While I do hope the Revelation 12 sign is pointing to the Rapture being this year; I have yet to come to the place that I am 100% certain it will be. As I result, I still review videos, read articles, read books to see if there is any more information that will finally nail that certainty for me.
This weekend I purchased two books (Kindle Version) for some further study. Note, I am not listing the titles, nor the authors – because I am not recommending them to be viewed by anyone. I am giving some cautionary advice about purchasing books simply based upon the title, as well as making a prayer request that – people who have read these books will not have their minds clouded to the actual truth.
One possible sliver of hope is that IF books such as these are promoting such “False Hood” – maybe the “Dragon” is getting really worried about the “SIGN” and is pushing his own agenda in the attempt to counter it.
The first book was not too far off base; however, it did insist that at some point in the past the Sun rose in the west and set in the east. It also seemed to imply that sometime in the future – the sun would rise in the west and set in the east. Apparently (after some research) – there are some Muslim sects that believe – the end is near when the sun rises in the west. Not saying the author of this book was Muslim; however, this was not only one topic of his I felt did not align with scripture. This author is also a Partial Rapture pusher. In other words, he believes only those who are truly committed, and have “worked out their salvation” – will be the ones raptured. (my response to the partial rapture is near the end of this post).
The second book author is a Mormon (or he described it as a member of the true church The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). I did not know it at the time I purchased the book (otherwise, I would not have). Once I made the discovery, I stopped reading – and only quickly browsed the rest of it. Will not pass on the weird ideas here – but did find it eye opening – that some people are using the same sign to promote some very strange ideas.
The Sermon, I listen to this past Father’s Day Sunday – really helped put things into perspective for me. The sermon was based off of Romans 3. The gist of the message was that we are all sinners, possibly some worse than others – but even the very best of the best of us – are still sinners before God’s righteousness. And that is OK! God recognized our (humanity) NEED well in the past and decided to provide a resolution to the problem. Because God’s LOVE was so great for us (His creation) – He provided a way to atone for ALL SIN, through the shedding of Blood of His Son Jesus Christ. This atonement is a “ONE TIME” deal. All Sins have been covered – Past, Present, Future.
None of us get a second portion. It was done once for ALL.
Some feel God is up in Heaven – keeping a Score Card; jotting down all our failures. Ready to pounce upon us the moment we step out of line.
But the truth of the matter is God is the perfect Father. Ready, willing and able to reach each of His children in the way that is needed at that time. Praise, for the one who was able to produce some spiritual fruit. Comfort for the one who needed “picked up” after having a stumble.
Jesus even said when he was here the first time – if earthly fathers know what to gift their children; how much more does God know what to gift His children.
Those that hold to a Partial Rapture view; seem to forget the powerful Love God has already displayed. He sacrificed His Son to restore fellowship with His creation. The Apostle Paul’s letters seem to indicate that there will be some rewards for some believers; as well as some believers who have all their works burned up – yet they are still saved and in fellowship with God. That LOVE is not going away. God is faithful to complete it – even if we stumble along the way.
God is the perfect Father and He is always there for His kids!
