I was reading today about the constellation of Pleiades which are also called 7 sisters of heaven. This constellation represents the 7 Churches. There is interesting verse in Amos that speaks about it: “He made the Pleiades and Orion…” (Amos 5:8) In Hebrew Kimah (Pleiades) comes from the root word koomawz which means a jewel. And the root word for the Kesil (Orion) is kawsal which means silly or foolish. So when I was looking at the root words the Lord reminded me about the parable of 10 Virgins. So I got super-excited. Pleiades represent the 5 wise Virgins and the Church, and the Orion represents the foolish Virgins and the Jews living under the old covenant of slavery. Yay! If we continue to read Amos 5:8 it says: “…He turns the shadow of death into morning” and that’s sinners become His saints. Then “And makes the day dark as night” and that’s what happened at the cross when Jesus (Day) became Sin (night). Then “He calls for the waters of the sea And pours them out on the face of the earth”. And that’s Gentiles (waters) become crafted into the natural olive tree (earth). Apostle Paul probably got inspired by Amos and wrote the 11th chapter of Romans: “Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable [are] His judgments and His ways past finding out!” Man, the God’s truths are that simple and all the answers were right before my eyes all this time, but first I was looking with my left eye and saw 10 Virgins as the Church and then I was looking with my right eye and saw them to be only Jews. But when the awesome Lord opened my both eyes then I could see the whole picture. I haven’t chewed on the rest of the parable in the light of this revelation yet, because I was busy doing this…

The wise Virgins telling the foolish ones: “lest there should not be enough for us and you” would probably means mixing Law & Grace. The believers said: “We can’t mix law and grace otherwise we all become lukewarm." No wonder in the letter of Hebrew author calls Holy Spirit (oil) Spirit of Grace and also warns Jews to look “carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God…” (Heb 12:15) The “fall short” in Greek is one word and it literally means “to be late”.
The Church will get raptured and the Jews will realize what happen so they start to pray to the Lord and He says: "I don't know you" or "You don't have the Holy Spirit by which I come to know." So the next chance for them would be the Parable of the Talents. By telling Jews the parable of 10 Virgins Jesus was telling them the same thing He said in Deuteronomy: "I will provoke them to jealousy by [those who are] not a nation; I will move them to anger by a foolish nation." Indeed the Lord made fist (wise) last and last (foolish) first.

So I think you are saying that you can see now how this can at least partly apply to the rapture of the church, and not strictly to the end of the tribulation period! It is a very deep and intriguing parable, that Jesus did not explain fully--as I was trying to say earlier, I do see how there are multiple ways of looking at it, and quite possibly multiple true applications and meanings.

Fascinating discovery, paul! And it is amazing that truthseeker and sam posted recently about their discovery of the Revelation 15 sign that involves the Pleiades, too! Perhaps the discoveries are connected to one another. Could the 10 virgins possibly be the Jews and the Christians during the time of the Tribulation Period? The wise virgins (Christians) await the return of the Lord to set up His kingdom, and the foolish virgins (Jews who are awaiting their Messiah but who don't understand yet that He is Jesus) don't have the oil of the Holy Spirit? I don't know... Just thoughts... If the video sam and truthseeker provided in their post does indeed show the Revelation 15 sign, the passage regarding the Pleiades connection is verse 2, which shows these believers as those who had gone through the Tribulation period: " And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God." And if that theory is correct, does that also maybe indicate that the letters to the 7 churches do have part of their fulfillment in the churches being Tribulation Period churches? It seems the letters to the churches have multiple ways of being fulfilled.

Whatif, I did watched some video on YouTube posted by Fisherman about Rev 15 sign and 7 angels. It's a great discovery. All the signs points to the fact that the Jacob's trouble right around the corner.

In light of this revelation I would say that the parable of the 10 Virgins primarily applies to the rapture of the Church unless the doors of heaven will be open until "another" rapture and the receiving of the tribulation multitudes. It seems they are will be open...

Isn't it awesome to see God's plans unfold, paul? What an amazing time we live in! Indeed it is! I feel like a disciple whom Jesus loves. Is in it interesting that John called himself "the disciple whom Jesus loved"? This phrase can only be found in his own Gospel. Jesus loved all the 12 the same, but only John knew it. He wrote is his epistle: "We have known and believed the love that God has for us." <3
