This was shared on facebook by a family from our church. The lady doing the piano playing is his mom, but she does not attend our church. I thought maybe it would bless some of you. (He says they aren't fancy piano playings but the kind you hear in church. I think they are beautifully played.)
I can’t remember if I have told everyone this so here goes. For the past 3 yrs, mom and I have been working on a project of recording her playing hymns for a missionary in Kentucky.
Mom’s church supports a missionary in the Eastern hills of KY. They would go to their church/camp and help clean it up.
They would always have mom play the piano for their church services. In 2019, the pastor said they lost the pianist and wondered if she could record some hymns so they could sing them on Sundays. She said sure and that’s where I get involved. Mom asked if I could record her playing(I am the sound guy at our church). She told me that the pastor couldn’t find anything online that they could sing along with. We send him the mp3 of the hymns.
That gave me an idea. If that pastor needs help, I bet there are small churches elsewhere that need this as well. So I came up with the idea to make videos with the words of the hymns and moms piano playing, to help others who just want to sing along with their favorite hymn. Since 2019, mom has played 188 hymns. I have a YouTube channel and a Facebook page with these videos. I post one video a day on Facebook and I thought others may want to watch. To date, we have over 400 followers.

Yes, during chemo she came over a few times when she felt good. What a great time we have together. ❤️
