Dear Watchman family, Please pray for our son, Clay who is 17. He has a concave chest, and he said it felt like there was always a bag of concrete on his chest and it made him get tired quickly. 3 months ago he had surgery and they made two incisions -one on each side and put in a horizontal rod to push his chest out. It' not healing.😭😱 He has swelling and the incision is draining pus after 3 months, and he had Mono. They put him on a 9 day Steroid treatment and it helped the infection. The bar was six different types of metals so they could mold it. He goes back today to the surgeon for the 3rd time to see what the options are. My wife is overwhelmed. He can't tie his own shoes and can't sleep in his bed. We need wisdom and extra grace.
Love you guys. Merry Christmas.

Hello again, my watchman family- mike, boraddict, inaweofhim, Natalie, & others. Thank you so much for your prayers. He went to the Surgeon for the 3rd time Wednesday, we asked about the possibility of taking out the rod with the 6 metals, and just replacing it with a Titanium one, sort of like a car, you have the engine already taken apart, but he said that they would have to let him heal, which may be 2 or 3 months, and then cut him open again, and there still a chance he could be allergic to Titanium. He said that Clay is on the border- [he didn't have to have the surgery to live] and he recommended that we just take it out and not put anything in there. My wife and I and Clay are all at peace with this and so they will take it out this coming Tuesday-it's about a 45 min procedure. So much relief. Very Merry Christmas to all of you. I really love this community and have learned so so much from you. Maranatha. Disciple4life

Thank you, mike and you all so so much. The procedure went well. He'll be sore a few days, but at least now he doesn't have 3 separate allergies all going at once attacking his body and rejecting the metals. He should be able to sleep in a regular bed in about a week and sleep all night. So grateful to you and to God. In 2 weeks, -about the 6th of January, he goes back to get the stitches taken out. Blessings to you all in the coming year. We're that much closer to the Harpazo.

disciple4life, inaweofhim, Natalie, mike, boraddict, Gary, They took the bar out and he's on the mend. Even the surgeon doesn't know how long the recovery will be. Normally it should be about 2 1/2 months for the surgery itself, but due to the three different allergies of the six metals in the bar - his body was constantly reacting to multiple allergic issues and then starting draining fluid from the incisions, and his own tissue started coming out through the incisions. So Clay was the first any of the doctors or nurses had ever seen where a child was allergic to the bar that went into his chest. He's definitely getting better and hope he will be back to regular school next Wednesday, after the Christmas break. Blessings, and thanks for all your love and prayers.
