Turns out, the pride of the Russian navy, the Moskova, was in a sad, sorry shape when it was sunk. The maintenance report for the ship came out two weeks before the invasion and if a US ship was that bad the commander would have been court marshalled, not to mention a lot of people being fired. To sum it up off the top of my head, the anti-air radar was broken, as was the main gun and 5 out of 6 phalanx-like point defense systems. Also, the intra-ship comms didn't work, and the damage control equipment was locked-up by the Admiral because of theft and corruption. Not to mention it couldn't go full-speed and the internal compartment doors leaked or were blocked open. Control indicator lights didn't work. Etc. If you want to get the full rundown watch this, or read the translated document linked in the description. Yeah, Ukraine actually sunk the Russian flagship with it's own Neptune (aka Harpoon-ski) missiles. Now the eastern Russian front is collapsing, largely due to incompetence. The south or center may soon follow. Russia is done as a world power. Russia isn't Gog, nor can it be even from a cultural-historical analysis. The Rus people didn't exist for over a millennium after Ezekiel lived, so it can't be an ancient name known at that time. They developed during the Viking Age, and that didn't include the people of Moscow (the Muscovites) which began around the 12th century IIRC.

Ihmo, Rev. 20 concisely explains when Ezek. 38-39 takes place. Some disagree, which is 100% ok with me.
I think what we're witnessing are the last vestiges of resistance against the coming beast system. Not that Russia was good by any means.
