Good morning! This news caught my eye this morning. I remember that someone else here at the forum mentioned the Russian satellite Mayak, so I was very interested to find that it is set for launch on July 14 this year. If I recall correctly, President Trump will be in France celebrating Bastille Day on that day. Here's an article about it that gives some very interesting details...

DANG IT! I finally got a telescope yesterday, and I'll be able to use it for 8 days?! Ugh.

I made a telescope, actually . It's a 60mm built with PIC pipe and wood. They had a class that was cheap for such a good lens and eyepiece! I might fiddle with it later, or build a second based off the first. It's not super powerful, but it can see the rings of Saturn, so I'm happy. It also has a solar projector I'll use for the eclipse. Pretty cool, eh?

This pyramidal shaped satellite is actually called "Mark". I think Matthew M (a member here) first shared this with me. It will be brighter than Venus or Jupiter.

So if they launch it as planned this July 14, what might be the prophetic implications of it being in the sky at this time of the Great American Eclipse and the Revelation 12 sign? A pyramid-shaped "mark" in the sky...

Wow. . . . is this Pyramid going to be over "Little Egypt" any time soon???
You know a month or so ago I dreamed about a night sky object brighter than Venus going around the earth. . . .

Mayak means beacon, or lighthouse. This is also the name of Russia's first nuclear facility. Strange such a small thing will be able to reflect so brightly. Will this be a beacon for some nefarious purpose? Will it, as Beloved points out, clutter the night sky and keep people from properly observing other significant signs? Will it interact with the Eclipse or the Great Sign? Could this have anything to do with the dragon? www.rt.com/news/333659-mayak-russia-glowing-satellite/

I'm amazed that they can make a satellite that's brighter than Venus. I know that some satellites have been visible to the naked eye, but this thing is so tiny, it does rather "suspend disbelief." I guess we'll see whether it comes to fruition or not.

Interesting that the satellite is being launched from 'Magog'...

Fascinating, yardstick! I hadn't caught that point!
I am wondering if there's been any confirmation yet that it has launched... Today is the day it was scheduled... Anyone know?
