After rereading Daniel I have come to the conclusion that Daniel 11 is actually about the years before the antichrist rises to power. I know the contemporary belief is that this was fulfilled by Antiochus but it doesn't make sense since this was the only part of Daniel that was sealed to the end. What do you guys think?

Wow. I was just reading that chapter a couple hours ago and trying to make sense of it. It is one of the most complicated chapters there is.
I definitely see it as confusing, and I definitely see it as an example--maybe an extreme example--of multi-fulfillment prophecy. IE, the text weaves in and out of the centuries--parts of it are fulfilled early, other parts much later, and some parts probably more than once.
The opening verses of Daniel 12 seem to give some degree of context:
Key phrase being the first one: "And at that time"
Dan 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. Dan 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. Dan 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

Yes I agree it is showing the emergence of the antichrist in complete detail starting from its roots in Alexander the Great. A lot of scholars believe it was fullfilled already but that doesn't quite fit with the idea that it has been sealed until the end. Also it orchestrates the exact dealings that the antichrist will be involved in which will ultimately lead to his power. I believe most of these have already taken place in the last decade

Interesting! This has been a very confusing passage to me. Could you show how most of these have taken place in the last decade?

This one probably talks about war in Heaven in Rev 12 and the great tribulation (3.5 years) that follow...

Yes, Paul, that's what I was thinking, though I'm not completely sure from context. But I do think that's the best explanation I have at this point.
