This is the style of worship music sung in my church. This first video is Paul and Sherry Zimmer, good friends of mine, who are missionaries in Micronesia. I believe this recording is at Harvest Baptist Church in Guam, although I could be mistaken. They serve on the island of Yap, south of Guam. You can see the words of the song on the screen behind them.

And this is background on my friends Paul and Sherry and their ministry. I was privileged to visit them on their island in 2012 and speak in their church and help with their new building.

So awesome seeing the Guam videos, watchmanjim! So, do the people native to that area speak English well? Many of them do. It is the official trade language of Micronesia. On some islands, nearly everyone speaks English as well as their native tongue, on some islands, only a few people do. Micronesia is an island group, and has several different nations and territories in it, so there's a lot of variation. On Yap, where the Zimmers serve, probably 80-90% of the people speak enough English to communicate. Guam is the biggest island in the area (Micronesia spreads out over an area of ocean bigger than the United States, but you could probably fit the land mass area into Rhode Island, or at least Delaware). Guam is both the biggest island, and the logistical hub for all of Micronesia. You have to fly through Guam to get there by commercial passenger jet. Guam belongs to the US, but most of the islands are part of about 4 nations that are supposedly independent, but in reality, highly dependent on the US for funding.

Fascinating! I have a friend who is teaching in Indonesia and has also served in Kenya and Brazil. It is such a pleasure to me to see pictures of the people who live in places so far away and to see what the Lord is doing there!

I was talking by messenger last night to my friend "Truly" who is a Micronesian native. He and his wife are helping with a church in Chuuk. It is so good to see the Lord working in the islands.
