The myth gained some traction after the 2011 Fukushima earthquake and subsequent tsunami, which killed more than 20,000 people. At least a dozen oarfish had washed up onto Japan's coastline in the year prior to the disaster, according to Kyodo News. |

I live in the Denver metro area and it was reported here as a 5.3, but even 4.6 is higher than I've seen here since moving here in 1993. We also had one a week or so ago that was in the 3 range. I've been woke up by 2 earthquakes in the past. One in California in 1973 and one in Germany in 92 or 93. I also experienced one while awake on Guam where I felt and saw the building moving in 79 or 80. Sadly,I don't remember the magnitude of any of them.

Mary Greeley posted about this guy, a friend of hers. I don't if he knows something we don't, but I thought it important to share, just in case.
Also, Japan issued a warning for a very large EQ expected. Sightings of the Oarfish were said to be an indication.

fitz - that message from EMA was from March 6, so 72 hours is tomorrow thru 2 weeks would be March 20, a week from this coming Wed. 9.0 in Japan would massive, yikes

I remember reading from the comments from the site (I can't remember which) that they noticed certain signs like bubbling in water or pond, and dead fishes showing up at the coast. I think its somewhere by L.A. or California. Sorry, I can't remember which site is it. Can anyone confirm though?
