A recent news item from Czech scientists about the "Taurids" belt found several large asteroids that are near Earth that were heretofore unknown, and the Earth is at higher risk for a major strike about every other year through year 2025! I believe John's description in Revelation of a "flaming mountain" falling into the sea is his description of an asteroid strike...

My personal pet theory is this: During the 8/21 eclipse, The Revelation 12:3 sign will become apparent in the form of Planet X. People will freak out but NASA will calm everyone down saying that they can deflect it. Thusly people will have two choices, listen to what the bible has to say regarding this sign or trust man to take care of it for you.

I think so too, although I'm not sure if it's more of a planet, or a comet.

If Planet X is real (highly doubt it), and it's a planet, and it's heading for us, we have as much of a chance of surviving as a fish does in the Sahara. NASA's best efforts would do NOTHING. They couldn't even deflect a comet, let alone an Earth or Neptune sized planet!

You are right about that. The most reasonable line of thinking I've seen on this is that if it is planet-sized, it actually breaks up into fragments, either after hitting Jupiter, or after being influenced by the sun's gravity at its closest approach to the sun. Then it would be fragments of this thing that would be thousands of huge meteors, and some of these would hit earth.
