Recently, I saw a YouTube video about how Starbucks is no longer accepting cash.
I was thinking that with the passing of the Queen, it might be the opportune time (in their eyes) to bring out a digital currency in the countries that had the Queen on their currency.
So according to the Guardian, it will take likely two years to replace the Queen on currency. Given the times that we are living in and the push to digital currency, will the powers in charge use this as a time to push us towards fully digital? Then in time, they could potentially deem all money with the Queen on it as valueless as the beast system comes around.
Anyways, just sharing my musings today. My husband figures that we won't see the end of paper currency in our lifetime but he also doesn't believe we are approaching or living in the end times. 🤦🏼♀️

sawdy, I agree that your musings could very well be spot on. I guess we'll see. I think the snowball is too big to stop by anyone but God/Jesus Christ!

sawdy , An interesting perspective. Are you aware that Australia de-monetized their $100AUD bill some years ago? As I understand it, they simply made the announcement, and then gave people a window of time to get them all turned in (e.g.: via deposit). Seems it would be pretty straight forward to do the same thing everywhere else in the commonwealth nations and with a much better excuse, as well.
