Yep, typically a 4.0 in Cali. seems to be perceived as worse than 5.0's elsewhere. And, there have been a string of quakes in So. Cal. today, all roughly along the San Andreas fault line including a 4.9 in the Gulf of California several hundred miles south of San Diego. Praying your sister will remain safe and if the big one happens, that she and the rest of us will fly away!
