yardstick, Indeed! It's pretty fascinating to consider that Genesis 37 is the dream of the sun, moon, and 11 (implied 12) stars. Revelation 12 is the sign of the sun, moon, and 12 stars. Genesis 37 contains the first use of the word harpazo. Revelation 12 contains the last. Both Genesis 37 and Revelation 12 contain the same Greek words for rapture, devour, and son. Maranatha.

Another great study! God's word is full of parallels. It's also interesting to note how The deception about Joeseph's disappearance was a lie made up by his brothers who had sold him into slavery. I tend to believe that there will be another lie, made up when the rapture of the church happens, the lie that we were removed (devoured) by aliens, when in fact we will as bondservants of the Lord be taken captive by Him. Joeseph was believed to be dead by wild beasts, but in fact ultimately he became second in command to Pharoah and gained great wealth and distinction. The church will be brought into the presence of their Lord and Savior, fully sanctified and glorified to serve at His command in His kingdom, gaining the riches of eternal life! What will the world believe has happened to us? Most will believe the lie, but I believe many will also understand what really happened and turn to God. Just like Israel came to Egypt to find salvation from the famine, to find Joseph alive and well, Many will come to Christ when they realize the rapture is real and Jesus is real and the church is alive and well in God's kingdom and they too will follow Him and find sustainance for their souls! |
