnessing approach -- so only got a pamphlet......
BUT I do find it interesting that this year -- would be the year I get witness too -- kind of -- sort of ---
Least I got asked about me experiencing anxiety ......

Praying for the JW and for del... first mentioned in this thread! Here is my question: Has anyone pointed out the "controlling" aspect of their not being able to meet or take information from others? Could that reasoning alone point to something "odd" or restrictive about the "rules" of their church organization without even picking up the Bible to defend Scriptures? My question to them is "why would I want to join a "church" with such rules of "works" and "restrictions" when we are saved alone by God's Grace, and can have a personal relationship with Jesus?" (of course the Bible would be opened at this point to show these scripture references...) It sounds more like a club than a religion or "church". Isn't a church a gathering of free-willed people eager to share in the Gospel, and learn from the Bible directly, not from another, separate book of rules telling you what is in the Word. If their church is considered a Christian church, these are the things I would ask them...
Are they Christian? If so, why, what makes them so? I am ignorant of their tactics...I feel so sorry for those who are deceived by cults...
